Dear Families,
Welcome back to all returning families and a big WELCOME to all new
families. We are very excited to begin a new school year and are looking
forward to working together.
My name is Charlotte Arojo and I have the privilege of serving as
your PAV president for the 2017-18 school year. I am so honored to be
working with an amazing group of Parents and Staff!
Our Parent Association of Volunteers is made up of parents/guardians of all
enrolled students. We work as a volunteer body to organize events and
support the activities of the school such as: Care Committee, Book Fair,
Parent Coffee, Eco School, Social/Special Events and the MEFI Fundraising
Campaign.
The volunteer source is essential to enriching the community life of our
school. Alone, we can do so little but together we can do so much. Keep in
mind that volunteering is a great way to interact with the kids, become
friends with other parents, and accomplish things that truly make a
difference. Please note reoccurring meetings:
• PAV Monthly Meeting (parents):
1 st Tuesday of each month, 8:30 – 9:30 am, our first meeting is
Tuesday, September 5
• Community Meet-Ups (family):
Last Friday of each month, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, our first Community Meet-
Up is Friday, September 29
• Parent Coffee (parents):
2 nd Thursday of each month, our first parent coffee is Thursday,
September 14

We very much VALUE our parents’ involvement. Whether you have 30
minutes, or a couple of hours, your ideas, your time, your talents, your
contributions and simply your voice are truly needed. We can match your
time constraints and interests to needed tasks. There are many ways that
Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and Businesses can contribute to
our community. There are endless possibilities in ways that you can help.
If you have any questions about the PAV throughout the year, or would like
to learn more, please contact any of the officers at pav@mhfcschool.com or
Norma at norma@mhfcschool.com
Sincerely,
Parent Association of Volunteers
