Bad Blue Slaughter

15 June 1963
• Not a day goes past without many blue whales
getting slaughtered, whale bloodbaths at the
beach and the whale population decreasing.
Things can’t get any worse for us blue whales.
Yes, that’s right I am a blue whale and you are
listening to me speak right now. You see I’m
the oldest, fattest, wisest, biggest and most
superior blue whale there is. I’m the chosen
one. I am immortal. I will never get caught. That
means that blue whales can never be extinct.
But hopefully that doesn’t happen.

• 23 June 1963
• A few more days will do it. Blue
whales will be gone. But it is
my duty to do whatever I can to
get blue whales to start
reproducing. “attention all blue
whales, I need you all to
quickly reproduce and then
stay alive for nine months”.

• 24 June 1963
• One day later and just under a
quarter of the blue whale females
have been announced pregnant.
This is a miracle.

• 18 March 1964
• In nine months, we have seen
every blue whale die except for
the ones that were carrying babies.
We have seen one of the greatest
battles in history. Sure,
slaughterers beat us in those nine
months. But they are not ready for
what’s coming next.

• 25 March 1964
• Our whale population now sits at 10,000. That means that we just doubled.

• 1 April 1964
Everyone that lives on the coast line of W.A
Coastline W.A
Dear everyone that lives on the coastline,
I am Amanda Jennings of Scarborough W.A 6019
I would like to make a petition about the endangerment of blue whales. For a long time, blue whales
have been getting slaughtered and I think it’s about time for that to stop. Blue whales are our world’s
biggest creature and it would be a shame to see them go. If we don’t get a lot of signatures on this
then we might have a new world’s biggest animal.
If you want to help this worthwhile cause, then I will highly appreciate your signature. Just go to
www.makeadifference.com.
Kind regards,
Amanda Jennings

• 8 April 1964
“here we have a petition with one thousand six hundred and forty-nine signatures. It
is from Amanda Jennings of Scarborough about blue whale endangerment” stated
David Brand
“her petition read,
Dear everyone that lives on the coastline,
I am Amanda Jennings of Scarborough W.A 6019
I would like to make a petition about the endangerment of blue whales…...”
“okay now let’s have a vote the seven of us just have to write down yes or no and I
will count them up”
“one, two against the petition. one, two, three, four, five for the petition”
“the petition will hereby be announced a law”

• 9 April 1964
• “good morning to everyone that is here today as a part of the house of
representatives. As you all know I am David Brand and we have a successful
petition today. It is about blue whales and the stop of slaughtering. A five to two
vote had this petition successful. I hereby ban slaughtering of blue whales from
everywhere in W.A. People can now expect up to two years’ imprisonment or a fine
if this rule is broken. Thankyou”

• 16 May 1964
• For some reason, the stupid
slaughterers have stopped. It’s
been over a month since our
population went up and I think we
are going to keep going up if the
slaughterers stop slaughtering us.
This is truly amazing and hey who
knows maybe we can get back to
about a year ago, who knows
maybe this is our comeback story.

• 19 July 1964
• I think I’m right.
• 29 October 1964
• Still nothing.

• 16 May 1965
• A whole year has passed and not one blue whale has been slaughtered.

• 18 May 1965
• It’s 31 degrees in winter. I am going to get the blue whales to make the most of this.
Let’s go swimming near the shore.

• 18 May 1965
• All 11,500 blue whales are swimming close to the shore but
this is starting to get rough. The waves are increasing
massively

• 19 May 1965
• It is 2 am and we can’t get out of these conditions. But we realise now that a tsunami
is approaching. All 11,500 blue whales are flopping up and down but it’s too late. A
140-foot wave has just crashed right one shore and we are all falling through the
city. Ow this really hurts.

• 20 May 1965
• I never thought I would say this but it
wasn’t the slaughterers. It was the tsunami.
It happened to wipe out our whole
population. But I just woke up in the water. I
feel like a god.

• Current day
• I am now 376. I live off little creatures. This totally sucks. I’m
so lonely. I thought immortality was good. But it’s not. I must
put up with this lifestyle forever. I am no god and life is
nothing special.
