Chairman’s Letter
Dear Associates,
September 2017
I trust you are enjoying some summer time fun (or winter time fun if you are Down Under) as we head into our Back-to-School season. We
wait patiently for summer to get here and then it seems to fly by.
Our Back-to-School season has been punctuated by Mother Nature. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our teammates and all of the
people impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. We continue to stand tall with the people of Barcelona, Manchester, London, Paris,
Brussels, and all areas that have been impacted by the unthinkable acts of terror around the globe.

As I recently shared, we have had a busy spring season. We have opened exciting new retail locations in Chicago, Rotterdam, Sydney
and Toronto. We have rolled out our first digital site on our new platform. New countries have been added to the Foot Locker Europe
app and the Launch reservation app has been rolled out nationally across the U.S. While we continue to adjust to a new and complex
retail landscape, we also recognize that these are exciting times as we focus on being a fully integrated, all channel business, with our
customers clearly at the center of our universe.
As we focus on becoming a better Omni channel retail destination, our operating model has five key attributes. I have discussed these on
our global video calls but want to reiterate them for your benefit.
Buy – Ensuring we have the right product for our customer across all channels.
Market – Driving customer engagement and exciting our customer across channels.
Sell – Having a single view of the customer with a clear understanding of how we serve them across channels.
Move – How we move product most efficiently through our supply chain to satisfy our customers.
Operate – Putting the right business model in place and evolving the business to best serve our customers.
Five simple capabilities that we must master as the shift in customer preferences continue to accelerate. We are well on our way and
moving quickly on this journey.
This issue of Locker Room is loaded with content. You will read about some sure-fire tips from our associates to help make BTS successful
with a focus on the customer experience. You will also learn about our BTS campaigns across our various brands and geographies. Our
Foot Locker Scholar Athletes have received their scholarships and you will get to meet them in this edition. You will also read about some
of the happenings around our global portfolio and see some of the great work that is being done by our associates as they are recognized
with Super Sneaker Awards. And there’s plenty more. I hope you enjoy it.
Once again, I’d like to thank you for all you do every day. As leaders, we will be faced with greater expectations than most to deliver as
a high performing global organization in this challenging business environment. I’m confident in the strength of our industry, and more
importantly, in our incredible team, to deliver a stronger performance over the next several months and continue to secure our premiere
position within the marketplace.

Foot Locker, Inc., and our charitable arm, Foot Locker Foundation,
Inc., have announced a significant contribution to support hurricane
disaster relief and recovery efforts in the wake of the recent hurricanes.
Our commitment includes a monetary contribution of $100,000 to
the American Red Cross, and $50,000 to our long-standing partner,
the Two Ten Footwear Foundation, in support of both organizations’
important disaster relief and rebuilding efforts.
“As thousands of people, including our customers and our very own
associates within the Foot Locker, Inc. family, remain without power,
heat, water, and for some, even a home to return to, we want to extend
our deepest sympathy and support for all those impacted and enduring
tremendous loss,” states Dick Johnson, Chairman and CEO, Foot
Locker, Inc. “We are moved by the outpouring of support across the
country and are committed to providing our assistance to address the
immediate needs of the communities affected, many of which, we have
been an integral part of and have served for more than four decades.”
In addition, the organization has activated a disaster relief fund to aid
affected associates and their families. The Foot Locker Foundation,
Inc. has made a significant contribution to this fund to assist associates
within the Company who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.
The Company has also provided associates across the country with
information about how they can contribute to the recovery efforts
through individual donations and volunteer opportunities.
Our merchant and marketing teams across all banners in the U.S. are
also hard at work in an effort to contribute an in-kind product donation
to those families in need. We will also encourage our consumers to
join us in donating to the American Red Cross throughout our stores,
websites, apps and social channels across all banners within the U.S.
As the relief efforts continue over the coming weeks and months,
Foot Locker, Inc. is dedicated to supporting the long-term recovery
efforts, and will continue to offer assistance to our affected customers
and employees.
