September <strong>2017</strong><br />

I trust you are enjoying some summer time fun (or winter time fun if you are Down Under) as we head into our Back-to-School season. We<br />

wait patiently for summer to get here and then it seems to fly by.<br />

Our Back-to-School season has been punctuated by Mother Nature. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our teammates and all of the<br />

people impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. We continue to stand tall with the people of Barcelona, Manchester, London, Paris,<br />

Brussels, and all areas that have been impacted by the unthinkable acts of terror around the globe.<br />

As I recently shared, we have had a busy spring season. We have opened exciting new retail locations in Chicago, Rotterdam, Sydney<br />

and Toronto. We have rolled out our first digital site on our new platform. New countries have been added to the Foot <strong>Locker</strong> Europe<br />

app and the Launch reservation app has been rolled out nationally across the U.S. While we continue to adjust to a new and complex<br />

retail landscape, we also recognize that these are exciting times as we focus on being a fully integrated, all channel business, with our<br />

customers clearly at the center of our universe.<br />

As we focus on becoming a better Omni channel retail destination, our operating model has five key attributes. I have discussed these on<br />

our global video calls but want to reiterate them for your benefit.<br />

Buy – Ensuring we have the right product for our customer across all channels.<br />

Market – Driving customer engagement and exciting our customer across channels.<br />

Sell – Having a single view of the customer with a clear understanding of how we serve them across channels.<br />

Move – How we move product most efficiently through our supply chain to satisfy our customers.<br />

Operate – Putting the right business model in place and evolving the business to best serve our customers.<br />

Five simple capabilities that we must master as the shift in customer preferences continue to accelerate. We are well on our way and<br />

moving quickly on this journey.<br />

This issue of <strong>Locker</strong> <strong>Room</strong> is loaded with content. You will read about some sure-fire tips from our associates to help make <strong>BTS</strong> successful<br />

with a focus on the customer experience. You will also learn about our <strong>BTS</strong> campaigns across our various brands and geographies. Our<br />

Foot <strong>Locker</strong> Scholar Athletes have received their scholarships and you will get to meet them in this edition. You will also read about some<br />

of the happenings around our global portfolio and see some of the great work that is being done by our associates as they are recognized<br />

with Super Sneaker Awards. And there’s plenty more. I hope you enjoy it.<br />

Once again, I’d like to thank you for all you do every day. As leaders, we will be faced with greater expectations than most to deliver as<br />

a high performing global organization in this challenging business environment. I’m confident in the strength of our industry, and more<br />

importantly, in our incredible team, to deliver a stronger performance over the next several months and continue to secure our premiere<br />

Foot <strong>Locker</strong>, Inc., and our charitable arm, Foot <strong>Locker</strong> Foundation,<br />

Inc., have announced a significant contribution to support hurricane<br />

disaster relief and recovery efforts in the wake of the recent hurricanes.<br />

Our commitment includes a monetary contribution of $100,000 to<br />

the American Red Cross, and $50,000 to our long-standing partner,<br />

the Two Ten Footwear Foundation, in support of both organizations’<br />

important disaster relief and rebuilding efforts.<br />

“As thousands of people, including our customers and our very own<br />

associates within the Foot <strong>Locker</strong>, Inc. family, remain without power,<br />

heat, water, and for some, even a home to return to, we want to extend<br />

our deepest sympathy and support for all those impacted and enduring<br />

tremendous loss,” states Dick Johnson, Chairman and CEO, Foot<br />

<strong>Locker</strong>, Inc. “We are moved by the outpouring of support across the<br />

country and are committed to providing our assistance to address the<br />

immediate needs of the communities affected, many of which, we have<br />

been an integral part of and have served for more than four decades.”<br />

In addition, the organization has activated a disaster relief fund to aid<br />

affected associates and their families. The Foot <strong>Locker</strong> Foundation,<br />

Inc. has made a significant contribution to this fund to assist associates<br />

within the Company who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.<br />

The Company has also provided associates across the country with<br />

information about how they can contribute to the recovery efforts<br />

through individual donations and volunteer opportunities.<br />

Our merchant and marketing teams across all banners in the U.S. are<br />

also hard at work in an effort to contribute an in-kind product donation<br />

to those families in need. We will also encourage our consumers to<br />

join us in donating to the American Red Cross throughout our stores,<br />

websites, apps and social channels across all banners within the U.S.<br />

As the relief efforts continue over the coming weeks and months,<br />

Foot <strong>Locker</strong>, Inc. is dedicated to supporting the long-term recovery<br />

efforts, and will continue to offer assistance to our affected customers<br />

and employees.
