This event proposal, prepared by Ahbria Marshall has been created exclusively for use by<br />
SKURT and the artist Hashtag Talia.<br />
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY<br />
Hop in the SKURT and ride out with R&B singer Hashtag Talia to get the full fan<br />
experience at Summer Rim Miami charity basketball tournament.<br />
BACKGROUND INFO<br />
Nothing feels better than knowing you and your friends are about to stunt and have some<br />
fun at the coolest charity basketball game in the city. You get that text message that your friends<br />
are on the way; so, you throw on your new outfit, take a couple selfies, and before you know it<br />
you can hear the squad outside your house screaming your name. These are the best moments.<br />
The “in-between” moments when you guys are just together having fun and enjoying the ride.<br />
Those moments when you catch up on gossip and scroll through your timeline to show the crew<br />
funny twitter videos. And you already know your friend sitting shotgun is juggling lipstick in the<br />
right hand and her phone in the left – managing to fix her makeup in the mirror while playing DJ<br />
at the same time. No one even asks to hold the charger cord because they don’t want to mess up<br />
everyone’s vibes of seat-dancing and singing at the top of their lungs.<br />
Hashtag Talia wants to collaborate with SKURT to provide those moments for those who may<br />
not have a ride to get to the game. She’ll pick up selected fans and their friend to get an exclusive<br />
listen to her upcoming mixtape “The Cover Up,” as well as watch her perform the National<br />
Anthem at Summer Rim. Hashtag Talia will also talk about what influenced her project in the car<br />
ride and give fans the ultimate VIP experience at the game.<br />
This campaign will cross promote SKURT and Hashtag Talia, using social media/content<br />
marketing. It will also enhance the relationship between the organizer Ahbria Marshall, eclectic<br />
artist Hashtag Talia, and SKURT for future events and collaborative opportunities.<br />
Although #HT has a solid fan base in the southern region, the focused audience for this event<br />
will be the Miami market with the purpose of giving back and fan feedback.While other singers<br />
focus on pushing a song, #HT wants to create a solid artist image through storytelling avenues<br />
and genuine content. Although #HT’s presence isn’t over the top, her sweet, mysterious<br />
personality makes her appealing to audiences.<br />
SITUATION ANALYSIS<br />

1) SKURT provides car for Hashtag Talia<br />
Reason: Give back to the community organically by providing a ride for contest winners in<br />
Miami to go to a community event
Benefits: Enlightening and caring content – <strong>Skurt</strong>’s brand will be apparent in a sector that<br />
competing brands don’t necessarily approach<br />
Measurement: Positive feedback from the winners, audience experience how <strong>Skurt</strong> works,<br />
number of participants in contest, potential positive press, concern/representation within the<br />
community that will support the business, content views on social platforms<br />
2) Cross promotion of SKURT and artist #HashtagTalia<br />
Reasoning: Create a working relationship<br />
Benefits: Increase in following for all brands affiliated in campaign<br />
Measurement: Social media follower growth, media views, publishing<br />
MARKETING CONCEPT/ KEY MESSAGES<br />
• Summer Rim Miami Tickets: Free attendance to the game<br />
Winners will be able to attend Summer Rim for free with #HT<br />
• Car<br />
We are asking if <strong>Skurt</strong> can provide a car to take fans to the game. The desired vehicle<br />
would be a SUV or something big enough to hold 4 people and a videographer. I<br />
understand the service of the car being dropped off, but if it helps I will go pick the car up<br />
as well. I would love if we could get it the day before or early the morning of the game<br />
(Sunday, July 23) to ensure no problems. We want to pick up winners by 12 p.m. noon<br />
due to Hashtag Talia’s performance. I also have a code if it is necessary: DPGSM. The<br />
event will end at 8 p.m. so I can also take the car back the next day Monday, or it can be<br />
picked up, whatever is best for <strong>Skurt</strong>. I also ask if <strong>Skurt</strong> doesn’t charge us for gas but let<br />
me know if this is a problem.<br />
• Signage and promotion<br />
<strong>Skurt</strong>’s social media will be promoted during the contest and in any visual content after<br />
the activation. In order to qualify, contestants will use either <strong>Skurt</strong>’s hashtag or have to<br />
follow <strong>Skurt</strong>. <strong>Skurt</strong>’s logo will be represented on social content as well. If you have any<br />
other signage that you would want included in pictures, videos, the car, at the basketball<br />
tournament, or given out you can either provide it or I can have it printed up. We would<br />
appreciate anything we can include in the gift bags we have, if you have bags we can use<br />
those as well for branding purposes.<br />
• Activation and Attendee Interaction<br />
I am asking <strong>Skurt</strong> to help drive the campaign and activation, possibly in the SUV at the<br />
basketball game. We have been given the OK to play music from the car speakers while<br />
people enter the game and I want to set up a mini basketball shooting game or table hoop<br />
for them to play. Something simple like if you make it in the hoop, you get a gift bag, a<br />
shirt, a CD, or a prize from Summer Rim. I can also place <strong>Skurt</strong> stickers on the mini hoop<br />
backboard or the ball depending on which basketball set we get. If <strong>Skurt</strong> could sponsor<br />
this activation it will be greatly appreciated, I’ve seen a few basketball sets for $30 or less<br />
but I can try to find cheaper.<br />
• Promotion of content on social platforms
I’m getting a videographer and photographer to put content together to publish on<br />
Hashtag Talia’s page. Peter said this wouldn’t be a problem but we would love if <strong>Skurt</strong><br />
could publish or retweet the content and tag Hashtag Talia.<br />
• Public Relations: We will push for positive press to shed light on all parties involved.<br />
• Anything in this document is subject to change if participating parties and <strong>Skurt</strong> needs to<br />
modify, add, or delete. I am just looking for a collaborative effort of any level from your<br />
brand so if you like something we can work and develop around it, and/or change things<br />
to your discretion.<br />

What: This year, Summer Rim Miami has joined forces with the Haitian Children's Initiative to<br />
collect shoes for donation towards the new school year in Haiti. You will automatically receive<br />
$5 off admission at the event if you donate school supplies/new shoes.<br />
“Summer Rim Miami is a Artist basketball tournament geared toward making South Florida fun<br />
again. Every one weekend in July we bring Rappers, Singers, Producers, Marketing Groups,<br />
Clothing Designers, etc. together to play for a cause! Summer Rim Miami was established in<br />
2014 and it gets bigger every year. Just in it’s first year we had over 300 attendees and the 2nd<br />
year, increasing by 200%. We allow the attendees to be involved by voting for their favorite<br />
teams, grabbing online give-a-ways and trash talking online. Above all, we give back to the<br />
