Working in Liverpool football club for two seasons on a grill bar meant that I have been able to meet some
amazing people and find a job that I enjoy going to. My sister has also just recently joined the Liverpool team
and also enjoys her time there as much as I do. So when the opportunity rose to go to the staff party we both
agreed to go with our work friends. The party also marked the end of my first year of uni, so I was ready to
fully enjoy myself. Going to something like this with my sister was really strange but after being there a while
we ended up dancing the night away together (as per usual when we go out). I was also given the task to do
her make up and mine, meaning that we had to start getting ready at 2:30pm because Tess enjoys the whole
getting ready business. Were as I don’t !
After 2 hours of getting my sister ready it was my turn to do myself, being done within 45 minutes meant that
we were able to have our annual going out photoshoot. Something that must happen before Tess steps out of
the front door every time we go out. Having to be at the party at 7:45pm or we couldn't get in meant that we
all planned to meet at 7:15pm. That was never going to happen, so when 7:40pm loomed on the clock and my
friends still never turned up meant that Tess was frantic because she wanted to get in. However we did get
there on time. Just. As we walked in we were then silenced to watch an award giving ceremony for everyone
who works at the club. Obviously my team never won an award because we are the least liked bar at the club.
But this never got out hopes down, we still enjoyed our night, seeing people I haven't spoke to in years,
dancing to every 90’s club song that was ever created and discovering that I was rather good at casino
roulette. Samba dancers were also there meaning that I thought that I was also a samba dancer, embarrassing
every person who was within my presence. Standing in heels for over 6 hours also meant that I was ready to
go home. After having a few drinks meant that I became the most loving person in the room, so when leaving
if I had a person in front of me they were going to get a hug weather I knew them or not. Whilst walking
home the heels were off and the socks were on, however our Tess was to stubborn to take her heels off
because she likes to say that ‘I’ve kept my heel’s on all night’ this meant that I had to guide her all the way
home by holding her hand and walking at 3 MPH, this also meant my feet were freezing and stones were in
my socks. But overall I enjoyed my night and cant wait to go back out again.

Waking up to sad news about my favourite city in the world London, encouraged me to think that anything
can happen to anyone. This was also the day of the One Love Manchester concert held in memory for the 22
people who died at the Ariana Grande concert on May 22nd 2017. Tess was going to the memorial concert
and as per usual she was excited, we all tried telling her about the dangers that may occur whilst at the
concert but as per usual Tess saw the happiness in going the concert and the advice we gave her flew right
over her head. After persuading me to do her makeup again, 2 hours later she was ready to enjoy a night of
music and remembrance. The concert was also shown on the TV meaning that me, my mum and dad were
also able to enjoy the concert and talk about the problems that shouldn't occur in our world today. The
concert was fantastic and emotional thing to witness, bringing a lump to my throat every time someone sang
a song or talked about the troubles that occur in our world today. Katy perry and Coldplay were two of the
artists that made me realise how much our world needs to change, their inspirational songs and their
presence on the the stage made me think about how much I should appreciate everything that comes my way
and even something bad can always lead to something good even if its the most horrendous thing that could
occur. Even though it was an emotional and reflective night the concert was one of the best I have ever saw.
The line up was phenomenal with people who I love and inspire me to be a better and stronger person. One
person that did surprise me during the night was the presence of Liam Gallagher. One part of the band
Oasis. When he appeared on the stage my heart dropped, knowing that my sister has seen the likes of
Coldplay and Miley Cyrus at the concert made me feel joyous as she has always wanted to see her idols live,
but knowing the fact that she saw a part of Oasis shocked me, one because she probably didn't know who
Oasis was and two because I will probably never get the change to see them live ever. However, I was still
happy at the fact that I was able to still witness this great singer on stage for a great cause. Once the concert
was finished I sat for a moment to think about what I had just watched, even though it was for a good cause
and all of the proceedings were going to the families it also made me think that the concert shouldn't of
happened because everyone should of walked away from the Ariana Grande concert alive and knowing that
they had the best night of their lives. The next day Tess published an image on Instagram a social media app
and summed up the whole evening in a small paragraph.
‘What an amazing and thoughtful night, filled with unity, peace and love, to pay tribute and celebrate the
lives of those who suffered from the attack at Manchester arena on the 22/05/17. Yesterday hit me with the
reality that coulee of happened to anyone and that I should be more appreciative for everything and
everyone I have in my life - Be grateful for the small things, big things and everything in-between.’

We walk up Moel Famau mountain in Wales every year, and today was the day we were going to concur it
again, even though it was raining. I would of rather have done it in the sunshine but nothing would of
stopped us from getting to the top. The walk is one of the highest within the Clwydian Range, reaching a
height of 1,821 FT. As per usual we like to time our selves walking up the mountain ,when we first started
walking up the mountain we were able to do it in about 2 hours just to get to the top and every year since
then our time gets shorter and shorter and today we had our best time of 45 minutes. Only taking us 2 hours
to complete the walk there and back.
Normally when walking up the mountain you are able to see a small brick building that sit’s at the top,
however today was different. A thick cloud masked the building making it hard to see how far we had left to
walk. As we got closer and closer to the building we were able to see it more clearly but the wind and the rain
at the top of the mountain made it hard to sit at the top and enjoy the view over the welsh countryside. After
sitting at the top for 2 minutes we decided to walk back down before we got blew off the top. The 45 minute
walk back down was just as bad as the walk up. The rain hitting us in the face and the wind blowing us side
ways making it hard to walk down without falling over. Luckily I never fell.
After the walk we decided to treat ourselves to our favourite fish and chips in Park gate and Neston. It is a
small town with only a few shops but it has the best chippy ever. Fish and chips was obviously going to be
what I was having for my dinner/tea because that is my favourite to get when we visit. Another treat that we
had on our day out was a great British scone, with clotted cream and jam a perfect way to end the tiring day.
When the day was nearly over my sister was planning on going to a friends house party, to celebrate her
birthday and as per usual she again asked me to do her make up, in her favourite make up colour of brown.
We also concurred this makeup look in 30 minutes beating the other day were it took 2 and a half hours. As
always she said that this was her new favourite make up look, she says this every time I do her make up.
When she left I finally had time to sit down by myself and relax.
As I am a big Marvel fan I have started to watch the Dare Devil series on Netflix. I am enjoying watching the
series however I chose the wrong time to start a new series as every other series that I have watched has
brought out new episodes meaning that I wont be leaving the house for a while until I am caught up with
everything that Ive seen.

Seeing our Georgia for the first time since Christmas was weird as she looked completely different than what
she did 6 months ago. We planned an afternoon of food, golf and drinks. I first started my day with watching
the new series of Orange is the New Black which is funnier than ever and then I visited my nan as I never saw
her over the weekend. Then I met our Georgia ,we first started with our tea were we went to Mowgli’s which
is an Indian street for restaurant. The food was the best I had from there and enjoyed catching up with our
Georgia over a curry and cake.
We then made our way to the Baltic triangle were we played a game of golf at Ghetto Golf situated under
Cain’s brewery. After having 2 cocktails that game begun. The courses were very different compared to the
average crazy golf as everything was either neon coloured or dark and covered in blood. The game took us
45 minutes and after playing a poor course we finally added up all of the games to see who won. Winning by 1
point I couldn't believe that I won as I played nearly 12 shots per hole, so I was amazed that I actually won.
We then tracked up to Seel street were we had 2 chocolate cocktails. They were more like milkshakes with
alcohol in them but I wasn't complaining as it was a combination of the two things I like the most. The
chocolate that was in them was Reece’s cups which I never had before but I really liked and my favourite
chocolate ever Bueno. I also decided that I would like to do a course in cocktail making because I think that I
would enjoy making my favourite cocktails in my own time, even though I know I wont be good at it. After
that we then made our way home. I loved seeing our Georgia she's like my best mate but as a cousin and I
cant wait to see her again.

J U N E 14th 2 0 1 7
For my friends birthday in March I bought her tickets to go and see Wonderland in the Empire theatre. As I
haven't seen her for a while I was looking forward to a catch up and see what she has been up to in the last
couple of months. Before I went out I went to see my nan, for the whole time that I was there we watched the
saddening reports about the Grenfell tower fire. After a couple of hours Emily was finally home from work
meaning that we were ready to go out. Getting a taxi to the bombed out church we went to a restaurant we
both love the Tokyo. It’s like a chippy but nicer, selling chippy size meals for chippy prices. After there we
did plan to go out for cocktails but Emily stupidly enough forgot to bring her ID so we looked around town
for a while before we decided to go and get a milkshake from Shake-away by St John’s. Having never been
there before I didn't know what to expect. But it was exactly the same as the shop that is in Liverpool One.
When we went in we were greeted by a wall of chocolate, this meant that this was going to be a hard decision
to make as I liked nearly ever chocolate that was on the wall. In the end I settled for a Bueno Milkshake, It
was like I was eating one.
After buying the drinks we then strolled up to the Empire theatre where we was going to see the show. I had
no idea what to expect when seeing the show because I have never heard about it before and no one seemed
to know that it was on. When we went in we were shown to the seats what was on the ticket and only a few
people were in the theatre at the time. As it got closer to the start of the show the theatre was still empty with
only a few people sitting around us. When it reached the time it was still empty so we were asked to move
into the middle of the auditorium because no one was there. The show started with a song and through out
the whole of the show everything what happened was followed by a song. I hate musicals. Not knowing it was
a musical meant that I was going to endure 2 hours of pointless singing. The show was based around Alice in
Wonderland, however it had a twist. I think the twist was to confuse the entire audience because I left the
show not even knowing what went on for 2 hours. Every song that they sang was pointless, like if they had a
sentence to say they were gonna sing it, there was hardly any talking in the show. However, this wasn't a
present for me and my friend Emily absolutely loved it . I don't understand what she loved about it but she
loved it.
In the taxi home we both laugh about how much I didn’t understand the show and how many songs that they
sang because they sang a lot, like more than the average musical. But as long as Emily liked and enjoyed it I
was happy because it was her birthday present from me to her.

J U N E 17th and 18th 2 0 1 7
The hottest weekend that Britain has encountered this year was sweaty and sticky. On the 17th we had a
lovely chilled day for a Saturday we started the day by deciding were to go many options were talked about
and Wales was the main place were we were thinking on going, but as it is a hour and a half journey and it
was quite late on we didn't end up going. Instead we went to an Indian and then to Ikea to buy candles. As I
have passed my driving test and still haven't got a car we decided to drop in to Motorpoint were we looked at
a variation of cars, I found the perfect car a small, simple ,black car that can hold everything that I need and
doesn't need a lot of maintenance. Sadly I couldn't buy the car as I am unable to aford the insurance that is
needed when buying a car. Im being quoted nearly £3000 pounds for insurance, and by time I pay for
everything else i’d have the car but I wouldn't be able to do anything with it. But with my heart set on the car
I'm determined to buy it. After looking at the cars we made our way home to get my mum and dad’s bikes as
we planned to walk along the Docks as the weather was stunning. Me and Tess walked from Otterspool to
the Echo arena whilst my mum and dad cycled on their fold up bikes. We then made our way up to Liverpool
collage were there was a gelato ice cream place. I had an strawberry ice cream Sunday as I was so hot from
walking along the Dock.
Fathers day had the same beautiful weather as Saturday. Hot and sweaty. After my dad opened his presents
me and my mum cooked him a full breakfast and surprisingly it didn't end up in an argument which it
normally would of. After that me and Tess started to get changed as we were going to walk along New
Brighton front. The weather was so hot we decided to go to Aldi to buy the best Ice lollies ever. Sitting in
the car with all of the windows down and the music really loud made me fell as if we were on holiday or
something. My mum and dad went on their bikes as me and Tess walked, however we didn't apply sunscreen
which I regret not doing because I'm burnt to crisp, were as Tess is still as white as a milk bottle. A couple of
hours later we then went to see my Nana and Grandad’s because my dad had to give him his fathers day
present to. It was nice to see them as I haven't seen them since March because of how busy i’ve been. After
having a little catch up me and Tess decided to have our daily walk around Stanley park because the weather
was still amazing. We had a nice little stroll and sat down for a bit soaking up the sun. But as I’ve said I do
wish I put sunscreen on as I'm now a different shade of red compared to what I was after walking along New
Brighton a couple of hours earlier.

J U N E 23rd 2 0 1 7
After a very chilled week my auntie Sarah had all of my cousins around to her house for a taste of Thai food.
She done this because my cousin Tom and his girlfriend are going to Thailand for 3 weeks and have never
tried the food before, were as me and Tess absolutely love the stuff. My auntie Sarah ran home from work to
specially make the dishes that we had and it was well worth it as they were all so nice. She made Pad Thai,
Katsu curry with rice, Nasigren and spring rolls. My favourite was the curry as it wasn't like any curry that I
had before even though I have tried a variety of Thai curries, so obviously me and Tom finished the bowl of it
because it was so nice.
After that we then all sat round the table talking about our days and what Tom and his girlfriend will be doing
when they go away. Soon after auntie Sarah’s friend Di turned up for some drinks and a chat. As we were
sitting there our Tom had left for a short while to go and get his old prom clothes that he wore for his 6th
form leavers party. As our Charlie is about 6Ft and 11 years old our Tom’s clothes are able to fit him so he
was going to borrow his clothes for his year 6 leavers prom. The two went up stairs to try on the suit, which
took forever considering the fact that their boys, but whilst they were doing that we all sat and chatted a little
bit longer. Then the big reveal came as our Charlie walked through the door all 7 of us stood in a huddle with
our eyes shut waiting for him to tell us to open his eyes. Then when he walked in we all opened his eyes in
shook as he looked like a little version of our Tom. He was wearing a waist coat with a shirt and tie, a blazer
super skinny jeans and shoes. Tom, ruby and his girlfriend loved him wearing the blazer but the rest of us
didn't as we felt he looked like a triangle as the blazer looked to big on him but everything was nice.
However when our Tom wore it for his prom I didn't like what he wore then because I didn't like the style
that he went for but I felt that when our Charlie wore it he looked older and suited it more without the
blazer. After that Ruby, Tom and his girlfriend shortly left as they were just sitting there on their phones
whilst me Tess, Daisy, auntie Sarah and Di were all talking in the kitchen. Them sitting on their phones
upset my auntie Sarah a little bit so me and Tess decided to stay for a little while longer.
2 Hours after they left we soon left. This was because we were all dancing in the kitchen we had a variety of
songs on from Kanye West to Destiny Childs dancing and singing to all of their classics, we were a different
colour by the end of it because we were so hot. Auntie Sarah was obviously the best dancer because she's off
her head. I had a really nice evening with them as I don't see them as often as I do with everyone else and the
food was nice to.

J U N E 24th 2 0 1 7
A very late start to the day meant that we only had a couple of minutes to get ready and go. For fathers day me
and Tess got my dad the present for him to go on The Beatles tour in Liverpool. He has always wanted to do
the tour as it is one of the things in the city he has never done even though he has lived here all of his life. He
has some interest in the band but he loves learning new things and knowing information about everything so
it was the perfect present to give him. Me and Tess dropped my mum and dad off at the museum tour and
had a stroll around the Albert Dock as their was an Naval event going on, so their was water activities going
on and food and stuff. After having a little stroll around we then headed our way into town.
We started in Zara were there was a sale on so all of the clothes were all over the place. I bought a winter coat
that I wanted for ages so I was happy were as Tess has spent all of her money and couldn't buy anything so
she wasn't as happy as I was. We then headed our way up to Pull and bear were Tess was determined to buy
these sandals that she found online, they weren't there so her mood never got any better. We then strolled
around town and popped in and out of shops looking at stuff that Tess want able to buy because she had next
to no money. As we had to leave the house quite quickly Tess never got the chance to eat anything so she felt
very light headed, as we were walking up by Costa she decided to go and get 2 sausage rolls even though we
were going to go out for something to eat in a couple of minutes time. As she eat her sausage rolls we sat in
Chavase park and soaked up the sun as we waited for the phone call off mum and dad to say that they are
ready to have their dinner/tea. Couple of minutes after we sat down we got he call to meet them in Mowgli
which I was very vey happy about.
As we were walking to Mowgli we saw Emily’s mum, we stood and chatted about her getting a full time job
and stuff and then carried on walking to Mowgli. Were we ordered tones of curry. We all got a Tiffin box
each which is my favourite as we were all given a variety of curries that we never had before. There was a
mixture of vegetarian and meat curries that were all nice, making it hard to say which one was my favourite.
We all shared the curries that were brought to the table as each tiffin set had a variety of different curries
which were amazing. I felt a lot of pressure whilst every one was eating the curries as I went a couple of
months before and had a tiffin and I haven't stopped going on about it since, so when recommending it
everyone was like this best had be nice. So when we finished and everyone said it was one of the best meals
they ever had I felt relieved as I had raved on about it so much, and when some one likes something you like
you always feel happy. As we were sitting their my mum turned to me and Tess and said that for my dads
birthday she is going to get the chocolate fountain out and do it for his birthday. Well that wait would of
been to long so we decided to have it on the same day. We decided that we were going to have strawberries,
bananas, honeycomb, marshmallows and brownies. After going and collecting our supplies we headed
home.
As Emily had got her job I forgot to post her card so me and Tess walked to her house to post the card and
then have a little stroll around the park. But because we were so tired we got half way around our usual route
and decided to turn back as we walked all day and haven't had a moment to sit down all day. As soon as we
got in we never stopped talking about the chocolate fountain so my mum gave in and she started to prepare

everything for us to eat with it. Tess prepared the chocolate and I sat at the table waiting with my dad to have
the chocolate fountain. As soon as all of the chocolate was poured into the fountain we were all diving in to
eat it. My favourite was the marshmallows and bananas as they were soft and nice to eat with the chocolate. I
especially enjoyed the strawberries because their so sweet and fruity with the chocolate. We all too got fed
up of eating the fountain so we decided to stop and pour the rest of the chocolate onto a tray so it could set
into a bar in the fridge.
After we all cleaned up and had showers I relaxed in my bed until my dad called me into his room to tell me
that Antman one of my favourite marvel films was on Netflix so I planned to watch it on Sunday so I could
fully enjoy the film I love the most.
As I went into the fridge on Sunday morning I looked at the chocolate blob that was on the tray and it was
solid lump on the tray which was really weird because I would of thought it would of took longer for all of
that chocolate to set. You could probably hurt someone with it because its so heavy to lift up.

J U N E 29th 2 0 1 7
London is one of my favourite places in the world. I love everything about it and knowing that I was going
again made me really happy. Going for a long weekend meant that me my mum, dad and Tess had to cram in
a lot to do everything that we wanted to do. Getting the train at 10:48AM meant that it was another early
start. Getting a taxi to the station made me more excited to go to London and visit all of that places that I
love. The train was a 2 hour long journey from Liverpool and obviously I forgot to bring something to
occupy myself during that time so I feel asleep and looked out the window for the majority of the journey,
which surprisingly went quick. Getting off at Euston station excited me further as we were soon to go onto
the underground. Every time I use it it seems to amaze me how it works and how it had the space to build all
of the stations. Getting on the Victoria line took us half way to were we normally stay when we visit London,
in Darlston . We then got onto the overground from Highbury and Islington to take us to the Darlsoton
Kingsland station which dropped us off right outside were we stayed.
We have stayed in Darlston many times and we have never looked around the town. So once we got into our
room and dropped our things off we decided to look around somewhere were we have been loads but not
seen. As we were walking around we came across a dessert place similar to Kaspars in Liverpool, so we had
to go in . Me and Tess had a Oreo waffle whilst my mum and dad had something with fruit. It was gorgeous.
soon after that we continued to look around Darlston and discovering things there that you wouldn't think
would be there. We then soon decided to get back on the overground and head to one of my favourite
markets in London Borough Market.
The market is a huge food market with many varieties of food and drink on offer. Its amazing how many stalls
can be held in such a small place and how many people can be in one place at the same time. As we were
there I had a pineapple and orange juice whilst Tess had a lemonade, which was one of the tastiest things
I've ever had. The market is full of many wonderful and amazing things with food from all around the world.
I would of loved to of tried all of it but we ate on the train and had the biggest waffle known to man. Soon
after we strolled around the market we decided that we were going to walk along South bank front.
Walking along the front allowed for us to see all of Londons landmarks like the Shard, Gerkin, palace of
Westminster and many of Londons bridges. The weather was better than what it was in the morning making
the walk even more enjoyable. As we was walking me and Tess were messing and laughing at random things
and playing stupid games as we normally would. As we were walking along the front we all of a sudden came
across the This morning TV studio, it was later on in the day so they wouldn't of been live but we did try and
see through the windows, however they were tinted making it hard to see the studio. We also got to see the
ITV studio tower, which was really good as we were trying to look for some of the studios through the
windows but because it was so high up that was hard to do. But now that we've seen it we can say that we've
been there every time its on the telly. We also got to see other parts of London that you wouldn't expect to
be along the front like many bars and restaurants and also street performers. There was many singers and
musicians along the front however the two that stood out to us was a man who was just dancing and singing

andom songs and failed at every trick that he tried to execute and a man who had his face painted like a dog,
wearing a dog costume and sitting in a dog kennel. It was one of the scariest things that I have ever seen but
Tess and my mum thought that it was the funniest thing ever, getting pictures with it and standing there just
looking at it.
After laughing at the weird dog man for about half an hour we continued to walk along the bank and
stopping to have a few drinks on the way before seeing Westminster palace in the distance. The amount of
people taking pictures of the skyline was unbelievable, they would just stop right in front of you making it
really frustrating to walk along the front. However the palace is such a pretty and extravagant building.
Walking along the bridge before we reached Westminster me and Tess were being all touristy taking
random pictures of us out side of the tower and posing stupidly and stuff, taking us nearly 40 minutes just to
get across the bridge. The closer and closer we got to it the palace the sillier the photos we were taking ,it
was like we were on a model shoot. As we passed the tower we stopped taking pictures and just enjoyed
looking around. As we crossed the road to a small patch of grass there were a large amount of camera crews.
This was the speck were the news broadcasts every night when they are reporting about the politics that
happen through the day. We sat down for a few minutes and admired our surroundings, taking a further 100
pictures to add to our collection. As we were heading back to the station we saw some people still filming so
of course we had to walk in the back of the shot to say that we were on telly. But as we were doing that we
heard the fella taking and sadly to hear he was Irish and not a BBC presenter so we weren't on British
television. However we would of been on Irish television so its not that bad. We then decided to make our
way back to were we was staying to have our tea.
3 trains later and we were back to were we started in Darlston. As we were so hungry we decided to have
pizza. We all shared garlic bread and hummus, one of my favourite foods ever and then me and Tess decided
to share an American hot pizza, which was amazing. As Tess doesn't like chillies or tomatoes on her pizza
she decided to put everything on my side of the pizza making it really spicy which I don't mind . After a long
day we all headed back to the room to get showers, relaxed and prepared for the next day because we were
going to do a lot of walking.

The day we have been waiting nearly a year for has arrived. We started the day by having a breakfast were we
were staying, we were able to have one everyday we stayed so I decided to not eat loads of breakfast food
because I didn't want to go home gaining 100 stone, so I only had a small breakfast filling me up just enough
to last the day. After the breakfast we all got changed and ready to go out for the day.The start of the day was
really dull and cold so I wrapped up a little bit to keep me warm. I shouldn't of done that because I was
sweating for the whole day. We started the day by heading towards Islington where we were going to visit the
New Designers exhibition. Getting on the overground at Highbury and Islington and getting the train all the
way to the Angel station. This allowed for us to be dropped off right outside the Business Design centre. As
me and my dad went in, Tess and my mum looked around the area for a while whilst we looked around the
exhibition.
Walking into the building I didn't expect it to look like what it did from the outside. It was a beautiful open
space filled with peoples design work from all around the world, all under a glass roof. The building was so
ornate and beautiful, however it was very hot as the day progressed and by dressing as if it was autumn I was
sweating and regretting wrapping up warm. walking around the space gave me inspiration for my own work
as I was able to gather ideas from other peoples work that was there. The exhibition allowed for me to see
how I should present my work as this is one thing that I struggled with in my first year. I left the exhibition
with many ideas of my own and how I can improve my work for next year. I really enjoyed looking at what
people have achieved when they were at university and hope that my work becomes as good as there’s when I
finish.
3 hours after entering the exhibition we soon left to meet Tess and mum who were waiting outside of the
exhibition hall, for a hour. As we were all sweaty and hot we decided to make our way back to where we were
staying to get changed, but on the way we came across a small food market outside of St Pancreas station.
Walking around the small market for a little while me and Tess decided to get a cookie each and sit down for
a couple of moments as we were so hot. We then decided to walk through the station were we saw a large
que for a picture outside of platform 9 and three quarters off the film Harry Potter. The amount of people
queuing for a picture was ridiculous as half of the station was taken up by the que.
We then made our way back to get change and go back out to see Phil Collins and Blondie in Hyde park.
Changing quickly we rushed to get to the park so we could see some of the acts before Phil Collins and
Blondie came out. As we got there we was greeted by a small stage and a giant play area for grown ups. We
then made our way around the corner to a larger stage that was decorated with tress to make it blend into the
scenery of the park. The stage was then surrounded by a small set of bars and restaurants that looked like
actual buildings or like a scene in a film. Me and Tess then decided to go and get something to eat and as we
were walking around Coca Cola were giving out free cans so of course we went and got some, which we

drank as we decided what we wanted to eat. As we were hungry but not starving we shared a portion of chips
and had a burger each, eating them on the floor looking at the stage were Mike and the Mechanics were
playing. Soon after we finished eating we decided to look around the site were we again came across another
Coca Cola booth, however this time it was bigger as we were able to get our picture taken in the Photo
Booth that was there. After deciding what we were going to do in the picture we stepped up to the booth.
The picture was taken and printed and as we looked at it I was guttered because I looked so weird on it
however it was still worthy of making the wall in my bedroom. Walking back to were we said we was going to
meet we were able to capture the end of another act.
Time flew and after a few drinks and seeing a few more acts, finally Blondie appeared on stage. She was
amazing and sounded exactly how she does on her CD’s, she sang all of her old songs like heart of glass and
call me, but she also sang some of her new songs that I also loved. The time that she was on went so quickly.
But that meant that Phil Collins was on in a couple of moments.
The weather was still warm and sunny and then all of a sudden he walked on. The whole crowd started
screaming, I couldn't believe it me and Tess were screaming and jumping about everywhere as we were so
excited and as soon as he came on he sat down and stated to sing. He was better than I ever expected. Every
song he sang me and Tess belted our hearts out singing along with him. Everyone around us was amazed
that we knew all of the words because his audience was for an older generation. So because we was singing
everyone else around us was dancing and singing with us. He sang all of his best songs like Sussido and Easy
lover and In the air tonight which were amazing. Sadly as he came to his final song he got up bowed and
walked off stage and then all of the lights went off, suddenly the flood lights beamed on and he came back on
stage to sing one final song. I loved every single moment of the concert and I still cant believe that I have
seen Blondie and Phill Collins even though many people my age may not even know who they are but I
absolutely loved it.
As the night finished thousands of people rushed out of the park to get onto the trains and finding out
Marble Arch station was closed meant that we were going to have to walk a fair way to get to another station
and after standing up for nearly 7 hours with out sitting down I was not looking forward to the walk.
However it wasn't as bad as I thought and we were back at were we was staying with in a couple of minutes.
We all rushed in got showered and went to bed as soon as we went in.
I absolutely loved today and everything about it, Phil Collins and Blondie were the best thing I have ever
witnessed and I wish that I could do it all over again.

A later start to the day and a similar start to yesterday meant that we got out of where we were staying at
about 11 am. We started the day by getting on the overground for only a few stops so we could find the city
bikes. Saturday’s in London is normally market day so we were going to get the bikes and cycle to a market
that was quite close to were we got off the train. Walking through a small park we finally got to the bikes. We
were heading to Broadway market, a small food and vintage market which is very similar to Spitalfield
market. The bike ride was small but very picturesque as we rode along a small river on a cobble road to get to
the market. As we parked the bikes we turned the corner to see the market .We could only see a row of tents
that were all pitched up to hold all of the stock that people were selling. Walking up the street it was very
cramped but I felt that this forced you to look at what people were selling. As we got to the middle of the
block of tents we came across a small vintage clothes stand, were me and Tess came across some heavily
patterned shirt’s, which we bought because they were different to what we would normally wear. There was
many cake and food stands and as per usual I felt that we shouldn't of had breakfast because I wanted to try
and eat everything. On the way up the market we came across a small cake stand were all of the cakes looked
amazing, so we had to buy one. We all decided to share a small smores cake which had marshmallows and
chocolate in it. We waited to eat it until we sat down. As we carried on walking up the street came across a
small park at the top of the street so we decided to sit there and eat the cake, which was amazing because the
taste of it reminded me of Christmas, which I love. After eating the cake we started making our way back
down the market looking at more food that I wanted to eat. As we reached the end of the market we decided
to make our way back to the train. The market was only small but I really liked seeing a different type of
market in London as it was very different to markets such as Borough or Portobello market. Making our way
back the same way we came we made our way back to the train to go to Portobello market and to pay our
respects to the Grenfell tower victims.
A few stops later we ended up at Portobello market. Having been here before we knew what to expect. But
because it was on a Saturday all of the market stalls were there this time and many more people were also
there. So compared to last time it was not what we were expecting. The market is along a very long and
narrow road and with many people there it was very cramped. The market was longer than what it was last
time so it felt like we were walking for hours and every time we thought we got to the end we never because it
just kept on going on. On the way around we did try a few things and bought some strawberries which were
the best because there in season, meaning that they are at their best.
As we was walking up through the market we were able to capture glimpses of Grenfell tower which was
shocking, walking up towards it after looking around the market hit me how horrible and horrific it must of
been to witness and been in he disaster.Walking around the area there was many flowers and missing
posters scattered around the streets, this made my tummy turn a bit as it made me think about the extent that
the disaster has effected so many peoples lives. We carried on walking up to the tower when we came across

a church that was surrounded by thousands of flowers and notes paying respect towards the families and
victims. Seeing this in the flesh was worse than seeing it on the TV as the TV only shows what they want you
to see, what they don't show is how much this has changed peoples lives and how many people have came
together to help each other out.
After paying our respects we started to make our way back up to the train, we all walked in silence to think
about and take in everything that we just seen. Getting on the train we decided to make our way up to
Wimbledon as we have never seen it before. A few trains later we were there, a short walk up a hill and we
was greeted by a huge stadium like building decorated with purple, white and green flowers, the colours of
Wimbledon. As we were looking there was a board with all of the prices and the most expensive ticket that
you were able to buy was nearly £200, which was ridiculous. But as we never had a ticket and we went on the
day before Wimbledon started, we was only able to look in the gift shop and take a few pictures of the main
court. As always when we go away we had to buy my nan a fridge magnet. We bought one with the
Wimbledon logo on it and it was shaped as a strawberry, very fitting for summer. After looking around the
shop and taking a few picture’s we decided to make our way back to Darlston to have our tea as it was quite
late on in the day and we never ate since breakfast so we were all starving.
Getting back to Darlston we were all craving burgers and when we looked around there the other day we
came across a small burger place called honest. When we walked in we got he menu and decided to order
nearly everything off the menu, because we were all so hungry. As always I had a chicken burger as chicken
burgers are my favourite. We all shared onion rings and chicken wings and had a few drinks and then we
decided to go back to were we was staying.
After showering and relaxing for a bit we all watched one of my favourite films, Avengers assemble. A great
end to a great day.

You always hate going home when your in a place that you love and today we were all sad to go home, but
thankfully we were able to spend the whole day in London before we got the train back home. Starting the
day earlier than the rest we packed had our breakfast and headed straight out. We started the day by heading
to Spitalfield market, another favourite market of mine in London. It is very similar to Broadway market,
however this one is bigger and undercover. The weather was so nice that day, but not bringing suitable
clothes to fit the weather I was stuck wearing all black so I was sweating for the majority of the day. As we
were walking around the market we soon came across a store called Anthropology, its like a home decor
store that I have always wanted to visit because I've seen it advertised so many times on the internet.
However it was shut until later on in the day so we decided to look around the area a little bit more. As we
were waiting we decided to go to another market which was only a couple of yards away called Bricklane.
This market is mostly a vintage and retro market with some food stalls mixed in with it.We have been to this
market before but at a quitter time, all of these markets seem better when its all open and there is thousands
of people there.
The market was similar to Portobello in size as it just seemed to keep of going and going. After having a little
look around some of the stalls we then decided to have a look in Anthropology. It was such a nice little shop
full of little bits for the house. Everything was beautifully decorated and really cute, I wanted to buy
everything but I wouldn't of had anywhere to put it. Soon after we decided to then go and cycle around Hyde
park and ride along the mall to finish our time in London. This is something that we have done before but
what happened we never expected it to happen.
As we wanted to use the city bikes we decided to walk through Hyde park to get them. It was such a nice walk
through the park allowing us to just chat and talk about everything that we have done over the weekend and
mess and sing. Then we soon came across a bike station. After collecting the bike’s we had a relaxing cycle
through the park the weather was amazing as the sun was beaming and everyone was out enjoying the
weather. Riding around the park was amazing and I loved everything about it. Stopping at Marble arch to
avoid cycling on the roads we were soon back on the bikes again heading towards the Mall and Buckingham
palace. As we was riding up the sky was blue with no clouds and there was a slight break in the trees were we
were able to see Westminster palace. It was amazing.
We then carried around the path to then be faced with a road with no cars. This was the best thing ever as we
were able to ride along the mall in the middle of the road. Allowing for us to get pictures and ride along at
our leisure. It was the best experience that I have ever had as I never expected it to happen and it was lucky
that we turned up on that day and have the opportunity to ride along the mall in the middle of the road.

After having that great opportunity it was time to head back and gather our things from the place that we
were staying and head to Euston station. Getting 10 trains to get there and back to Euston tired us all out so
as always every time we go to London we have Nando’s, so for tradition we had to go.
We were in Nando’s for about 2 hours, we all ate really slow because we were all so tired, we also hardly
talked to each other because we were that tired. Finishing our tea we made our way to the boards were we
waited to get the platform number for were we had to get the train.Due to us not having reserved seats me
and Tess legged it to the train to try and get seats with a table and when your tired and your legs are hurting
it was difficult to try and get there quick enough before everyone rushes to get a seat but luckily we managed
to get one.
On the train I just looked out of the window for the whole 2 hour journey as I had nothing to do, were as
everyone else fell asleep around me. However the time flew and before we knew it we were off the train and
in a taxi home. When we got home I sorted all of my stuff out and settled back home. I then got a shower and
relaxed in my bed.
I am so sad to be home but I had such a good time in London. It is one of my favourite places in the world
and I cant wait to go back again. I wish I was still there now but there is more to look forward to in the next
couple of weeks. I cant believe how much we managed to fit into such as small amount of time, but thats what
we normally do when we go away for a short amount of time. I love London so much and hope that I go back
in the next couple of months.

For Christmas my dad got me, Tess and my mum tickets to go the British style collective. It was the first year
that it was going to be held in Liverpool and some of the venues that the events were held in were St Georges
hall, the Echo arena and the new exhibition centre on the docks. Starting the day at 10am we headed to St
Georges hall were we went to go and see a few talks and catwalks about hair ,make up and clothes. The
catwalks were amazing and seeing clothes from designers such as Philip Armstrong has inspired me to
experiment with different types of fabrics and designs when drawing ideas. The talks were also very
informative feeding me information on subjects such as what colour would suit you best when dying your
hair and what makes you feel good when dressing. I enjoyed these the most .
We then made our way through town to get to the exhibition centre visiting Primark a shop that I absolutely
hate but end up spending half of my time in there and Zara which I don't mind going to on the way. The
exhibition centre also had many talks on what I also liked and contained many stalls which had make up and
clothes. We were there for over 3 hours and when we first walked in we thought we wouldn't of even been
there for half of that. There was more makeup stalls than clothes stalls but I felt that there should of been
more clothes stalls because it was a clothes show. After there we then made it over to our final destination of
the Echo arena were they held a huge catwalk. This was amazing some of the clothes that were shown were
amazing and each outfit that was created related to a theme that was within the show. This was amazing to
watch and was another good part of the collective. It was like seeing a huge designer fashion show as they
had live music and dancers and a amazing venue. I would like to do something like this in the future as it was
an amazing experience to see because I didn't expect something like that to be done for clothes. It was a
surreal experience.
To finish the day we met my dad to go and have a Tokyo, one of our favourite places to eat, We ate nearly
everything because we never ate all day, so we ordered nearly half to the menu to share between the 4 of us.
We were all so full after eating there we all just wanted to go home and sleep. I really enjoyed my day and
cannot wait to see what they have in stall for next year.

For over 20 years, 2 generations of children have gone to the same primary school and we have sadly came to
the end of this because the last of the children on my mum’s side of the family are leaving and going to
secondary school. To celebrate, their school was holding a prom. A couple of days before prom started I was
asked to do our Daisies makeup, which shocked me because I wouldn't of ever thought that I would of ever
been asked to do her make up. A couple of days after this I then practiced how I could do her make up giving
me an idea of what she wants and how the make up will look on her face. This went terribly wrong as the
make up was to dark for her fair skin but we all learn from our mistakes. To officially start the prom process I
took our Daisy to the hairdressers, to get her hair washed and put up in pin curls. We then walked back to
my nan’s to discuss what was going to happen on the 12th.
During Thursday morning I decided to do my own make up to see what I could do and because I was bored
waiting for daisy to leave school. As 12:30pm came around my auntie Sarah decided to bring some chips in
to prepare our selves for the day ahead. Being told that Daisy was going the hairdresser at 2:30pm I had time
to finish her makeup before she had to go. I started by doing her eyes because these take me the longest. So
as 2pm comes closer and closer daisy suddenly realises that the hairdresser was at 2pm so I had to rush just
to get the eyes finished before she went. However I was able to carry on after she went the hairdresser’s. Up
to now I was happy with what her make up looked like compared to the other day. It was like a slightly
bronzed eye with pink glitter on the lid. We all the rushed to the hairdressers were Daisy was still unsure
what she wanted her hair to look like. But when she talked to Chris and shown her some pictures of what she
would of liked her hair to be like Chris just took inspiration from all of the images and made her hair look
amazing. Daisy’s hair colour is amazing anyway but when it was done up it looked even better.
Once that was done we all rushed back to mine for me to finish her makeup. 30 minutes later I was done and
her makeup looked really good. I was happy with what I done and her mum absolutely loved it. We then all
rushed to get Charlie from school and his friend Isaac so they could all get ready to go to their prom. Isaac
was the cutest child I've ever seen in my life and compared to our Charlie who is nearly 6ft tall Isaac was tiny.
As soon as they all got changed they were in the garden getting pictures taken and the lighting was amazing
allowing for us to get amazing pictures of the kids. A while later loads of their mates started to turn up as
they were all going to go to their prom in a limo. 1000 pictures later the limo turned up and all of the kids
were so happy and excited to go to their prom. After seeing them off my auntie Sarah and I were relieved it
was over but it was fun to do prom all over again.
And obviously Charlie and Daisy looked the best out of all of their mates.

J U L Y 13th 2 0 1 7
Following the kids prom I was invited to see them graduate from them achieving nearly 300 hours of after
school work. Me and my nan left hers at about midday to get a seat in the Isla Gladstone were the graduation
was going to be held. I love talking to my nan, we always seem talk about anything and there is never a
moment were we never have anything to talk about. As we made our way to the venue we talked about how
her day has been and what she had been up to. As we got to the venue we saw that no one was in there so
after finding out that the graduation starts in 2 hours we decided to sit down stairs and have a cup of tea and
some chips.
We continued to talk about everything and anything and before we knew it, it was nearly time to sit upstairs
and see the kids graduate. As we walked into the large conservatory space the sun started to appear making
the glass house heat up really quickly. This made me really hot as I dressed for the morning weather which
was quite cold and grey, I instantly started to regret dressing in tights and a jumper. A couple of minutes
later after sitting down all of the kids started to enter the venue to collect their cloak and hat, dressing as if
the were in a proper graduation. They also got a picture taken wearing the outfit which I thought was really
cute. The graduation soon started with both twins getting a diploma for completing 300 hours of after
school activities, which I was amazed at because I couldn't believe that they stayed in after school for that
many hours. I was really proud. As soon as it started it seem to finish it went that quick. We all planned to go
down stairs to celebrate them graduating and then make our way home but then we soon found out that the
kids were getting their reports and SATS results given to them. So that plan went out of the window . Me and
my nan then decided to make our way back home and wait for the kids to come back home from school.
By time we got back to my nan’s the kids came in from school without their reports as the teachers weren't
allowed to give them to the kids without a adult being present, me and my nan thought that was hysterical
because we made them go back to school to collect them. However, Dai Auntie Sarah’s friend dropped them
off from school so we were all excited to see what they got. We had to wait for their mum to come in from
work but as she came in she opened them instantly and started to read out their results. I was so proud of
them as they got above average in all of the tests that they sat. After chatting and congratulating the kids I
then made my way home to have tea and catch up with our Tess as she went to Blackpool for the day because
it was her last day of her first year in sixth form, which I couldn't believe because it has gone so fast.

J U L Y 15th 2 0 1 7
On Tuesday my dad turned 51 I couldn't believe how quick it has been since his 50th because it feels like we
only celebrated it yesterday. But because his birthday was through the week and people would of been
coming to ours to see him me and my mum planned to take him out on Saturday to celebrate. We started our
Saturday by getting up a little later than usual as it was quite a busy week for all of us. A while after getting up
we decided to go to Greatie market, as we needed to pick up some toiletries for when we go on holiday next
week.
So after planning what we were going to do for the day we all got ready and made our way out. We haven't
been to the market in ages and there was a reason for that because it’s not as good as what it used to be. It
also stunk whilst walking around so me and Tess breezed through the market to get away from the smell as
quickly as possible. After being in the market for a short while we decided to pop into the new Sainsbury's to
see what it was like and I don't think we’d be going again. We also picked up a few bits from the Aldi. As
soon as we got home we started dinner, this was at about 12pm. We had small burger and chips which was
delicious as I had cheese and ketchup on my burger reminding me of when I was a kid camping.
As we were going out for my dads birthday me and Tess decided to do our makeup, but surprisingly our Tess
wanted to do her own with me talking her threw what she should do to get it the way I do it. It was quite good
the way she done it but she said that she still prefers me doing it. A couple of hours later we started to make
our way to town, were we was going to go to Mowgli again. I was not complaining. Before we sat down we
went on a little stroll threw town which was quite nice because it was bright and warm summers evening.
Sitting down and ordering our food we got the same as we did the last time we went, tiffins and Tess got a
curry, however we did also order starters which was amazing. The whole meal was amazing as always when
we go to Mowgli but we wont be going for a while because I don't want to start getting fed up of eating
there. After paying we started to make our way back to the car, working off some of our tea by walking back
thew town. On the way home we also popped back into the Aldi to get some cakes just to finish off our tea
and as always me and Tess requested for the ‘cake we’ve never eaten before’ (inside joke) to be bought
because its our favourite cake ever to eat.
Whilst eating me and Tess were messing about and laughing, but as soon as we finished eating we were so
tired we retired to our rooms. It was nice to celebrate my dads birthday with just us because on his actual
birthday we never really did anything special for him because he was in work and family was around to see
him.

J U L Y 19th and 20th 2 0 1 7
On the 19th of July me, my mum, nan and auntie Sarah all made our way to Anfield road primary school were
we were going to see the last leavers service for a couple of years now. As Charlie and Daisy were leaving to
go to secondary school in September. The service was really good, I didn't understand the majority of it,
however it did make me cry as it reminded me of what it was like when I left school and how much I have
been through and achieved within them years. Everyone was crying all of the kids, adults and teachers were
all sobbing as it was a sad time for everyone as their babies were all growing up and experiencing something
new. Our Charlie looked like he was in agony the way he was crying as he must of cried for a good 30
minutes straight.
After the emotional morning auntie Sarah made her back to work as me, mum and nan all had breakfast
together, we then took the dog on a walk around the park. Walking the dog and then going home and
packing went out of the window as when I got back to my nan’s to give the dog back to her we ended up
chatting for 3 hours about school and everything else. I then left to pack my backs which took me about 10
minutes as the majority of the clothes that I was taking away with me was already ironed and all on hangers,
all I had to do was take them off the hangers and fold them up. As soon as I finished doing that Tess came
home from school and she started to pack her bags, compared to me this took much longer as she wanted to
try on all of her clothes that she was taking and she couldn't decide what she wanted to bring . I still don't
think she is packed now 2 days later. As she was doing this she was telling me about the first aid course she
took part in, she started to demonstrate how to put someone into the recovery position. As I lied on the floor
she said “You do not approach the person from the head” and as she said this she approached me from the
head and kicked me full force, I thought it was quite funny.
Soon after this we had our tea, we planned to go up to my nan’s as she hadn't see her in a while. As we were
talking about going to my nan’s she started coughing and as this happened I pinned her to the floor and put
her in the recovery position as she did with me, she was in hysterics laughing because she couldn't believe
that I did what I did. After messing around we then made our way up to our nan’s. As Daisy and Charlie were
leaving school the next day they wanted to make cakes for their teachers and as my cousin Ruby has her own
baking business so she was going to help with making the cakes. However that day she went on a trip to
Alton towers and was not home yet this was at about 6:30pm. So me and Tess decided to go down and start
to help with making the cakes.
After a quick walk down the road we started baking cakes. Luckily the day before Tess made some cakes so
she knew what she was doing. After making the cakes and putting them in the oven Ruby turned up to help
make some of the decorations for the tops of the cakes. Nothing was going well as the cakes weren't baking

and the icing weren't working, but the cakes did turn out good in the end. After cleaning the mess we made
up we then walked home as it was still bright and a nice evening.
The 20th of July was the official day that the kids were finally leaving the school. Me and Tess got ready in
the morning and at 2pm me, Tess and my nan for the last time walked up to the school to get the kids. We
were up set at the fact that my nan would be picking someone up from that school for the last time. She has
been going to that school for over 20 years as her kids even went to that school when they were younger.
Standing by the school doors and seeing all of the kids walk out crying was upsetting, however the only 2 dry
eyes were Charlie and Daisy, me and Tess had more tears in our eyes than they did and Charlie normally
cries at anything. They both didn’t seem bothered at the fact that they weren't going back to that school ever
again. Walking back to nan’s the kids was telling us about their day and the fact that they didn't cry all day.
As we got to our nan’s Daisy put on the CD that was made of their leavers service and because Tess hadn't
seen it we had to watch it.
As tradition at the end of the school year my nan would take us to the Isla Gladstone for a drink but this time
it was only the 4 of us that went. We made our way down through the park to the glass house. We all had
chips and a drink. We weren't there long but it was nice. We then made our way back and watched the rest
of the kids leavers service.
A hour or two later we then left to go home, after having our tea and seeing our mum and dad we then went
to Ruby’s house to give Ruby and Tom their birthday cards, as Tom wasn't here for his birthday and Ruby’s
birthday is when were away. We chatted to Uncle Vince and Auntie Nick for a while as they were decorating
and we hadn't seen them for a while. We even got to see what the room looked like after they decorated. We
did plan to walk around the park as always but Tess’ friends were out and my dad went to see my nana and
grandad so I decided to go and see them before we went away on holiday.
I chatted to my nana for ages. I don't normally get to have a proper conversation with my nan as theirs
always a lot of people around when were talking or it normally ends up being about either religion or
politics. But this time it was different. We had a nice little chat about what she's been up to and what she's
planning to do over the next couple of weeks. It was really nice to have a proper conversation with her for
once. 3 hours later me and my dad then made our way home, Tess was still not home from being out but I
was so tired I got a shower and then lied in bed for a while before I fell asleep, I was so tired because the past
couple of days were so busy.

J U L Y 23rd 2 0 1 7
Starting our day off at 10 am we started to make our way down to Plymouth, where we were going to catch a
boat to go to North Brittany in France. We first made our way to Bristol were we stopped off for something
to eat. Turtle bay was the first place that we saw and because we were all so hungry we all went in there and
had our dinner. After a really nice dinner we then looked around the place as a small music festival was
taking place. Bristol was a really nice place and reminded me of Carneffon in Wales, which is always good
because I love wales. After strolling around Bristol for a while we then made our way to Plymouth.
It only took us 2 and a half hours to get to Plymouth, which wasn't that bad of a journey. We decided to
stretch our legs a bit by walking along by the front, which was very picturesque as the sky was a bright blue
and the sun was glaring. After a short stroll we all sat at the front and had a drink each which was really
enjoyable as it gave us a bit of time to discuss what we were going to get up to when we got to France and
what the boat journey would be like. I was quite excited for the boat journey as the last time I ever went on a
large boat was when I was younger.
After our little sit down we decided to go to Nando's to have a few snacks before we got onto the boat as we
were sleeping on the boat. We were also staying over on the boat through the night. This was the first time I
ever been to a Nando's and they had next to no chicken, which was quite funny because thats what they
normally sell. But we only went in for a few chicken wings and some hummus so that was okay. We all loved
what we ate especially the hummus which is one of my favourites. After our small Nando's visit we were off
to the boat. We waited in a small que to get our passports and our tickets checked and we drove onto the
boat. The boat was humongous and the amount of cars that were boarding the boat made me think how they
were all going to fit on. However, they did and it wads quite amazing how they did it.
After parking the car we all made our way up to the room that we were staying in. The room was really small
with bunk beds, which reminded me and Tess of when we used to share a room. The room was very cosy with
little space to move but it did us for the night. We decided to have a little look around the boat were we
ended up having a few drinks. We also managed to look around the duty free were me and Tess was smelling
all of the perfumes that were on display. We then made our way back to the room because we could feel the
waves rocking the boat in different directions, making us all feel quite ill.
As soon as we got into the room we all got changed into our pyjamas and lied in bed watching the last of
some film that was being shown, with out even releasing I fell asleep as I was so tired from the day that we
had. However, I was looking forward to our travels around France as we have only ever really been to
Disneyland Paris and some parts of Paris and I have always wanted to see what rural France was like.

J U L Y 24th 2 0 1 7
Waking up to an amazing view on the boat was a weird experience as we had a window that faced the sea.
The sky was a bright blue and the waves were just hovering bellow our window. After lying in bed for a while
a weird noise echoed in our room which was a wake up call from the boat telling us we had a short time to get
up and get ready to leave . After getting changed and packing our things we made our way down to the bar
were we had a drink last night. As we were quite hungry we all shared some bread which was amazing and as
soon as we finished we were then instructed to go to our cars and prepare to leave the boat. As soon as we
were ready we were then told to leave the boat, going through all of the passport and security examinations
we went through when getting on to the boat. But as soon as that was done we were off on the road. This was
the first time my dad has ever driven on this side of the road, making it quite a weird feeling for all of us as we
weren't used to the feeling of the cars coming towards us from the opposite direction.
After a short while we made a short pit stop at a supermarket to pick up some fruit and water as we never
really had any breakfast. After the quick stop we were back on the road again to make our way to the site that
we were staying at. An hour and a half later and we were there. It went rather quick and the journey was
really nice because we got to see all of the small towns that were in North and South Brittany. All of the
towns looked like scenes off a film set as they were all rustic and tall, as if they were on a film. We made our
way through a forest before we got to Le- Ty Nadan were we was staying in a caravan for the week. As we got
there a bit earlier than we were meant to we made our way out to look for something to eat. We made our
way through Quimperlle, a small town situated close to were we was staying to look for a supermarket. As we
found a supermarket we made a wrong turning and made our way onto the motorway which was quite funny
as we didn't know how long it would take us to get back to were we wanted to be. But as soon as we got on
the motor way we were off and back to were we just been, however we made sure that we made the right
turning this time.
As we never really had anything proper to eat we decided to have a Mc Donald's which I haven't had in ages
because I don't like it but this time round it was okay. We then made our way to the supermarket to get the
essentials for our tea and breakfast and then we made our way back up to Quimperlle as we wanted to have a
stroll around before we went back to the site. The town was really small and really pretty. We didn't look
around for long as we wanted to explore more on Tuesday when we had more time. We then made our way
back to the site as we were able to book in.
The site was really nice with pools ,bars and activities going on all around the place. We wanted to get into
the pool but because we were so tired we didn't have a chance to. After booking in we managed to get into
the caravan, which was not what we was expecting as it was just a empty shell with 3 bedroom’s, a kitchen,
bathroom and shower but when we all settled in we started to like the space a little bit more. I also got
changed as I was to hot in what I was wearing. Me and Tess then sat on the loungers that were out side of the
caravan to see weather we could catch some sun, we didn't but it was nice sitting out there reading our
books. A couple of hours flew by and it was tea. We has a small continental tea with butties and meats which
is my favourite type of tea as we have stuff like that in the house when we cant be bothered cooking. After
that we then had a short walk around the site and had a drink at the bar because it was a nice evening. After
that we made our way back to the caravan and all had showers before we settled down to watch Silver linings.
It’s such a good film as it makes you feel good about y0urself. Once the film had finished we all made our
way back to our rooms, I decided to stay up and read my book for a little while as I wasn't as tired as
everyone else but soon after picking up the book I was putting it down to fall asleep as we did have a long
day.

J U L Y 25th 2 0 1 7
Waking up to the beaming sun was amazing, we all got up and had breakfast outside on the balcony because
it was such a nice day. We all had cereal and croissants and prepared ourselves for a busy day. We first made
our way to Quimperlle. We started to look around the town on Monday but we never really got to see it
properly. This time round most of the stores were open and we managed to go up to the old town to see what
was up there. There was a small church and a few patisseries around that area but that was all. The town was
beautiful and peaceful with many of the locals sitting out side coffee shops. After visiting Quimperlle we
made our way to Pont- Aven which was a small town with a river running through the middle of it. It
reminded us of a town in the Cotswolds called Broadway as all of the shops were small and dainty.
As we arrived we came across a small market, however as always we missed out on it as everyone was starting
to pack up. But we did manage to capture a short glimpse of some of the stalls that may have been there.
Walking around the town nearly every store was a Crépere, as we got to the end of the market we came
across another Crépere, which was in a salmon coloured building. After looking at the menu we decided to
go and try some of there crepes and they looked amazing. After ordering 2 lemon and sugar crepes and two
ham and cheese crepes, they were brought out seconds after. They were all rather large but amazing .The
lemon and sugar ones has preserved lemons on top and my mum’s and dad’s crepe’s were square shaped
which was quite strange as we are normally used to seeing them either triangle shaped or just splattered onto
the plate. They were really nice and could be one of the best crepes I've had. After that we then had a short
walk back through the town and back to the car were we was going to head off to another small town down
the road.
Concarneau was another small town however this one had a small castle in the centre of it. As we were
walking around we decided to go into the castle as many people were going in there so we thought that
something may have been going. As we walked in we were greeted by many small shops selling clothes, ice
cream and souvenirs. Of course we all got an ice cream to have as we all walked around in amazement that
this small town was built with in the walls of a castle. We also managed to look at the view around the castle
as there was a small walk way all the way around it. This was also very picturesque as the waves were very
calming with some of the boats bobbing up and down on the water. Not long after looking at the view we
made our way back through the small town with in the castle and got back into the car too make our way to
our final destination. At this point we were all very tired as the sun was getting hotter and hotter through out
the day.
Our final place to visit was a small port called Nevez, it was quite small with many people crabbing and
fishing off the ports edge. Me, mum and Tess and sat on the edge of the wall looking at the view that was in
front of us while my dad went to see what all of the people had caught whilst fishing. It then hit us all how
tired we were and made our way back home stopping at the supermarket before hand to pick up a few things
for tea. As soon as we got in we all had our tea and decided to go to the shower block to get a shower before
we went to get another drink at the bar as we wanted to watch Pirates of the Caribbean to finish the day. But
because it was such a long film and we all wanted to go to sleep , so we didn't manage to finish the film. But
we did have such a good day out and about.

J U L Y 26th 2 0 1 7
Waking up to rain ruined Tess’ day as all she wants is tanned legs. But we still made the most of the day. We
woke up quite late as we were all so tired, we then had breakfast got changed and made our way out. We did
all plan to go the beach but that didn't happen because of the weather, but you make with the circumstances
that you've got and we all decided to go out. We started the day at a small place called Riec-Sur-Belon, it was
a port town that was famous for its oysters. I was quite exciting to try oysters as I have never had any before
and I have always wanted to see what they tasted like. As we turned up the woman who was selling them was
talking to another family about what oysters are the best and what came with them and after also listening to
what she was saying we decided to go with flat oysters. Eating them was a weird sensation but they were
really nice and I was surprised that I liked them. After eating the oysters and enjoying them we decided to
have a little look around the port which was small but very picturesque. Even though we had the oysters we
did feel quite hungry.
So as we were traveling to the next place we were going to visit we stopped in a small town called Moelan-
Sur-Mer were it had a small patisserie which looked very popular so we decided to go in and get something
from there. Surprisingly pizza was a very popular food in South Brittany so we all decided to share a pizza,
some cheese on toast and a custard tart thing. It was really nice and we thought that the pizza was the best.
We then carried on our journey to kerfany, it was a small beach and even though it was raining in the
morning it started to brighten up through the day. As we got onto the beach we realised that we were
looking at the port that we were standing on yesterday looking at the view from a different angle was amazing
and allowed for us to take in the French surroundings from all angles. After an hour or so of standing in the
water and messing around in the sand we made a short journey to another beach called Port-Du Belon, it had
many rocks leading to a abolished building or fort. The rocks had small little puddles in them from the rain
and the sea and with in them were small crabs and sea animals such as fish. As always our Tess stated to poke
and pick up all of the animals whilst I stood there and looked around at the scenery. As soon as we got there
it started to spit and the longer we spent at the place the more rain that fell so we all decided to go back to the
site and relax. As we were walking back our Tess thought it was okay to take one of the crabs with her and as
she got closer to the car we told her to put it back as we didn't have any were to put it and why would we want
to bring a crab home. When Tess came back we got in the car and made our way to the supermarket to buy
some stuff for breakfast and something for tea, as we only really had nibbly bits through the day.
As the day went on m and there was nothing else to do I was able to continue reading the first Harry Potter
book. The time flew and before we knew it we were having tea and discussing what films we should watch
later. Tess decided that we should all watch Son of Rambo, a film that none of us have seen in years. For a
little while my mum, dad and Tess went to the pool as I wanted to read some of my book .They weren't there
long so we all went to get showers afterwards. I then set up the laptop to play the film we all settled down to
watch the film. It was better than what I remembered and really enjoyed watching it. As it was a small film we
all ended up going to bed early but because I wasn't tired I decided to stay up and finish the last few chapters
of Harry Potter. The book was also better than what I remembered and because I was excited to start the
second one I decided to read a few chapters of the second book before I went to bed.

J U L Y 27th 2 0 1 7
A late start to the day, we all got changed and had our breakfast. Nearly everyday were having cereal,
croissants and some juice and that is what we had today. After getting ready we were off to our first
destination which was Hennebont, a small town which had a weekly market. As we entered the town we were
greeted by road works and not being used to driving on the different side of the road was difficult and when
you don't know were your going was difficult also, but when your made to go around a roundabout which
contained three roundabouts in one made it rather difficult to navigate were we were meant to go. However
my dad was able to work out were we had to go and we managed to park the car up safely. As we walked into
the market we saw a small stall selling chickens for a couple of euros each, which me and Tess thought was
quite funny because you would never see something like that at home. After looking at the chickens we then
slowly made our way through the market. It wasn't what we expected really as we were all hoping it was a
food market but it wasn't it was more of a jumble sale market. However we did all enjoy looking at all of the
stuff that people in France like to buy. There was also some food stalls were we bought some food for our
tea. After a couple of hours of looking around the market we decided to go to the city centre called Lorient.
This was the equivalent to town in Liverpool but it wasn't as big and didn't really have many shops in it as
Liverpool did.
As we were walking in to the city we came a cross a sign post telling us how many kilometres the city is way
from other places such as Galway and Vigo, but as we looked we noticed that one of the signs were pointing
to the Wirral. We thought that this was hysterical because of all places to point to and they chose the
Wirral. We turned up to the city centre at about 12pm however in France this was the time were all of the
shops shut for 2 hours to have their siesta’s so we ended up walking around the town looking at all of the
closed shops, there was some shops open such as Zara ,H&M and a few restaurants but that was it really.
Sephora a makeup store was also open and as me and Tess have always wanted to go into a Sephora shop we
decided to go in and have a look at all of the expensive makeup available to buy. After strolling around for an
hour or so we decided that we wanted something to eat. As we were looking around we came across a small
bagel store. We decided to have something there because we were planning on having something big for tea.
Finishing our dinner we made our way back to the site as me and Tess wanted to go to the pool for a couple
of hours before we sat down to have our tea.
As we got back me and Tess went to the shop on the site to buy badminton rackets and shuttle cocks as there
was a court on the grounds. Tess obviously didn't want to play as all she did was mess about and laugh at me
every time I hit the shuttlecock so in the end we did what she wanted to do and went to the pool. We spent
hours running between all of the slides that were there and you could tell that Tess was enjoying it because
all she was doing was running about from one slide to another. Hours went by before we decided to go back
to were we was staying and as we went back tea was nearly ready. After having a few butties with the things
we bought from the market ,we went to the on site entertainment. It was called MEGA karaoke, we thought
that this was hysterical and started taking the Mick out of it because it was rubbish as it was just little kids
singing bad songs. So headed back and decided to get showers and watch another film together. Father of
the bride was the choice of film as we haven't seen it in years, I didn't remember seeing half of it but it was
funny. After the film we all went to bed and as usual I decided to stay up a little longer to continue reading
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

J U L Y 28th 2 0 1 7
Today was the first time all week that we woke up quite early. So we all decided to just go straight out and
make the most of a beautiful day. We did leave at about 11am because we were all sunbathing in the front but
then we made our way out to have a look beaches in the area. We started by going back to the patisserie that
we went to a couple of days ago to go and get some pizzas as we wanted to sit on the beach and have our
dinner there. We were in the patisserie for a while as the woman behind the counter didn't understand a
word that we were saying, however we got our dinner in the end and made our way to Le Port Du Pouldu Et
La Läita beach. This beach was mostly a rocky beach but it was like sand because the rocks were that small.
We sat on a wall to have our dinner, all sharing the pizza. After eating we then had a short stroll along the
beach. It was weird because there was the ocean and then a small gully leading to a lake of water in the
middle of the beach. However it was very pretty and relaxing walking along the beach and taking in the
scenery. After a short stroll we all decided to sit down, we were talking about what clothes my mum and dad
used to wear when they were a kid, this then led to us all rolling around laughing about the thought of the
type of clothes that they used to wear when they were younger. After about an hour or so we then made our
way to the second beach of the day.
Les Plages beach was only a short journey away from Le Port Du Pouldu Et La Läita beach. However, they
were very different as this one was much smaller and very confined. We took the badminton rackets with us
to have a game on the beach which was quite fun because we were all falling over in the sand trying to hit the
shuttlecock back over the net. Tess also started diving in the sand to try and get the shuttlecock but in the
end she just ended up with red legs from throwing her self in the sand for about an hour. After a few games
and exploring the beach we then headed to our final destination of the day. Port De Doëlan which is the
most painted port in Brittany. When my dad said this me and Tess thought that he meant that they constantly
painted the walls of the port, he didn't mean that he meant that the scenery is painted very often.
We walked around the port and had an ice cream. On the way around we also looked at some of the painting
that people were creating. We were able to see everyones interpretation of what the scene looked like
making every painting different. After the short stroll we made our way back to the caravan and headed
straight to the pool to go on all of the slides. We weren't there long because it was getting quite cold as the
evening went on so we headed back for our tea. This evening we decided to eat out in Quimperlle and after
looking around all of the restaurants we ended up having another pizza which was as nice as the first one we
had at dinner.
Heading back we all had showers and decided to watch ALI. This was a film about the boxer Muhammed Ali
it was good but it wasn't better as the other films we've seen through the week. When the film finished we all
retired to our rooms were I stayed up for a little longer to continue reading my book.

J U L Y 29th 2 0 1 7
Starting the day similar to the rest we got up got ready and went out. We started the day by visiting
Quimperlle as there was a market on. This was very similar to the last market that we visited a couple of days
before. After a quick stroll about we made our way back to the car on our way to Lorent the city centre we
visited the other day as there was also a market on there to. As we made our way towards to what we thought
was the market we came across another small market. The market that we planned on visiting was closed and
not open for another couple of months. This shows how terrible were at reading French as we thought that
the market was today. But we were lucky that the other market was open as we would of travelled all that way
for nothing. The other market was an actual food market. Finally. All of the stalls were inside a small
building in a circle formation. With all of the butchers and the cake stands around the edge of the circle and
the fish stalls in the middle. Walking around we were able to see a variety of different foods and cakes that we
never seen before and of course we had to buy some to try. It was also amazing to see some of the produce
that some of the people bought, such as whole tuna fishes and heads of animals. Even though it was small it
was a really good market to walk around. It was also a market that we hoped to come across whilst in the area
as many people said that the food markets were the best. After having a look about we made our way to the
town Quimper the city centre in South Brittany.
The journey to Quimper was quite a while and non of us could really be bothered going because we were so
tired. However, it was a good thing that we went because it was such a beautiful town. It reminded me of a
set in Harry Potter or something that you would see in Disney because all of the houses looked like they
were apart of a movie set. Walking around the town there were many shops and also a cathedral were we did
go in and have a look around. As we were walking up to the cathedral we came across a small bus that gave
tours of the town. We went on it because we always like to know things about the place that we visit and also
the bus allows us to see parts of the town that we will be able to visit when we finished the tour. After
finishing the tour we decided to go and grab something to eat. After that we then continued to have a look
around the place. All of the streets around the town led back to the cathedral, which I thought was quite
funny. The town was made up of many old style buildings which were tilted in different ways, similar to some
buildings in Yorkshire. We were in the town for about 5 hours before we decided to make our way back
home.
After having our tea and getting showers we all settled down to watch the film Hitch. It was a good film
similar to 27 dresses as it was about love and how people got together. After the film we all then went to
sleep were I then decided to carry on reading some of my Harry Potter book.

J U L Y 30th 2 0 1 7
We did all get up early today however, we did head out late. We headed out late because we wanted a chilled
morning. It was one of the sunniest days that we had all week. So we decided to lay on the sun loungers and
soak up as much sun as we possibly could because we were as white as a milk bottle. Me and Tess sat there
reading or book as my mum fell asleep in the chair next to us. As Tess gets board really easily she ended up
forcing me to put my book down and talk to her. We then decided to play some badminton outside of the
caravan. It was quite funny because she ended up hitting the shuttlecock onto next doors roof and I kept on
hitting it away from were she was standing. After a few games we then headed out to a beach.
As it was a Sunday many of the shops were closed. This was quite weird as in Britain nearly all of the stores
are open 24/7, but we did manage to find a shop as we wanted to buy some snack’s for our dinner and we
also wanted burgers for our tea. But if that shop was shut we wouldn't of had any food because every store
I cant remember what the beach was called but it was very secluded and not many people were there. So we
decided to bring our speaker to play some music whilst we sat and took in more sun. We also had another
chance to play some badminton but it was to windy to play so instead we played with the throw ball, throwing
it from really far away and seeing weather we were able to catch it with one hand. It was a good game as Tess
kept on falling over in the sand every time she went to catch the ball. We were on the beach for about 2 hours
as we had our dinner there and we were just relaxing and enjoying being away. The weather started to
become more gloomy so we decided to go to another beach down the road to see what it was like.
When we arrived me and Tess sat on a small bit of sand while my mum and dad went down to the water to
have a look around. As we were sitting there there were many families and a man and woman who just came
out of the water from swimming. But as they got out of the water the woman took off her swimsuit right in
front of us flashing everything. This then lead to me and Tess running off the beach laughing because it was
so random the way she just stripped off in front of us. After that traumatic experience we headed back to the
caravan.
We got back quite late and we were all quite hungry so me and Tess went to the chippy to buy some chips
and my mum and dad made the burgers. It was quite sad because it was the last night and we all wanted to
stay a little longer. We all sat and discussed how much we have enjoyed visiting France properly for once.
We also started packing our bags for the next day as we had to be out by 10am to get to the boat on time.
After packing and showering we all sat down to watch our final film whilst being on holiday. We all decided
to watch the third Will Smith film this week which was Hancock. We all enjoyed watching it because it was
funny and different from the other films that we have seen through the week. We then all went to bed but I
obviously stayed up to finish reading my Harry Potter book as I was close to the end. I really enjoyed staying
and having a good look around France and I cant wait to come back again.

The last day of a holiday is always the worst, you always wish that you could stay for longer but when it comes
to the end you always want the things that comfort you the most when your home, such as your bed and your
luxuries. We started the day by having our last breakfast before we started to pack. We had to be out for
10am so we quickly got our things together, checked the caravan and went on our way back to the boat. We
started the journey exactly at 10am. We had a 2 hour journey to get to the port where we were going to get
the boat back to Portsmouth. After a quick 2 hour journey through some small French towns and country
fields we made the town of Roscoff, were the boat was docking. We decided to have a little look around
Roscoff as it was only small and we wanted to have some dinner before we went on to the boat. The town was
very similar to some of the other towns that we visited whilst in France, it was small, picturesque and quite as
there wasn’t many people about the town. As we were walking around we were also looking for a place to
eat, so when we came across a small kebab shop Tess was certain that we were going to have that for our
dinner/tea. We all had a kebab and chips each and then made our way back to the car to get to the port.
After numerous security checks and getting the car onto the boat we were finally on our way back to Britain.
The boat journey was 6 hours long from 2pm till 8pm. So in the mean time I watched some TV and sat
outside in the sun with Tess and my mum, before they surprised me with seeing Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in
the cinema. I was so happy as this killed some time whilst we were on the boat and it was another excuse for
me to see one my favourite film’s all over again. I enjoyed seeing it again as it was better than what I
remembered. Because the boat was moving us slightly due to the waves it felt that we were seeing the film in
IMAX because the seats were moving in sync with the action of the film. As soon as the film started it
finished and as it finished it was time for us to get off the boat and finish the last leg of our long journey
home. I really enjoyed the boat as it was the first time I have ever experienced something like that before.
It took us about 30 minutes to get off the boat and go through security but after that we were on our way
home, we stopped quite early on to get some drinks and sweets for the 5 hour journey but we were then on
our way for a long journey home. Because it was night whilst we were travelling all of the roads were empty
meaning that the journey home went quite quick and smoothly because of the little traffic on the road. Me
and Tess also went to sleep in the back making the journey feel like it was only 1 hour long. As soon as we got
in we all went to bed because we were all so tired.
I would love to go back to France again and see different part’s of the county that we haven't seen before.

As my nan has gone on holiday to Tenerife I offered to mind her dog Trevor. She's had him for about 4 years
and he is the most annoying dog I have ever came across. However I didn't want him to go into a kennel so I
felt it would be best if I sorted him out in the mornings, look after him through the day and feed and walk
him. He is a good dog but he very needy and likes to be stoked constantly, but you can tell he is missing his
‘mum’. Today I also had training for work in Liverpool’s ground and as this is up the road I would of been
able to get up quite late and make my way up but because I'm minding the dog, today was a very early start.
After getting ready I made my way up to my nan’s who only lives up the street. I fed, I cleaned up, stroked
the dog and managed to watch the TV for a while before I had to leave for work. But as I went to leave he
decided to wee all over the floor. Cleaning it up quickly and rushing out I went to pick Tess back up from
ours and made my way back up the street to meet my mate Shannon who works with me.
We made our way into work were we stood around for an hour before the training started, meaning that we
didn't have to leave as early as we did to get there. We had a small tour of some of the rooms in the new main
stand which were very elaborate and expensive to sit in during a match day. We then watched a few videos
about the ground and the workers and then played some team building exercises which were quite funny
because no one had a clue what was going on. After 3 hours of training me and Tess then made our way back
to our nan’s to check if the dog was alright. We then tidied up and went back home as we were going to go to
New Brighton with the dog, to take him for a walk. We went home to put our things away from work and
then we made our way back up to my nan’s to get the dog. This would be the first time we have ever had the
dog in the car with us because 2 of us are allergic but because he was alone for some of the day we took the
risk and took him in the car. He was really cute sitting in the foot well as he was staring, smiling at my dad
drive the car for the whole journey.
After getting out of the car me and Tess started walking along the front and my mum and dad cycled along.
The dog was very good for once as he didn't go for every dog that he went past. As we walked along we got
some dinner and sat looking out at the Mersey. We then continued to walk along were we got an ice cream.
This was a mess as my hair was flying into the ice cream every time the wind blew and I had hold of the dog
and Tess was laughing at me because everything was going every were. Everything was just going wrong so
we all decided to go back to the car and go home. Again in the car he was sitting staring at my dad drive. It
was quite late on so I quickly went home and had my tea and went back to my nan’s to check on him. It’s
really sad leaving him in the house by himself because he just gives you these big brown eyes that makes you
feel sorry for him.

Looking after a dog is hard work and I would never like to own one in the future. But he is a good dog and
he's not as bad as he normally is when my nan is home. Because I have been to busy looking after the dog I
haven't really been able to see Tess for a while. So we decided that we were going to go out today but we
didn't know were. By time she got up it was quite late on so we couldn't really go any were far away, but of
course thats what Tess wanted to do as she wanted to go to Cheshire Oaks. But because it was quite a while
away I convinced her to go tomorrow and go the cinema today. We didn't know what we wanted to go and
see but my mum was able to get a voucher thorough work, so we decided to go. After a while of looking at
what was on, we soon remembered that we wanted to see the film Baby Driver, however it was quite late on at
night. After convincing her again to go at a later time the day was planned with another added treat of
visiting Kaspas the dessert place. This would of been my first time going whilst Tess lives in the place.
After walking the dog and sitting with him for a while I went home got changed and we then made our way
into town. We first went to Kaspas were Tess had a milkshake and hot cookie dough and I had a strawberry
and chocolate waffle. I thought that it was similar to the place we went to in London when we went to see Phil
Collins but Tess was fuming at the thought of me thinking that because she loves Kaspas so much. After
eating we then made our way into town to shop for a little while before we went to see the film. We went into
all of the usual shops like Zara and River Island and then we made our way up to the Odeon cinema. We
bought our tickets earlier on so we were able to just walk in. After selecting our seats we settled down to
with the film.
As soon as the film started it finished, because it went that quick. We choose to see the film Baby Driver as
we’ve been waiting ages to see it and many people were saying how good of a film it was. It met up to our
expectations as it was such as good film. It was action pact and we didn’t think the ending would be the way it
was. For the journey all the way home in the car we never stopped talking about the film as it was that good.

A U G U S T 11th 2 0 1 7
We had a early start to the day as we planned to go to Cheshire Oaks. We had to get the bus as my mum and
dad were in work and I still haven't got a car yet, so the bus is the next best thing to get there. We only had to
wait a couple of minutes for the bus to come and then we were on our way. The journey was only a hour long
but the time flew as me and Tess talked for the whole journey there. We only went to Cheshire Oaks to have
a little look around as I have been minding the dog for a few days and I haven't really had the chance to get
out of the house and have a little chat with out Tess.
As we got to Cheshire Oaks we had a little stroll around all of the shops and because we had all day we went
in to nearly every shop that was there. We also had the chance to go for our dinner in KFC and we ended up
sitting in there for nearly an hour chatting. As we walked out of the KFC we saw that the bus was coming so
we ended up running across half of Cheshire Oaks to catch the bus, but as we got to the bus stop the bus
ended up going another way so we didn't have to run in the rain all the way to the bus.
After waiting 5 minutes or so the bus came around the corner and we started the hour long journey back to
Liverpool. This also went really quick as me and Tess were literally laughing at anything and everything all
the way home. I cant even remember what we were laughing at because we were literally laughing at
everything we said and saw. We then got off the bus to wait for the 26 bus to take us back home. As we got to
my nan’s we decided to take the dog out for a quick walk and go back to my nan’s to watch the end of the
Green Mile which we started watching a couple of days ago but we had to turn it off because Tess got to
upset to watch it.
After sitting with the dog for a couple of hours we both went home for tea, after that I then made my way
back up to my nan’s to lock up and sort the dog out. I then went back home to get a shower and chill after a
long day and I was happy to know that Big Brother was on so I ended up watching that.

A U G U S T 13th and 14th 2 0 1 7
Doing my regular routine of looking after the dog for the week I woke up went to my nan’s, sorted the dog
out and the sat with him for a short while before making my way home to have my dinner. I then made my
way back up to my nan’s to get the dog because we were going to take him to Crosby beach for a little walk
along the front. We went in the car and looking at the dog in the front was the cutest thing ever because he
just sits there smiling at my mum holding him down. As we got to Crosby you could tell the the dog was
excited to get out of the car and go for his walk. As me and Tess was walking the dog my mum and dad rode
along the front on their bikes. As we were walking we found a nice little space on the front to sit down and
look across the water. It was quite later on when we went so we were able to catch the sun setting across New
Brighton. The dog was really good as he just sat there staring at the water coming in and out, he didn't even
flinch as he was that amazed looking at the water. After walking back to the car we sat with the dog again as
he stood at the edge looking at the water. We then drove back home to put him in his bed and lock up the
house. I was happy because tomorrow was the last day that I would have to look after the dog because my nan
was coming home from her holiday Monday night.
The final day of looking after the dog and i’m really excited to not go back up to my nan’s again to see
weather he's okay or walk him around the park again. But I have enjoyed looking after him. I feel that I
would of enjoyed it a little bit more if I stayed with him all the time but at the end of the day I would of missed
my bed to much and I don't really like sleeping in my nan’s on my own. When I got to my nan’s I sorted the
dog out for a final time and started to tidy the house up so that it was all nice for her when she got home. It
took me forever to do as I didn’t know were all of her cleaning stuff was or anything. After spending hours
cleaning me and my mum then took the dog around the park. It was a nice walk but I’m fed up of walking
round the park because I've walked the dog nearly three times a day every day.
After walking the dog I sat and wrote my nan a little note to say how he's been and what he's been up to for
the week as we wont be seeing her for the next three days as were going to Wales for a few days away and she
wouldn't of known how he's been and how i’ve been looking after the dog.
We sat with him for a while and then for the last time we sorted him out for bed and locked everywhere up. I
then went home and watched Big Brother as I was knackered after a long week of looking after the dog.

We started 0ff our journey early today as we wanted to make the most of the day. A 10am start wasn't that
bad as we would normally be out before then on a normal working day. We made the hour and a half journey
down to Conway were we were going to stay for the next 3 days in Llandudno. As we got out early we were
able to have a little look around before going to the place were we were staying in. We've visited Llandudno
and Conway before but we planned to do different things than usual when we went. We started our stay by
visiting a nature reserve which was situated just outside of Conway. We were able to walk through the
reserve and then follow a path that took you into the town. This was something that we have never done
before but we always wanted to do it. As we were walking around the weather was amazing. This allowed for
us to see the amazing views across Wales. The walk to Conway took us about an hour but it didn't feel like
that because all me and Tess done was sing and mess around with each other for the whole of the walk. As we
got into Conway town we all decided to got to our favourite pie shop and chippy to get some food to eat.
After collecting what we wanted (pie and chips) we made our way down to the harbour to enjoy our dinner.
We also had an ice cream afterwards because we enjoyed just sitting there and watching the day pass by.
After eating we then made our way back the way we came to the car as it was time for us to go into the room.
Llandudno was only a short car journey away from Conway, so as soon as we got there we checked in took
our stuff into the room and then made our way back out to enjoy the rest of our day. My dad managed to find
a small farm shop as we were driving around so we all decided to go in. As we went in there was a small shop
were we bought some fruit for us to eat. We also had some scones and tea out side in the sun as the place
were we went was beautiful. As we were sitting there enjoying our selves we started to get attacked by a load
of wasps but other than that we did enjoy our scones. After finishing up we remembered that Surf
Snowdonia was only down the road from were we were and we thought we’d go and have a look around the
site.
Surf Snowdonia is a surfing and water activity place were people can learn to surf and take part in water
activities. We were able to stroll around the complex and watch people learning to surf and playing the
games which was quite entertaining as many of the people were just falling into the water and struggling to
get back up onto the blow up activities. We were there for a while but we decided that we wanted to walk
along the Llandudno promenade and look at the views before the sun went down.
My mum and dad popped back to the room to get their bikes as me and Tess started to walk along the front.
As we got half way we sat down and chatted for a while as my mum and dad went off for half an hour or so on
their bikes. When we were all reunited we all decided that we wanted something to eat and Tess chose what
we were going to have. After waiting for her to make her mind up she decided that we would all have a
carvery for tea. Which was very very nice. After tea we made our way back to the room to all watch a film.
Grand Torino was my dads choice of film as he loves it.

A U G U S T 16th 2 0 1 7
An early start to the day meant that we were out early again. We started the day off by having a little stroll
along the promenade and have a little look around at were we could go for some were to eat as we never had
any breakfast. We ended up eating in this small little cafe which was really nice. We were talking about what
we could do during the day and the night before my dad shown me a video of this tree top activity place
which wasn't far away from on of our favourite places, Betws-y-coed. So we all decided that we were going
go and have a look around the place and see weather we wanted to do anything there and then go and visit
Betws-y-coed. As soon as we finished eating we made our way to Zip world. As we got there we parked up
and started walking up to reception, which was up the biggest hill ever, by time we got to the top we were all
knackered and just about talking. After a couple of minutes we were all alright and had a little look around
the place. As we were looking we came across a tobogganing course which looked huge so we all decided
that we all wanted to go on it. So after booking our time and paying for it we decided to make our way to
Betws-y-coed to have a little look around.
After parking up we had a little stroll up their high street and had a little look in all of the shops. We then
made our way to the end of the high street were there is a small stream and rocks that people normally jump
off, but because it was quite overcast no one was jumping in, however there was many people climbing and
sitting down at the rocks watching the day go by. After sitting for a while we started to make our way back to
the car were we decided that we wanted an ice cream, so my dad recommended going to Bed Gellert were
there is a little ice cream shop. It took a while to get there but looking around at the scenery was really nice
as it was raining slightly and all of the mountains looked glowy off the rain. As we got to Bed Gellert we
parked and went to the ice cream parlour to choose our ice creams. After choosing them we had a little stroll
through the town. We stopped at a small stream as we finished our ice creams and as we finished it started to
rain again so we quickly made our way back to the car. As it was nearly time for us to go on the tobogganing
we started making out way back to Betws-y-coed. We took another scenic route but this time we couldn't
see a thing as the rain was coming down that hard and that heavy that we couldn’t see anything in front of us.
However we got there safely.
We parked in Zip world but we didn't have to walk up the hill again as we managed to go up the hill and park
there. After getting our wristbands we sat and had a few drinks and chatted for a while before we started to
que up for the ride. What we could see of the ride was large but when we went on it and experienced what it
was like the track just kept on going and going up the hill. It never seemed to stop and just kept on going
and going and going , which I thought was hysterical because I didn't think it was that big. After our first go
we all stood talking about what it was like and how funny it was .As we were standing there is started to team
down with rain making it even funnier as all of our hair started to go curly and we weren't bothered or fazed
by it at all. After three goes on the tobogganing we were knackered as we have laughed that much at how
good it was. Me and my dad were talking about not using the brakes all the way down the track. It was quite
dangerous but I managed to live so we weren't bothered and carried on not using the brakes on the other
two goes out of the three goes we had.
By time we got back to the room it was quite late on and we were all quite hungry, after quickly cleaning
ourselves up we went to a pizza restaurant quite close by to have our tea. It was really nice and because it was
quite bright out we deicded to walk along the promenade to the Asda to buy a few thing’s before making our
way back to the room. As I have always wanted our Tess to watch Gavin and Stacey because it is my favourite
show I decided to buy it so we could watch it. To finish the day we watched a few episodes of the show before
all going to bed early because we were all so tired.

A U G U S T 17th 2 0 1 7
Waking up to amazing weather we made our way out straight away after packing up all of our things and
putting them in the car. We started by just sitting at the front looking across the water. We then got in the
car and made our way towards the Great Orme. We went up in the car as we were going to make our way
home after we went up it because Tess was getting her A level results. The views across wales were amazing
as the sky was crystal blue and there was no clouds jin the sky. We managed to stop and get out of the car at
some points to take in the view because it was just amazing looking at Wales from a different point of view.
After looking at the scenery we then made our way to Conway again to get some pies for our tea when we got
home. We then started to make our way home. I didn't want to go home as I love going to Wales any time of
the year. You could tell our Tess was getting quite nervous the closer we got tot home as she just wanted to
know how she done in her exams. After dropping her and my mum off at the school me and dad went home
to unpack the car. A couple of minutes later we got a phone call off Tess telling us that she passed all of her
exams and she wasn't being made to leave the school. We were all so made up for her as she tried so hard
revising over the couple of weeks before she sat the tests.
After having our pies and catching up with the wold me and Tess made our way up to my nan’s as we haven't
seen her for nearly 3 weeks. As we went in to her house we were attacked by the twins as we haven't see them
in a while either. It was so nice to see them after so long, we all caught up with what everyone was up to over
the last couple of weeks and we started to mess around and play games with each other as we missed each
other so much. It was so nice to see everyone. I also managed to catch up with my nan as I missed her the
most ,she's like my best friend. We were in my nan’s for hours before we decided to go home and relax after
a busy week.
Me and Tess watched the end of season one Gavin and Stacey as she wanted to know what happened next
after starting the show yesterday . We watched all seven episodes before I retired to my bedroom to catch up
on some of shows that I missed whilst being away.

Planning to go back to London again made me feel really excited because its my favourite place in the world.
A couple of months ago I managed to get tickets to go cheaply for the day, so me my mum and Tess were
able to spend the day down there doing what ever we wanted to do. After thinking about it we all decided
that we would have a little shopping day and go to places like Oxford street, Liberty’s of London and
Harrods.
We started the day at 5am as the train was at 20 past. After my dad dropping us off at Lime street station we
quickly got on the train and started the 2 hour journey into London. As it was quite dark when we started the
journey we were able to watch the sun rise as we were traveling, this was really nice as the sky was pink and
hazy, with mist and fog over all of the fields we went past. The journey went really quick, surprisingly. As
soon as we got off the train we made the short journey to Oxford street through the underground. We
started the day by having a McDonalds breakfast as we had a hour or so before all of the shops opened.
However, we remembered that Primark opened earlier than other stores so as soon as we finished eating we
made our way to there. We must of spent about an hour in there looking at all of the clothes and trying them
on. After there we then started walking up the street as Primark was one of the last stores that were on the
street. We went into every shop even if it appeared more than once, such as Zara which had about 10 stores
on Oxford street alone.
After spending a couple of hours shopping we then decided that we wanted something to eat, so we decided
to make our way to Harrods to have proper good look around there. Two train rides later and we were there.
I love Harrods as I love how big it is and it amazes me how much stuff they can fit into the building. After
getting our dinner we decided to sit down in a Starbucks for a while before we made our way into another
Zara. We were messing around and taking loads of pictures in this store as we got to the point in the day
were your tired but you get really giddy so we were laughing at everything. We were that giddy we were
trying all of the hats on in the store and pretending to be different people. After our photo shoot in Zara we
then made our way back in to Harrods were my mum and Tess bought a few things for them selves. After
looking about it was quite late on so we made our way back to Oxford street for a further look in all of the
shops we never been in.
As the evening went on we were becoming more and more tired because of the early start that we had. So we
ended up sitting in Marks and spenders for a little while talking about the day and about our Tess going
camping with her mates. We then went to Liberty’s to finish the day as we had to catch the train at 9pm to
get home. I also love Liberty’s as I love how weird all of the items are in there and everything you buy is
unique or one of a kind. After having a long wonder around the shop we then decided that we were to tired
to carry on shopping so we started to make our way back to Euston station. We started heading back at
about 8pm.
As we were heading towards Euston on the underground the train was not allowed to stop at the station.
Which was a pain because that was were we had to get off, but it was okay as we were able to get off at the
next station and take a small walk around to Euston. As we got off the train we asked the conductor what was
happening and he explained that the police have stopped all trains from passing through the station and it
has been evacuated. As we walked out of the station and around the corner we were greeted by a stampede of
about a hundred people crying and screaming saying that they heard gun shots from inside the station. At
this point Tess started sobbing and my mum looked at me panicked and scared. I felt like I had to take
charge at this point because they both looked terrified, so we started to walk back to a Costa which was on
the corner of the street. After phoning my dad and explaining what was happening we then started to get a
plan together. This was either us staying in London for the night or my dad drive all the way down to come

and get us. Tess was still upset and scared by it all because the bomb squad was driving past us with sirens
and many people still walking past us in shock. My mum started to calm down after speaking to my dad and I
still felt like I was in charge of them both because they both panic over everything and you could tell that they
were panicking over what would happen to us.
As we were sitting in the Costa I decided to phone my nan just incase she didn't know what was happening.
As soon as she answered the phone I burst into tears because I was more scared for my mum and Tess. My
mum didn't want to go because she thought something like that may happen and Tess was just over thinking
and thought that something worse may happen. After calming down I then phoned my dad again and at that
point we started to walk towards the police line to see what was happening and weather the station will be
opening that night. After my mum speaking to the officer we found out that a E-cigarette exploded in
someones bag and caught fire. The bag was then left in the station burning and everyone started running out
of the station screaming. At this point my heart stopped racing because I knew that we were all safe then and
that we had a possibility of getting home in the next couple of hours. After updating my dad with the news we
still had plan A which was to wait an hour or so and see weather the nation was gong to open again and plan
B which was to go to Hackney were we always stay and rent a room for the night. We decided to go with plan
A first as we just wanted to get home after our long day out and we would of left at any time to get home.
After waiting 30 minutes or so the officer gave us the best news ever which was that we were allowed to go
home. As soon as he said this a large group of people stated cheering and running towards the station to try
and get on the train.
As soon as we got into the station every body was just standing in the lobby waiting to hear their train be
called out on the tannoy. We must of waited 15 minutes before ours got called. As soon as Liverpool and the
platform number got called thousands of people stated running towards the doors to get on the train. There
was so many people as there were 3 trains worth of passengers trying to getting on to one train because they
were delayed getting in due to the incident. I ran so fast to get on the train because there was so many people
running just to get on and away from what was happening back at the station. As soon as I got to our seats I
sat down and just thought about what actually happened and how lucky we were that it wasn't anything
worse.
Our Tess was relived to go home and my mum was also. On the way to the station I phoned my dad all giddily
because I was relieved to be going home and we were all safe. Because we were so tired we tried to get our
heads down for a little while, however this wasn't happening because we managed to sit next to the loudest
group of people ever. They were shouting and hitting one another and singing all of over the train and
putting their music on loud. But because we just wanted to get home and we were so tired we tried to ignore
them and get our heads down for an hour or so before my dad came to pick us up from Lime street.
The journey went quick and I'm glad it did because I just wanted to get home due to how tired I was from
the evening that we had. I was that stressed and worried about Tess and my mum and organising something
for us to do just incase we couldn't go home as soon as I walked through our house door I went straight to
my room got changed and went to bed. I was just relieved that we were all safe and home because I would of
hated for something worse to have happened.

Whilst all this was going on we phoned all of our family who were distraught at what happened. The next day
we all met in my mans to tell them what happened and that we were all okay in the end.
They also asked weather we’d go back to London again and of course we all said YES. Tess also posted an
image on Instagram commenting on what happened and how she felt.

‘Had such an amazing day yesterday in London with my mum and sister, until the minor incident happened
in Euston station last night, as we were about to come home. Never been so scared of not knowing what was
happening, when seeing hundreds of evacuated people crying and running down the streets away from the
station, after getting off the tube on our way to Euston. So thankful for the individuals and families I didn't
know and met last night, who helped us with the worry of the uncertain situation and gave us reassurance
that everything was going to be okay. So grateful to have a sister like Holly, who kept her calm with a brave
face ,looked after me and my mum and got us home, with the help of my dad who stayed on the phone all
night, back at home, till we were on the train.Never experienced a longer 2 hours in my life.
Situations like this truly reveals who cares.’

We started the day early again to start the nearly 2 hour journey down to Beaumaurice for their annual food
festival. We like going to food festivals as it gives us the chance to experience new things and also spend
time looking around a different place. It was also another excuse to go down to wales for the day. Before we
reached Beaumaurice we managed to find a small Waitrose were we bought some fruit and drinks as we
never had any breakfast before we left . Also we were going to a food festival so why would we want to eat
anything big. After the journey we quickly parked up and made our way over to the venue which was
opposite an amazing view over Wales. The weather was amazing also considering it was now the beginning
of Autumn and my favourite time of year. After getting our wristbands we first made our way into a large tent
were many people were selling home made products and providing tasters for us to try. Of course Tess went
around every stall to try everything they were selling. After a little look around there we the slowly moved on
to the field were there was more food being sold and a small stage were a singing group was performing. Me
and Tess were dancing and singing, making fun of some of the welsh songs that they were singing. We first
bought a fish wrap which was the best thing ever. We then slowly moved around the circle trying little bits of
food such as goat burgers, lamb moussaka, halloumi and of course chips. The festival was small but we
enjoyed looking around it. As soon as we were finished we walked along to the pier were hundreds of people
were crabbing, we used to do this when we were little but now we just all sat and talked for a little while
before walking up to the ice cream parlour to buy some ice cream. This time around I decided to get a
chocolate one because our Tess always makes me jealous by getting that flavour. After enjoying our ice
creams we were on the road again on our way down to Pentraeth.
We had to pass through Pentraeth to get to Benlleche, but in Pentraeth is a campsite that we used to visit
whilst we were kids so we decided to drive by and see weather it was still open and weather there was many
tents on the site. It was weird thinking that we used to go there for years when we were younger and as we
were going past we started talking about how much we used to love camping and how much we loved the
site. We then soon made it to Benlleche were we also used to go when we were younger. We got out of the
car and stood at the edge of the beach for the while looking over the water and talking further about the
many fun times we used to have whilst we were away. My dad also started telling us about what he used to do
with his family when he was younger, which was rather funny.
We then decided to have a little drive along to Rhosniger. This was a beach town which we enjoy going to as
we could sit there all day talking and enjoying the scenery of Wales around us. After sitting and chatting for
half an hour or so we then slowly walked along the beach looking at all of the para and wind gliders on the
water making the most of the last days of summer. It was also starting to get a bit dark as we made our way
back to the car.
For our final stop we decided to go to Llandudno to have a quick stroll around the place before we took the
scenic route home. We were all that tired we had showers and I went to bed as soon as I could.
However ,Tess went up to my nan’s to have a sleepover with Ruby and Daisy because it would be the last
time they could all be together before they go back to school.

Today is the last day of the summer holidays for most of my family. Meaning tomorrow Tess will be in her
final year of sixth form, Ruby will be in her last year of normal school meaning she may never be going back
after this year and it would be Charlie and Daisy’s first day of year 7. I think there all excited to go back but I
also feel that the twins will have some nerves of entering a new space that they don't really know about. But
the good thing is that they have family there in their first year so if anything happens or they have any
problems they'll be able to have some one to talk to. We all went to the same primary and secondary school
so these will also be the last of this side of the family going to the Academy .
However, because it was the last day of the summer me and Tess decided to do something. She decided to go
and see Spiderman Homecoming again after us seeing it for the first time a couple of weeks ago.We went to
see it again because we had a voucher for 50% off and also she has a BIG obsession with Tom Holland. The
actor who plays Spiderman. We headed into town quite later on in the day because the film started at 3pm,
so we headed into town at about 1pm because I needed to buy some things before we went to see the film.
After getting what I needed and buying the new Guardians of the Galaxy film on DVD which I was made up
about, we started making our way up to the Odeon. We then made our way to the Ocean and went to the
screen that was showing the film and selected our seats. As we were sitting there our Tess was telling me
how nervous she was seeing the movie because of how much she loves Tom Holland. She compared her love
for him to our Ruby’s love of Justin Bieber and the love she has for him is huge. Through out the whole of
the film our Tess sat there with the biggest smile on her face ever and every time he came on the screen her
smile got bigger and bigger. She also said she liked the film but I just think she went because she wanted to
watch Tom Holland in for 2 and a half hours. Also she doesn't like any other Marvel film which is odd, so I
think she made me go and see it again so she can look at him.
As we came out of the cinema all she could say was how much she loved the film and how much she loved
him. I got this all the way from town to home which is about a 45 minute journey on the bus. So I was made
up to be having a different conversation when we got home because I’m fed up of hearing about Tom
Holland. However, I really did enjoy the film, even if we went to see it again for the second time in two
weeks.

A early start to the day meant that I was able to get quite a few things done before I went out to meet my
friend Emily. I started the day by getting ready and watching some TV. I then had a small dinner and strolled
down to the Asda to pick up a few things that I needed for when I start Uni again. The walk down to the
shops wasn't that long but I remember as a kid it used to take us forever to get out of the street. So when I
got home I was surprised that I managed to walk there, pick up what I need and walk back all in 45 minutes.
When I got home I decided that I was going to make my way into town after watching a film that I caught the
end of the other day and found interesting. The film was on Netflix and called The Circle. It was a good film,
however you did have to sit and watch the film, you couldn't really have it on as background noise. I really
liked it but you had to think about what they were talking about and what the objective of the film was. But it
was good.
After the film I then made my way into town 2 hours earlier than I needed to because I had a few things I
needed to do before I met Emily. As soon as I got into town I made my way to Rennie’s the art shop to buy
some string for an idea that I have and then I made my way down through town to the docks to have a little
look around there to. It was such a windy day and regretted walking down there as soon as I walked through
the Albert dock gates. After there I then made my way back into town to have a quick nosey around town
before I met Emily. I wasn't really looking around the shops because I’m so fed up of shopping and looking
at clothes because it feels like thats all I have done for the past couple of weeks. Luckily, Emily was making
her way into town so I no longer had to look around the shops. We decided that this time around that we
were going to meet in Gino’s because she said that she wanted to try it, so that’s were we went. I waited out
side the restaurant for a little while before she turned up, but I was so happy to see her because the last time I
saw her was when we went to see Wonderland, which was terrible.
We were in Gino’s for about 2 hours catching up and talking about the shows we've been watching and what
we've been up to for the past couple of months. It was nice to catch up with her over some nice food also.
We both had the same thing which was calamari, Spaghetti Bolognese and a Chocolate fondant cake which
was amazing. After our catch up we were both that tired that we decided to go home as she had work all day
and I had been walking around all day. I was so happy to be home because it just started to rain as soon as I
walked through the door.

It’s very rare that I have a lie in but I must of been so tired from the past couple of days that I stayed in bed
until 12pm, everyone thought that I had something wrong with me because I never stay in until that late, but I
must of needed it. After we all decided what we were going to get up to that day, we all got ready as quick as
we could so we could make the most of they we had left. We started by going to the Baltic market in the
Baltic triangle in town. We didn't know what to expect but we loved it. It had a large variation of food and
drink on offer meaning that we had a lot of food to try. We started by having a little look around the space. It
wasn't big but there was many stalls selling different sorts of food. After deciding what we all wanted we
went off to the stall that sold the food and then met at a table that we luckily found, because it was so busy. I
decided to have a falafel wrap because I love wraps and everyone else decided to have pizza. It was so nice
and I enjoyed mine a lot. After seeing other people carrying food past us we all decided to share some
halloumi fries and a curry which was amazing. As we were walking back to the car we decided to go into a
small vintage shop which was huge, as it was inside the old Cain’s brewery. It sold everything from clothes to
kitchens to furniture. It was amazing. We then got in the car and went to the Christmas shop, which I wasn't
really happy about because it’s September and I felt that it was to early to go to the shop. However, when we
went not much of the stock was out and they didn't have any of the songs playing. This meant that my mum
and dad promised to take us again closer to Christmas because it’s like Christmas threw up all over the shop.
After leaving the shop we then drove into Chester to go to Listers, a furniture shop that my mum loves. We
then made our way to Waitrose to pick up a few bits and bob’s and then made out way to the Cheshire ice
cream parlour. We only go because we like the ice cream, but when we turned up and found out that it was
shut we were devastated so we went to Hollie’s farm to make us feel a little bit better. Hollie’s farm is a small
little farms shop which is normally quite autumnal but they were decorating for Christmas so most of the
shop was shut. By time we finished looking around there it was about 6:30pm so we decided to make our
way home to watch the first show of Strictly come dancing, which we were very excited about.
It took us quite a while to get home but it was quite a nice drive as we were able to see the start of the sun
setting in the distance. As soon as we got home we packed the car and all settled down to watch Strictly.
Which me and Tess were very excited about because its like a sign that Christmas and long dark night’s are
just around the corner. Which we love. We loved watching the show but we now have to wait 2 weeks until
the next show, which were not happy about but still excited.

S E P T E M B E R 16h and 17th 2 0 1 7
Me and Tess have been back at work for about a month now and the time from the party to now has flown, I
cant believe that it is September already. It’ll be Christmas soon !!!. As we were both in work my mum and
dad decided to go to the Liverpool food and drink festival that is held in Sefton park. Every year we make an
effort to go the festival as it allows for us to try new food and see what new restaurants are up and coming in
the city. But because we were in work and my mum was in work on the Sunday we wouldn't of had the
chance to all go together, so it meant that we all had to go on separate days to make sure that we went.
On the 16th me and Tess were out for work at 10am and as we were in work my mum and dad went out. The
day went so quick and as work started it seemed to have finished. As me and Tess came home we both had
showers because after work we smell of grease and the smell knocks me ill because it’s really strong and then
we sat and watched some TV together before my mum and dad came in from their day out. As they came in
all they were talking about was the food that they tried and how nice everything was and what food we should
try when we go on Sunday. They talked about many restaurants that they wanted us to try and what food they
loved, it made me quite jealous that they ate all that nice food but luckily me, Tess and my dad was going
again.
My mum was working on the 17th so as my dad took her to work me and Tess started to get ready for the day
ahead. We left the house at about 12pm to make our way up to the Baltic market as there was a small farmers
market within the building that the market’s in. We loved the market when we went last week so we knew
that what we were going to was going to be good. As we went into the market there was a small square of
producers selling their products. There was many cakes and pies being sold and also many tasters to be had
whilst we were looking at the stalls. We bought a few things such as brownies but there wasn't many stalls
there. I kind of liked this because it allowed for us to look more at what the people were selling and ask about
some of the items that they had out.
After the market we then made our way to the festival. It was a lot smaller than normal and there was less
stalls than what there usually is, however the 3 of us still had a great time tasting all of the foods from
different stalls and from different parts of the world and because my dad went the day before he was telling us
what food we should try and what he thought was the best. We tried many things as we walked around from
cannoli’s to lemongrass chicken (which was amazing) to lobster mac and cheese (which also was amazing) to
pork head balls with pineapple chutney (which was the best). As we were trying all of the food we also
managed to listen to some of the music acts that are on through out the day. As we were walking around we
managed to see one of the X factor contestants sing. He was really good and better than what he sounded
like when he was on TV. After a few more dishes of food we decided to make our way home.
As we got home me and Tess quickly tidied up and decided to watch Stranger Things as the new series is
coming out soon and were both really excited for it to start as we both enjoyed watching it. After one episode
it was then time to pick mum up form work. All the way home in the car we all discussed the food that we
liked and tried and how much we enjoyed the day. However, we were all so tired we all went home and
watched TV together. I then remembered that the new American horror story was finally on Netflix so I
started to watch the series. After 4 episodes it was then finally for me to go to bed after a really good day.
