Can you tell us a little about yourself? Hi there! I’m<br />
Vinette, V for short. I’m a 21 year old farm girl from<br />
South Africa with a love for adventure and all things<br />
creative.<br />
If you could change anything about yourself, what<br />
would it be? In an industry that chases perfection, it is<br />
easy to criticise yourself. I like to believe that even<br />
though there is always space for improvement, our<br />
flaws make us unique and should be embraced. But to<br />
be honest, I could do with fewer blonde moments, I<br />
tend to get a bit clumsy at times haha...<br />
How did you start modeling? I was a shy, introverted<br />
12 year old when my mom decided to enroll me into a<br />
modeling school to boost my confidence. From there I<br />
was scouted at a modeling competition and got signed<br />
to an agency in Cape Town.<br />
What do you think of the work as a model? Although<br />
it has many perks, like traveling to different countries,<br />
it is not always as glamorous as it is perceived. As with<br />
most careers, it requires hard work, determination<br />
and a lot of patience.<br />
What is your beauty regimen? What you put into<br />
your body is what you get out. I follow a plant-based<br />
vegan diet, which helps to keep my skin and hair<br />
healthy. As for exercise, I like to mix it up and try new<br />
ways of staying active.<br />
What are your plans for the future? Currently I’m<br />
looking for a new challenge, but traveling and<br />
experiencing new countries has always been my<br />
dream. On a more serious note, I would love to get<br />
involved with projects that help to make the world a<br />
better place.<br />
What are some of your favorite experiences<br />
so far? My favorite experiences have been<br />
during my solo travels. It wasn't always easy,<br />
but it was an important part of my personal<br />
growth. Life is one big adventure and every<br />
day is a new opportunity to experience life<br />
fully.<br />
Do you have any advice for those who want<br />
to start modeling? Don’t take compliments<br />
to your head or opinions to your heart.<br />
Be confident with who you are and what you<br />
have to offer. Persevere and never give up.<br />
