was worst off because not only was jesus being mocked, he
was being spat on also. This became so disgusting, irritating
and unbearable. Jesus dropped the cross and chased after the
heckler. He had just aborted the film the second time. When
he came back from the chase, the director had become
infuriated and fed up with him and told him that he is not
worthy acting Jesus again. But because of the attractive
reward attached to the successful completion of the film
project, he begged and promised again to endure till the end.
The director had compassion on him and gave him another
chance. On this third occasion, the heckler appeared again,
mocking, throwing stones, spitting and yelling at jesus on the
way to the Golgotha. This time again the temptation to drop
the cross rose up within but instead of dropping the cross and
chase after the heckler, jesus, under the heavy burden of the
cross just turned his face in the direction of the heckler and
said ‘I’ll see you after my resurrection’; and he continued till
the end and got the reward!”
Director, the attractive reward that is worthy staking life for is
the eternal life and the crown of glory awaiting the saints who
endure till the end and finished the race of faith (1 Peter 5: 1 –
4; 1 Timothy 6: 12;). He had spoken to me and all God was saying
is that endurance and patient are essential virtues to be
successful in Ministry. That I needed to go back and not run
away but persevere till success is achieved.
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the
Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick
and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and
doctrine. For the time will come when they will
not endure sound doctrine; but after their own
lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
