Hi guys, Dear Vans Family, Here we are again with a Peanuts Colab! And it’s not the last one! Because in HO17 we will do 2 amazing Vans X Peanuts launches with these cool characters! To focus on the first one, to follow the hype created by our amazing marketing story that we launched on the 2nd of June 2017 in all our Vans Stores, on the 6th of October 2017 the 2nd drop will be live. Peanuts Lovers will have many styles perfectly tailored for them with a darker feel and you will see that the Peanuts prints are offered in all the iconic Vans silhouettes. The October delivery of Vans x Peanuts footwear will include many styles that fuse Vans Classic icon silhouettes with vintage comic details. A modern take on monochromatic footwear can be seen on the Sk8-Hi and Old Skool both which feature solid canvas and sidewall with allover Charlie Brown and Snoopy illustrations. Vans channels the Sunday Funnies with a comic strip-inspired Authentic that showcases scenes from some of the Peanuts most memorable moments. The Peanuts gang and their dance party can be found on the Authentic and quarter panels of the Old Skool. The many faces of Snoopy make their way onto the Checkerboard Slip- On, an icon of Vans’ heritage. Everlasting love and friendship is showcased across the Classic Slip-On with Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock featured in a loving embrace. If you look closely, you’ll see “best friends” embossed within the toe bumper. A capsule collection of Vans x Peanuts apparel and accessories will also be available in men’s and women’s size runs. The men’s, women’s and boys collection matches back to the footwear patterns, so you will be able to channel Charlie Brown and Snoopy with a selection of tees, hats, backpacks and socks. 4
Are you ready for the Hard Launch on October the 6th? 12 footwear,7 apparel and 10 accessories options will be on your shelves and on your tables soon! Just to refresh your mind, some Peanuts history for you: Charles Schulz debuted his first-ever Peanuts comic strip on October 2nd, 1950, in nine newspapers around America. 65 years and nearly 18,000 strips later, the simple wisdom of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy and the whole gang has touched millions of readers and will touch thousands of Vans consumers too. Charlie might be a fictional comic book character but he’s got a lot to say and gives us a lot to think about: Charlie’s just a little socially awkward kid who has some shifty friends, but, when you think about it, lots of what he says is damn close to wise! I mean, sure, he might be a bit gloomy at times but Charlie’s words are definitely a fun read. All together sold around 2100 uts, so Guys let’s beat this record! Come on
