ON BOARD
Champagne Laurent-Perrier
for all those sparkling moments on board.
There will, almost certainly, be
many special occasions during
your cruise when nothing seems
more appropriate than a perfectly
chilled glass of bubbly. So we
are sure you will be as delighted
as we are that, as from June,
Laurent-Perrier has become the
Champagne of choice on our ships.
Chocolate heaven
among the stars.
Within Queen Victoria’s restyled Chart Room, a setting inspired
by the constellations, you will find sweet temptations.
Our Godiva menu brings you gourmet
Belgian chocolate in many decadent
forms. Succumb to a velvety smooth
Chocolixir for sipping, whether refreshingly
chilled, or comfortingly hot and topped with
a slowly melting chocolate.
You may prefer to deliberate over the selection
of luxurious white, milk and dark chocolates that
will catch your eye on the Godiva Chocolate Table.
Be unashamedly indulgent by ordering
a mouthwatering trio of mini desserts –
a chocolate cheesecake, a triple chocolate
brownie and a dark chocolate and salted
caramel tartlet. Perhaps the most hedonistic
experience of them is the wickedly delicious
fondue. After all, how could anyone resist
smothering fresh strawberries, banana slices,
marshmallows or croissant morsels in a rich
ganache of white, milk or dark chocolate? C
Laurent-Perrier is a name that carries great
prestige. The family-owned house focuses all
of its considerable expertise on Champagne,
and Champagne alone, as it has since 1812. This
is perhaps why it has been known for innovation
as much as quality, not least for pioneering the
saignée method of making rosé Champagne by
bleeding the color from the skins of the Pinot Noir
grape, to get its iconic color and flavor, rather than
a conventional blend of red and white. The result
was the acclaimed Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé,
first launched in 1968 and, naturally, available for
you to try on board.
Beside the signature La Cuvée, the Ultra Brut and
the Grand Siècle, you will also find a Laurent-
Perrier Vintage 2007 on our Champagne lists.
Laurent-Perrier has chosen to make vintages
more selectively and less frequently than other
houses, only choosing the very best years. This
vintage has produced a fresh, elegant Champagne,
with hints of white peach and Mirabelle plum. The
year was a special one for us too of course, being
when Queen Victoria made her debut.
You can now find our full Laurent-Perrier offering
on the new Gin & Fizz Menu in Queen Victoria’s
elegant Midships Lounge. We have also recently
introduced the luxurious Laurent-Perrier
Champagne Lounge on Queen Mary 2, an elegant
spot in the heart of the ship, where you can
sample our complete collection of Laurent-Perrier
Champagnes, served in Waterford crystal.
Beside these lounges particularly dedicated to
Champagne, it goes without saying that you can
always order a flute or two in venues across our
ships, including your restaurant. You can also
indulge in Laurent-Perrier as part of our Champagne
Afternoon Tea, or to celebrate the start of your
cruise at our memorable “Sailaway” events. C
Tea served with exquisite artistry.
Another reason to visit the Chart Room, Tea Forté delivers an
ultra-premium experience, whatever your tastes.
In every cup, you will appreciate the benefits
of Tea Forté’s close relationship with their
growers and the artistry of their handcrafted
pyramid-shaped infuser. So sip your pick of their
black teas, green teas or even a rare white tea.
Naturally, there are herbal varieties too – six in
fact – whose delicate flavors include rooibos
herb with a hint of berries and vanilla in Africa
Solstice, the soothing Chamomile Citrus and the
tang of Ginger Lemongrass.
"The exceptional tea experience"
For ultimate refreshment with a dash of drama,
you will want to order Tea Forté’s Tea Over Ice, ®
presented in a pair of pitchers stacked in the shape
of a pyramid. Your waiter will flash chill the tea in
the top pitcher by pouring it into the ice-filled lower
pitcher at your table. Go for a Ceylon Gold, or one
of four subtle fruity combinations – Blood Orange,
Mango Peach, Ginger Pear and Raspberry Nectar. C
