Many organisations offer employment programs for young
people which help develop their skills, knowledge and
capabilities, enabling them to look for and gain a job. These
programs also help make a positive contribution to the areas
in which they operate.

An apprenticeship or traineeship is a training contract between
an employer and an employee in which the apprentice or
trainee learns the skills needed for a particular occupation or
trade. Read more about pre-apprenticeships on page 24.

will undergo a paid placement. After
completing the placement along with the
required training and workbooks you will have
the skills necessary to gain full employment.

difficulties finding employment due to low literacy,
numeracy or English language competency.
