100 YEAR OLD POSTAL RAILWAY TUNNELS EXPOSED IN LONDON
Holes exposing the 100 year old postal railway tunnels that run beneath London’s
streets have opened up all over the capital. The miniature stalactite-filled ‘Mail Rail’
tunnels opened to the public for the first time in September. www.postalmuseum.org
FEASTING ON THE WALKING DEAD
FRIGHT FACTOR AT THORPE PARK
Thorpe Park has secured an exclusive
deal with the U.S. television network
AMC to launch two new live-action
attractions based on the globally
renowned TV series The Walking Dead.
The mazes coincide with the premiere
of The Walking Dead Season 8 on
23 October.
The indoor maze called The Walking
Dead: Living Nightmare will see visitors
experience terrifying iconic scenes of the
global phenomenon, including the
world’s first live attraction featuring of
season 7. They will join other survivors
on the brink of death at the mercy of the
notorious Negan.
HALF TERM AT QUEEN ELIZABETH
OLYMPIC PARK
Visitors can make the most of the last
few days of British Summer Time this
half term at Queen Elizabeth Olympic
Park. Before the clocks go back on
29 October and the days get shorter, you
can enjoy over 10 hours of daylight in
the UK’s most exciting urban park.
There is an opportunity to watch elite
athletes compete in the iconic London
2012 venues with Olympic medallists
and world leading athletes battling it out
for gold at the World Taekwondo Grand
Prix and World Para Taekwondo
Championships in the Copper Box Arena
and some of the world’s best
professional riders taking part in a
variety of sprint and endurance cycling
events at Six Day London 2017 at Lee
Valley VeloPark.
On Sunday 5 November, from 18.00-
21.00, visitors can zoom 262ft into the
sky to the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit
to marvel at some of London’s best
firework displays as they illuminate

In The Walking Dead: Sanctum,
guests will experience a live-action
outdoor maze like no other. Following in
the footsteps of survivors, they have to
navigate their way past the roaming
walkers or risk being captured.
