Catch Up on Our TSC Webinars
Over the last few months TSA has run two webinars,
experimenting with this new way of delivering our
education events for people with TSC and their families.
Thank you to Drs John Lawson and Chirag Patel for
presenting these webinars during their spare time. The epilepsy
webinar explored medicinal cannabis and mTOR inhibitors
as emerging treatments for epilepsy for people with TSC. The
genetics session explored how TSC can be inherited, how people
can access genetic services in their area and the importance
of lifelong surveillance to maintain the health of people with
TSC. These events were great opportunities for attendees to ask
questions directly of two of Australia’s TSC expert doctors.
If you missed these events, you can watch the webinar
recordings at a time that suits you. You can also watch
recordings of many of our previous education events on a
variety of topics.
Visit www.youtube.com/AuTuberousSclerosis to see all
our videos.
Our webinar project was supported by an educational grant
from Novartis. Novartis had no influence over the outcomes of
this project or of webinar topics, speakers or content.
TSC Community Connects at
Events Around Australia
T
hank you to all our regional contact volunteers who
organised this year’s simultaneous picnic day: Fiona,
Christy, Tamara, Lisa, Rebecca, Debbie, Alison and George.
We had events in the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, the Hunter
region, Sydney, Melbourne and Launceston. The Perth picnic
was postponed due to weather but Nicole organised some of the
community to catch up in the school holidays.
