Daniel Blaufuks
Daniel Blaufuks uses mainly photography and video, presenting his
work through books, installations and films. He has a predilection for
issues such as the connection between time and space and the
intersection between private and public memory.
In the series W or The Memory of the World, Blaufuks takes photos
of Aby Warburg’s own files and boxes and, by showing them closed,
he chooses not to reveal its content. These boxes have never been
photographed. Like in Warburg’s work, Blaufuks mounts a set of
references, indexes, that refer to different universes and defines a
discourse from the relations between them.
