WHY <strong>BHARATMALA</strong>?<br />

Prime focus on: optimizing efficiency of the movement of<br />

goods and people across the country.<br />

50 New National corridors<br />

Connecting 550 Districts in the country through NH linkages.<br />

Generating large number of direct and indirect employment<br />

opportunities in the construction & infrastructure sector and also<br />

as part of the enhanced economic activity resulting from better<br />

road connectivity across the country.<br />

Development of 24,800 kms in Phase- I<br />

Phase –I includes development of 10,000 kms of balance<br />

road works under NHDP, taking the total to 34,800 kms at<br />

an estimated cost of Rs.5,35,000 crore<br />
