SECTORS: GOVERNMENT
Many areas of the public sector in the UK have experienced significant
cuts to funding in recent years and government departments in particular
are coming under more scrutiny when it comes to spending. This has led
to a focus on accountability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness, areas in
which AV technology can make a huge difference.
For a council meeting to be productive, be it a small town with 25
councillors or a large city with 150 or more members, the audio/video
system has to be effective and non-intrusive, allowing the members to
focus on the matters in hand.
A system allowing effective decisions to be made will include seamless
technology, such as voting, video conferencing, wireless collaboration,
while archiving the meeting to a local server or streaming out to the
web. In addition, a microphone system with a queuing function, but still
allowing the chairperson to have overall control, and an installed audio
distribution system with repeater display screens so visitors and press in
the public gallery can clearly see and hear the proceedings, will ensure
meetings run smoothly.
The government sector is undoubtedly challenging and spending
decisions will be highly scrutinised. CDEC is experienced in delivering

corporate environment. Dynamic digital signage allows for business-critical information
to be displayed professionally in real time to your visitors, clients and staff. Our
consultants can discuss a range of options for you, providing either an off-the-shelf
style or bespoke solution allowing you to publish data, images and messages for each
of your target areas, from welcome screens or statement video walls in your reception,
to announcement screens for staff in office or break out spaces.
The use of visual communications combined with real-time data is helping many

creative meeting room solutions, making excellent use of collaboration tools, room
booking and control systems, allowing for full participation in voice, video and data, and

in the high-pressure, time-sensitive hospital
environment. Making anytime communication
available between departments, specialists,
and doctors and
patients can lead to improved knowledge

MANAGED SERVICE DESK
Our AV specialist desk is able to take customer calls as
well as escalations from on-site team members. All of
our Service Desk processes are aligned with our ITILv3
operating model, and team members possess a variety
of specialisms from control systems, projection and sound reinforcement
through to Mac/PC presentation troubleshooting and Wi-Fi configuration. In
addition to troubleshooting and remote support, Service Desk can manage
scheduling for Field Engineer visits, lecture recordings and provide advice and
guidance to customers.
ASSET TRACKING &
CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT
Asset tracking maintains a complete inventory of your AV
estate, from the make, model and serial number to the
configuration, software and connections on each device.
Incidents recorded by the Service Desk or Field Engineers are logged against
individual assets providing a more complete picture for our trend analysis and
problem management teams. Alongside this function, our regular configuration
management process ensures that your AV equipment is up to date with the
latest firmware, features and best practice configuration, while your customers
have access to the latest documentation and support.

CAPTURE AND RECORD
CDEC offers a range of services targeted at major events (corporate
keynotes, interviews, graduations, inaugural lectures and conferences)
requiring live streaming, recording, editing and production. Our
in-house team are equipped for multi-camera shoots with vision mixing
and high-quality online streaming.
ON-SITE FIELD ENGINEERS
Working alone or alongside your technicians, our Field Engineers have
substantial experience across the corporate and education sectors and
provide friendly, confident and rapid technical support. Field Engineers
work on scheduled maintenance contracts, proactive repairs or
upgrades and incident quick response.
REMOTE MONITORING
Providing full coverage of your networked AV equipment, the Remote
Monitoring team oversees the availability and performance of each
installation, correlating any failures and working proactively with
on-site teams to resolve issues before they impact customers.
