What is Ceiling Smashers?<br />
A BMX Contest. Riders from all over the region will compete in a jam-style format. The<br />
event that will take place on December 2nd, 2017 at Olliewood Action Sports, located at<br />
3125 Cedar Crest Ridge, Dubuque, IA 52003. The best BMX riders in the midwest will<br />
come to Dubuque to compete in the close quarters of Olliewood Action Sports. Spectators<br />
can expect to see the same tricks that are showcased in big contests like the X-Games but<br />
within the tight space of Olliewood the action will be more intense.<br />

facility such as Olliewood Action<br />
Sports. Olliewood has been open<br />
for almost 2 years with the goal<br />
of getting kids and adults off the<br />
couch and engaged in the creative<br />
form of expression that we know<br />
as Action Sports.<br />

skills to this event. He is also<br />
a BMX rider and after leaving<br />
Dubuque for the year round riding<br />
conditions of the Southwest,<br />
he returned to Dubuque to grow<br />
his media business and contribute<br />
to the midwest BMX scene.<br />

Bobby is a Burlington, IA native<br />
with 10+ years of experience<br />
working in the BMX industry<br />
and putting on contests. After<br />
working with big companies like<br />
Kink Bicycles (Blackout Distro)<br />
and Sunday Bikes, Bobby has settled<br />
back in Iowa and opened his<br />
own shop (BMX Racing Zone) in<br />
Moline, Il.

Wh0 will attend?<br />
Anyone. This is a family friendly event. There will be bleecher seating available for spectators<br />
and food trucks will be on hand to keep everyone feeling satisfied. We are expecting<br />
over 200 spectators throughtout the day.<br />
As far as competitors go this event is open to anyone as well.Two classes of competition will<br />
be offered:<br />
Prize Class: Open to any riders. Suggested skill level beginner/intermediate. Prizes<br />
will be awarded based on availability. Prize amounts will be weighted and distributed<br />
according the riders score by the judges. We are expecting 20 riders to compete.<br />
Cash Class: Open to any rider. Suggested skill level expert/professional. Total cash<br />
payout will be determined on the day of the event. Rider will be awards scores by the<br />
judges and purse money will be distributed accordingly to their total scores. All funds<br />
collected will go towards cash purse awarded to the winners. We are expecting 25<br />
riders to compete.<br />
There will also be a Best Trick Competition.<br />
Best trick Competition: Open to any riders. Riders can use any obstacle in the park to<br />
perform their best trick. This event will be judged by crowd applause.
how will my <strong>sponsorship</strong> be recognized?<br />
All cash sponsors will be recognized on all promotional material for the event, including:<br />
• Posters at the Olliewood and over 20 other locations around Dubuque<br />
• Social Media Posts<br />
-A social media post on both Facebook and Instagram dedicated to you and your<br />
business depicting your logo (if supplied) and any other specials offers that you would<br />
like to include. We will also link to your social media platforms in the post.<br />
-Your logo on our event post that will be shared by all registered riders and boosted 1<br />
week prior to our event.<br />
• Your business name recognized on the microphone by our commentator(s) before and<br />
after each group of riders during the preliminary qualifiers, and final runs.<br />
• A chance to get on the microphone at our event to promote your business<br />
