Polyester IDY HT/LS (High-Tenacity / Low-Shrinkage)
concept
High-tenacity yarns are produced for applications in conveyor
belts and other heavy fabrics. Another application sector with
huge growing potential is Geotextiles. The high-tenacity, highmodulus
and low-creep properties typically required for this
application to keep soil and rocks in place can be perfectly
achieved with our IDY high-tenacity yarn lines.
Low-shrinkage is a particularly important feature in the
processing of tarpaulins. The Low-Shrinkage (LS) yarns manufactured
using this system have a shrinkage of only 4%, but
nevertheless always remain even.
High efficiency is the key feature of our concepts offering a
product range of up to 18,000 den per position. High output
per position is easily achievable with this system configuration.
A huge advantage in terms of conversion costs.
Furthermore, our systems are incredibly flexible: from
6-end or 8-ends to 12-end or 16-ends – with just a few
adjustments.
The HT/LS machine concept can also be equipped with a
system for manufacturing adhesive-activated yarns.
