menu items are the grilled
shrimp skewer and fresh
grilled salmon. Both items
are served with vegetables
and a baked potato, as opposed
to the traditional
sides of fries and coleslaw.
Just Shrimp’s menu includes
jumbo wild-caught
shrimp, different fish dinners
such as fish ’n’ chips,
lake perch, catfish and tilapia,
as well as a variety
of fish sandwiches and po’
boys. The are an array of
different side choices, as
well as their daily lobster
bisque soup.
It has been approximately
three years since Mihalos
convinced her family
to turn the once-named
Chicken Wild restaurant
into Just Shrimp.
“By experimenting a
little first, we added different
fried shrimp and
fish items to our previous
restaurant,” Mihalos said.
“Due to the high demand,
I was able to see that this
concept might just work,
since there is nothing like
us nearby. It was then, together
with my dad, that
we decided to switch the
whole concept to Just
Shrimp.”
Seeing as Mihalos is
a fourth generation restaurateur,
growing up
and around the restaurant
industry has helped her
greatly along the way.
Mihalos states, “Although
there are many
challenges I face being a
young, female restaurateur,
having my dad by my
side along the way does
help tremendously.”
In addition to their newly
grilled menu items, Just
Shrimp also is offering
a soft-shell crab po’ boy,
while still in season. This
seasonal item is loved by
customers, and is only offered
for a few weeks out
of the year. The po’ boy includes
fries and coleslaw,
and is dressed with Just
Shrimp’s signature spicy
sauce, lettuce and tomato.
