96, of Northbrook died.
He was the beloved
husband of the late Rochelle,
nee Frankel and
the late Shari Rodnick
Spitz; cherished father of
Stephen, David and Debbie
“Suki Rae” Spitz;
devoted grandfather of
Kimberly (Eric) Albrecht
and Eric (Meredith) Spitz
and great-grandchildren
Dylan, Colby and Adeline;
dear brother of Elaine (the
late Michael) Schwimmer;
fond former father-in-law
of Barbara Hesky; loving
special friend of the
late Ollie Jacobs; special
thanks to amazing devoted
care-giver Junior.
He was a Naval Lieutenant
in World War II.
Lois Claire Harper
Lois Claire Harper, 80,
of Northbrook, died Oct.
26th.
Harper was a devoted
daughter, a loving aunt
and a faithful friend to
many. She enjoyed travel,
was a fabulous hostess and
was extremely generous
to those she loved. She is
survived by her brother
Don (Pat) Harper, three
nephews and two nieces,
and multiple great nephews
and nieces. Her parents
and brother, Kenneth,
greeted her upon her arrival
in heaven.
Harper was born June
10, 1937, in Chicago,
to Elmer and Dorothy
Harper. She received her
Bachelor’s from the University
of Valparaiso and
her Master’s in Dietary
Science from the University
of Indiana. She spent
35 years as the Director of
Food Services at Swedish
Covenant Hospital. Swedish
Covenant was locally
known as the only restaurant
in Chicago with a hospital
attached.
Memorial gifts in her
honor can be given to the
Swedish Covenant Hospital,
5145 N California Avenue,
Chicago, IL 60625.

Lorraine Ruth Wax, nee
Borman, 83, of Northbrook,
died.
She was the beloved
wife of the late Morton,
married for 56 happy
years; loving mother of
Roslyn (Jim) Mooney and
Craig (Julie) Wax; cherished
grandmother of Matthew
and Owen Mooney
and Lauren and Emily
Wax; much loved sister of
Bernard Borman; favorite
aunt of Jennifer Borman
(Jim Bowker), Emily
(Tim) Spurrell, Bill Wax
and Phyllis Dobbins.
Wax was an extraordinary
example of someone
whose life was guided by
family, love and service.
