District changes lunch policy
Students must pay for lunches in each school office or by Epay online.
Meals may be paid for the day they are eating their lunch for one day, or
may pre-pay for lunches by the week or by the month or school year.
A student in grades K-12 may “delete” his or her cash source of pre-paid
money on their account. At this time, they will be allowed to “charge” for
meals UP TO THE LIMIT OF NEGATIVE $10.
When a student reaches the negative $10 limit he or she will discreetly
be given an alternate sack lunch (only four sack lunches will be provide for
the student, after that no lunch will be provided). Each sack lunch will cost
$1 for full-pay students and $.50 for reduced pay students. These alternate
lunches meet the MY Plate guidelines for school lunch. We will not allow
them to charge past the given amount.
Middle and high school students are old enough to assist in managing
their own accounts. They may check with the office to see the balance of
their account at any time. It is the responsibility of the parent and student
to manage the prepaid account.
Parents may call the student’s school office to check the balance of their
child’s account or the parent may go to www.teacherease.com and set up
an account to monitor your child’s account.
Please feel free to contact your school’s office with any concerns or
questions regarding payment of unpaid lunches.
A la carte food is sold at middle & high school levels. Students with
a negative balance of any amount will not be allowed to charge a la carte
food.
Free or Reduced Lunch forms may be filled out at any time during the
school year. They are available on our website and in each school building.
Art looking
for bottle caps
In Art we like to practice Upcycling.
Upcycling is the reuse of discarded
objects or material in such a way
as to create a product of a higher
quality or value than the original.
The Art Room is in need of your
bottle caps for future projects. We
will take any plastic caps: Soda bottle
caps, Gatorade, water bottles and
more!
We will take as many as you have
whether it be 5 or 50.
Ms. Nichols would still take
newspapers for other upcycling
projects. Feel free to send them in.
