HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FLAGS
AND OUTDOOR BANNERS
1. Over the weeks and months your flag may
discolour from air pollution, the bright whites
will become more grey and bright colours may
dull a little. UV rays will cause deterioration and
fading to the fabric and thread.
2. Textile flags and banners can be washed
normally at up to 40 degrees wash with normal
household detergents.This will remove the
dirt and make them look brighter again. Dry
your flag completely before storing to prevent
mould.
3. In heavy rain and heavy winds over the
stated wind speed you should take down your
outdoor product and store away safely.
4. Your flag will last longer if cared for, any
edges that become frayed should be trimmed,
re-inforced and re-hemmed. Life expectancy of
a flag in normal conditions is 4-6 months.
5. To keep your flag or banner in good
condition make sure they are not rubbing on
anything sharp which will wear them quickly
and make sure you position them with enough
space to rotate freely.
6. RECOMMENDATION -Outdoor banners in
continuous use printed on PVC/Vinyl will benefit
from wind slits which will de-power the force of
the wind and put less stress on the banner and
the product they are attached to.
