hisdesires.Inhisseries"UrbanAnonymous"(2007),<strong>Manuel</strong><strong>Antonio</strong><strong>Rodriguez</strong>presentedareality,thatof<br />
Cuba.Inworkstingedwithastrongsocialconnotation,thesensationofmovementmakesitpossibletobring<br />
outtheimmobility.It's"Theironyofmovement".Indeed,themovementalowsonlyaneternal<br />
recommencement,byextensiononecanseethedenunciationofaninertsocietyandacertainconformism.<br />
WhenhearivedinFrance,thisartistfoundrefugeinhisphotographicarchives,imagesofhiscountry,ofhis<br />
past.Theresultwasthe"NearandFar"series(2012).Thepaintingsresultingfrom thisworkareacontinuation<br />
ofhispreviousworkfocusedontheurbanenvironment.Justasitisimpossiblenottoseethephotographic<br />
aspectinhispaintings,itisimpossibletoignorethemovement.<br />
