Hand dyed, each leather piece is unique in its own right.<br />
Despite the hand made nature of this product,<br />
the dyed hides are suitable for both residential and commercial interiors.<br />
Select colours and patterns from the collection catalogue,<br />
or work with us to develop unique designs and custom colours,<br />
resulting in truly bespoke masterpieces.<br />
High quality leather is sourced from European suppliers.<br />
All design work and production takes place in the <strong>Shibori</strong> studio in Sydney,<br />
allowing for quick lead times and direct collaboration with the artists.
CUSTOM COLOUR & DESIGN<br />
Aside from the many designs, colours and tones that are<br />
available in the standard leather collection,<br />
we can work with you to achieve colours that are truly unique to your project.<br />
Working with Pantone references or Dulux colour chips<br />
we can prepare strike offs and samples for your project,<br />
enabling our clients to have a complete understanding<br />
of what the finished product will look like.<br />
Additionally, we can work with you to adjust existing designs,<br />
or to develop <strong>Shibori</strong> patterns beyond the catalogue.
APPLICATION<br />
Specified for many commercial and residential projects,<br />
the <strong>Shibori</strong> <strong>Leather</strong> is extremely durable<br />
and can be specified for upholstery and other uses in high traffic areas.<br />
The leathers are waxed and sealed with a solution to waterproof<br />
and protect the hides, leaving them lustrous, soft and most importantly, durable.

THE PROCESS<br />
The ancient Japanese art of shibori is a resist dyeing technique<br />
commonly used to decorate silk or cotton found on Obi’s and Kimonos.<br />
<strong>Shibori</strong> Textiles have put their own spin on the technique<br />
applying it to leather and other products.<br />
While modern technology assists design applications to material printing<br />
transfer, all shibori leather stays with the tradition and is hand dyed<br />
using <strong>Shibori</strong> textile’s unique methods.<br />
The dyes and process have been developed<br />
to ensure an environmentally sustainable product.<br />

MARSEILLE LEATHER<br />
Marseille leather is hand bound and dyed corrected grain bovine<br />
with a pigmented finish and an embossed effect.<br />
Suitable for high traffic and commercial applications.<br />
Average hide size: 4.6sqm<br />
CANNES LEATHER<br />
Cannes leather is hand bound and dyed semi aniline bovine<br />
leather and is produced on the best quality European hides.<br />
A smooth and silky look and has a soft waxy touch.<br />
Cannes is very durable, which is good for high<br />
traffic and commercial applications.<br />
