The bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry consist in an integration
of disciplines like: chemistry, biology, biotechnology and
mathematics . This bachelor responds to the environmental,
alimentary and biotechnology needs . It develops innovative
projects in the corresponding technologies to this areas. The
objective of this major is to form high quality engineers in the
different scientific and technologic development, committed with
the society, with vocation for the internationalization, the
scientific and technological research, the generation in benefit of
the society and the sustainable development of the region,
according with a humanistic culture.

The bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computing
constitutes a new form to face the study and the
application of the electronic, combines the use of
information technology and telecommunications. In this
bachelor we form updated professionals, capable of
designing intelligent equipment that solves problems of
the surrounding with scientific basis: to put in progress
the electronic systems supported in the computing tools
and to develop projects for designing or manufacturing the
electronic equipment controlled with computing
resources, acting with respect to the biodiversity, plurality
of thinking and taking care of the environment.

the engineering : the efficient use of electric engineering to the
industrial development and application of mechanic engineering basis

process. It is an extended branch of the engineering that specifies the
knowledge of physical, mechanical and electrical principles , to the
analysis and design of electrical systems in low, medium and high
tension or in mechanic systems.

The Master´s
degree

The master´s degree program in Science and Technology
has a duration of two years, where the students will study a
total of nine subjects that will be part of their training,
appropriate to base their research work. In addition, the
student will have the confidence to give a biannual
seminar, in each one of which will present the progress
tending towards to the achievement of their objectives and
goals, everything under the scientific methodology and
the tutorship of their thesis director.

The Doctorate´s
degree in Science
and Technology

The Doctorate in Science and Technology that is offered in
Los Lagos University Center has a duration of three years,
in which the student will develop its inventive and
scientific ability to propose the innovative solutions of one
of several problems that are part of a line of a research
project . In this period, the student will study two subjects
that will be part of its scientific formation and will be
present each semester, the advances corresponding to its
work.
