This luxury venue was first built in <strong>the</strong> 17th century by <strong>the</strong> Portuguese Monarchy as<br />
a Fort to help protect <strong>Portugal</strong> from enemies!<br />
In 1894 it was purchased as a summer house by <strong>the</strong> Great Grandfa<strong>the</strong>r of <strong>the</strong><br />
current owners, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Estoril</strong> <strong>Sea</strong> became famous for its medicinal properties so<br />
aristocrats and royals flocked to <strong>the</strong> CaisCais area in search of luxury and comfort<br />
beside <strong>the</strong> sea and within easy reach of Lisbon.<br />
The owner used <strong>the</strong> best designers and artists around to transform <strong>the</strong> fort into a<br />
luxury home Tuscan in style, which first perfectly with its seaside setting and<br />
romantic views.<br />
In 1940 <strong>Estoril</strong> became an established tourist area following many Royals and<br />
nobleman flocking here in World War 2. Regarded as a safe haven for <strong>the</strong>se visitors<br />
who had access to so much wealth, investment was aplenty, and <strong>the</strong> town quickly<br />
grew and has now some of <strong>the</strong> best 5 star hotels on <strong>the</strong> coast in this area, <strong>the</strong><br />
biggest Casino in Europe, a famous race track, world class golf and gorgeous<br />
sheltered beaches.<br />
The venue is available for exclusive hire for 7 hours for your wedding, with<br />
minimum guest numbers of 100 on Friday and Saturday and from May to October.
