About this resort
Lesyin is a pretty Swiss
mountain village that boasts
a breath taking position
overlooking the beautiful Alpes
Vaudoise region of Switzerland
below. The village is relatively
compact, is welcoming and atop
the Berneuse ski station the
views are some of the best you
will find anywhere in the world
with remarkable 360 degree
views of the Alps.
The skiing, the snowfall and off-the slopes
Leysin is perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers, with over 100km of groomed slopes
easily accessible from the village centre. Many runs can easily be found by accessing the main
Berneuse ski station, where atop you will find the mountain opening up in front of you.
Although much of the skiing takes place below 2000m, Leysin has a microclimate that ensures
good snow cover on slopes throughout the season, from December until April most years. In
addition, snow makers cover most slopes giving additional backup.
Leysin is home to five colleges and international schools, so whilst the village is relatively compact
it is perfect for school ski trips as it is set up for school children of all ages.
