WHEN, we, the
grandchildren
were asked to
put together a
tribute in memory
of our cherished
Grandmother, whose mortal
remains lay before us now, we found it
a herculean task to accomplish, since
we could hardly settle on the specific
instances and occasions when
Grandma influenced our lives, because
we, as grandchildren, have enjoyed an
opportunity that many grandchildren in
other families did not have and will
never have in this day and age.
Our Grandmother was one of a
kind disposition due to her love, compassion
and the care that she showed
us throughout our formative ages to
this present day. In spite of her love
and compassion for her grandchildren,
she always insisted on the right thing
to be done and ensured that all of us
would derive the best out of the training
we received at her feet in order to
meet the turbulent future with extreme
hope and confidence.
For those of us who had the opportunity
to stay with Grandma for the
greater part of our formative ages, we
derived a lot of wise thoughts, wise
counsel and the art of appreciating the
phenomenon of creating opportunities
out of extreme difficulties when she
