We offer several lighted mirror configurations, each with its own distinct 

technology and features, so you can choose the style that best meets your

With a sleek ultra-slim profile, and directional 

angled lighting, this style provides brilliant 

facial illumination, creating fewer shadows 

and an impressively sharp reflection. The 

mirror with angled directional lighting is the

From mirrors made specifically for bathrooms, to vanishing mirrors for TVs, our mirror 

glass transcends all expectations.

SPECTRUM 

Best suited for bathrooms that are not all white or 

overly bright, Spectrum is excellent for makeup 

application and preparing for the day. Spectrum 

mirrors have a highly reflective mirror surface and 

provide a good TV image when turned on. When 

the TV is off, the screen area is camouflaged, 

leaving only a light gray image where the TV 

is located. For maximum TV clarity in all-white, 

or brightly lit bathrooms, see our B-Series 

technology below.

B-Series is a custom option that provides a 

crisp, clear viewing experience with reduced 

glare. B-Series mirrors have a highly reflective 

mirror surface and an impressively bright TV

DuraMirror, the only mirror engineered specifically for the bathroom, will help retain the beauty and extend the 

life of your mirror. Unlike inferior imported mirrors, our DuraMirror technology resists unsightly clouding, desilvering 

and black-spot corrosion caused by the high humidity and poor ventilation common in most bathrooms. DuraMirror 

is a premium feature that comes standard at no additional cost on all lighted mirrors, mirror TVs, mirrored cabinets, 

wardrobe mirrors, and fog-free mirrors from Electric Mirror. 

Iris® mirror, used on our Eclipse TV Cover (page 

108), offers stunning quality, reduced glare, and 

a TV viewing experience equal with a standard 

HDTV. The TV virtually vanishes when off, leaving 

only a subtle, faint outline of the TV perimeter that 

may be noticeable up close. Iris is the first mirror 

glass that allows TV viewing even in daylight 

environments. Iris mirror is slightly darker than a 

typical mirror, making it ideal for bedrooms and 

living rooms.

source reflects true colors, and is expressed in

a more accurate color reflection. While most 

LED-lighted mirrors have CRIs of 80 or lower, 

ours boast CRIs of 90+, creating the most 

natural-looking color available.

dimming technology, available in lighted mirrors, mirror TVs, mirrored cabinets, and 

wardrobe mirrors. 

KEEN DIMMING 

Keen provides you with a rich, intelligent, and ecofriendly 

dimming experience with zero hassle. Read 

the complete story on Keen’s features and benefits 

(page 26). 

AVA DIMMING 

Ava offers dimming that’s similar to Keen, plus the 

added ability to change the light colors from warm 

to cool — perfect for makeup application. Learn 

more about Ava (page 28). 

DIMMING OPTIONS FOR LIGHTED MIRRORS, 

MIRROR TVS, AND WARDROBE MIRRORS 

The standard dimming technology for these 

products is forward-phase dimming, which requires 

no special wiring other than a hot, neutral, and 

ground 120V or 240V hardwire connection. The 

recommended forward-phase dimming switch is the 

Leviton IPL06-10Z (not included). 

For simple, elegant touch-dimming in lighted mirrors, 

consider Ava, available with the Eternity (page 

36), Fusion (page 38) and Integrity (page 40), or 

Keen, available with the Silhouette (page 48). 

DIMMING OPTIONS FOR MIRRORED CABINETS 

The standard dimming control for the Ambiance 

Mirrored Cabinet (page 68) is 0-10V dimming. The 

recommended 0-10V dimming switch is the Leviton 

IP710-LFZ (not included). 

DIMMABLE LEDS 

Our lighted mirrors, mirror TVs, mirrored cabinets, 

and wardrobe mirrors come standard with dimmable 

LEDs that allow you to adjust the lighting level to 

your preference. Start your day off energized with full 

brightness, relax and wind down in the evening with a 

more subdued lighting ambiance, or choose anything 

in between. 

DIMMING CONTROLS 

Depending on the individual product, the dimmable 

LEDs can be turned on and off by either a standard 

on/off wall switch, a forward-phase dimming switch, 

or one of our on-mirror dimming technologies, such 

as Keen and Ava. The dimmable LEDs can be dimmed 

up and down with a forward-phase dimming switch, 

Keen or Ava. 

For dimming that is seamlessly integrated into the 

mirrored cabinet, consider the Ascension (page 

70), which comes standard with Keen dimming, and 

requires no additional wiring other than a hot, neutral 

and ground hardwire connection.

is dark, and the Eye-Sensitivity Adjustment technology automatically reduces the

Ava takes task lighting to a beautiful new level, letting you change the LED light color 

and brightness level to make precise makeup application possible. 

THE BEAUTY OF SIMPLE INTERACTION 

Tap to cycle through 2,700K, 4,600K, 6,500K, Night Glow, and Off. 

For each color level, touch and hold to gradually change 

light between 100% and 10% brightness. 

After one hour of non-use, Ava’s Energy Save Mode 

automatically dims the lights to 10% brightness.

Ava requires two wires plus a ground wire from an on/ 

off switch to the mirror. You can also use a two-wire 

plus ground wire unswitched connection to the mirror 

to control the lights directly through the on-mirror 

interface. Ava must be connected to earth ground 

in accordance with NEC code 250.20 (B). Improper 

ground can result in irregular function of the unit.

environment. The tunable LED lights let you select the color that 

best matches the environment you’re preparing for — outdoors, 

indoors, or evening. And with integrated dimming that allows you 

to adjust the brightness of the lights, Ava can create almost any 

lighting condition you can imagine. Ava is available as an upgrade 

in the Eternity (page 36), Fusion (page 38), and Integrity (page 

40) lighted mirrors.

cancer. When we first met Ava, we were struck by the 

strength and confidence in her beautiful smile. And 

because this innovative lighted mirror technology brings

after Ava just made sense. Every time a lighted mirror 

with Ava is purchased, a portion of the proceeds will be 

donated in Ava’s honor to help find a cure for cancer.

environments, the Northstar® Waterproof TV (pages 100 - 107) is as practical as it is beautiful. It’s designed to fit flush 

with, or over any tile surface, allowing unobtrusive integration into virtually any space. The Northstar incorporates 

built-in forward-facing surround sound speakers and boasts a convenient sleep timer.

for Lighted Mirrors 

WHAT IS THE BRIGHTEST LIGHTED MIRROR? 

The Radiance with perimeter lighting is the brightest 

mirror for task lighting due to the inward directional 

lighting that illuminates the face, followed closely by the 

larger Integrity lighted mirrors. The Silhouette emits a 

similar amount of light, but much of that light is directed 

towards the wall for wall glow, resulting in softer task 

lighting. 

CAN A LIGHTED MIRROR BE THE ONLY SOURCE OF 

LIGHT IN A BATHROOM? 

We recommend having overhead lighting in addition to 

lighted mirrors to create ideal conditions. 

CAN A LIGHTED MIRROR BE MOUNTED ALL THE WAY 

TO THE CEILING? 

No, the lighted mirrors require a 1" clearance at the top 

to allow space for the mirror to lift on and off of the 

metal chassis. 

CAN THE LIGHTED MIRRORS BE RECESSED FLUSH 

WITH THE WALL? 

Lighted mirrors are meant to be surface mounted. To 

recess an Eternity, Fusion, or Integrity lighted mirror, 

ensure that the 1 / 4" mirror is proud of the wall and just 

the chassis is partially recessed. Make sure to leave a 1" 

clearance above the glass so the mirror can lift up for 

installation and maintenance. 

HOW DO I MOUNT A LIGHTED MIRROR TO THE WALL? 

Lighted mirrors (other than the Radiance — see below) 

include two components: a metal chassis and a mirror 

face. To mount the chassis, use the provided mounting 

holes near the corners of the chassis to secure it to a 

structurally sound surface, such as wall studs. After the 

chassis is mounted and hardwired, hang the mirror face 

on the front of the chassis. 

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR POWER FOR A LIGHTED 

MIRROR? 

The lighted mirror comes ready to hardwire for 

120V-240V. The power whip should come through the 

back of the unit for the hardwire connection. A 36" 

long power whip can be prepared 12" down from the 

top of the mirror and centered from left to right. A 

quick disconnect is included so the wires can easily be 

connected. No J-Box is required. 

HOW DO I MOUNT THE RADIANCE TO THE WALL? 

First, recess the included driver into the wall behind the 

mirror and mount it to a structurally sound surface such 

as wall studs. Next, mount the included wall cleat to the 

wall. Finally, connect the wiring and hang the Radiance 

on the cleat. 

CAN THE LIGHTS BE REPLACED? 

The LEDs have a calculated L 70 

52,000-hour lifespan 

and will not likely need to be replaced for many years; 

however, they are designed to be easily replaceable, 

requiring only a Philips screwdriver. 

CAN A LIGHTED MIRROR BE MOUNTED IN ANY 

ORIENTATION? 

No, the lighted mirror must be installed in the orientation 

listed (width x height) as the mirror hangs on a chassis.

CAN ANY LIGHTED MIRROR BE UPGRADED WITH AVA? 

Ava SmartLook Technology was specifically created 

for makeup application and is available as an upgrade 

for the three models designed for task lighting with an 

enclosed chassis: Eternity, Fusion, and Integrity. Ava is 

not available for other models.

WHAT BRAND TV DO YOU USE? 

Electric Mirror is the recognized leader in mirror 

TV technology, in part because we design and 

manufacture our own 15.6" and 21.5" LED HDTVs for 

installation in hotel and residential bathrooms around 

the world. 

ARE SPEAKERS INCLUDED, AND CAN I USE MY 

OWN SPEAKERS? 

Yes, our TVs include integrated speakers. They’re also 

compatible with most third-party external speakers. 

DO I NEED A SEPARATE CABLE BOX AND REMOTE? 

A cable box for the TV is required for premium cable 

channels. The cable box will either need to have line 

of sight from the remote, or can be hidden in the 

vanity and used in tandem with a crystal IR receiver 

from the cable company. This will ensure that just the 

sleek IR receiver has line of sight from the remote. 

If the cable provider’s remote does not show the 

Electric Mirror brand TV codes, purchase a preprogrammed 

universal remote for $75, model #42815, 

or procure any universal learning remote and input 

the appropriate Electric Mirror power on, power off, 

volume up, and volume down codes. 

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON THE TV AND HOW 

DO I SERVICE THE TV? 

We offer an industry leading three-year warranty for 

the TV. Should an issue occur within the warranty 

period, we’ll either repair or replace the TV. The TV 

can easily be swapped from the TV bracket on the 

back of the mirror using a Philips screwdriver. 

HOW DO I MOUNT THE MIRROR TVS? 

First, recess a power outlet behind the mirror so the TV 

can plug in for power and any audio/video connections 

needed. Then, mount the metal wall cleat to the wall. 

Finally, hang the mirror TV on the wall cleat.

HOW CAN THE LIGHTED CABINETS BE DIMMED? 

The Ambiance can be dimmed with a 0-10V dimming 

switch. This requires a 120V unswitched hardwire 

connection to the cabinet, plus two sets of two wires 

from the cabinet to a 0-10V dimming switch (Leviton 

IP710-LFZ or equivalent; not provided). Multiple 

Ambiance cabinets cannot be controlled by the same 

switch, as each requires an independent circuit. 

The Ascension includes Keen technology for 

dimming the lights, see page 26. 

HOW DOES THE DEFOGGER WORK? 

The Ambiance and Ascension include a defogger. 

When the lights are on, the defogger will turn on, 

keeping an area of the mirror from fogging up.

MIRRORED CABINETS? 

Bring a 120V unswitched hardwire connection through

on one side and a standard mirror reflection on the 

other. All other models only have the magnified 

mirror on one side, with a back side of finished metal. 

DO THE WALL MOUNTED MAKEUP MIRRORS HAVE 

AN ARTICULATED ARM? 

Yes, they have an articulating arm that can fold in 

towards itself, maximizing space when not in use.

WHERE CAN A WARDROBE MIRROR BE 

INSTALLED? 

A wardrobe mirror can be installed in just about any 

room of the house. The typical locations include 

the bedroom, walk-in closet, hallway, and even the 

bathroom as long as it is at least 3' away from the 

tub or shower. 

CAN WARDROBE MIRRORS BE RECESSED 

FLUSH WITH THE WALL? 

Wardrobe mirrors are meant to be surface 

mounted. To recess a wardrobe mirror, ensure 

that the 1 / 4" mirror is proud of the wall and just 

the chassis is partially recessed. Make sure to 

leave a 1" clearance above the glass so the mirror 

can lift up for installation and maintenance. 

HOW DO I MOUNT THE WARDROBE MIRROR TO 

THE WALL? 

Wardrobe mirrors include two components: a metal 

chassis and a mirror face. To mount the chassis, 

use the provided mounting holes near the corners 

of the chassis to secure it to a structurally sound 

surface, such as wall studs. After the chassis is 

mounted and hardwired, hang the mirror face to the 

front of the chassis. 

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR POWER? 

The wardrobe mirror comes ready to hardwire 

for 120V-240V. The power whip should come 

through the back of the unit for the hardwire 

connection. A 36" long power whip can be 

prepared 12" down from the top of the mirror 

and centered from left to right. A quick 

disconnect is included so the wires can easily be 

connected. No J-Box is required. 

CAN A WARDROBE MIRROR BE MOUNTED IN ANY 

ORIENTATION? 

No, the wardrobe mirror must be installed in the 

orientation listed (width x height) as the mirror 

hangs on a chassis. 

CAN THE TOP OF A WARDROBE MIRROR BE 

MOUNTED ALL THE WAY TO THE CEILING? 

No, wardrobe mirrors require a 1" clearance at the 

top to allow space for the mirror to lift on and off of 

the metal chassis. 

CAN THE LIGHTS BE DIMMED? 

Wardrobe mirrors with Ava can be dimmed 

by touching and holding the capacitive touch 

control located on the mirror face. Wardrobe 

mirrors without Ava can be dimmed with a 

forward-phase dimming switch (not included). 

CAN THE LIGHTS BE REPLACED? 

The LEDs have a calculated L 70 

52,000-hour 

lifespan and will not likely need to be replaced 

for many years; however, they are designed to 

be easily replaceable, requiring only a Philips 

screwdriver.

DOES THE ENTIRE MIRROR REMAIN FOG-FREE? 

While the majority of the mirror will not fog up, 

expect to see fog form around the perimeter of the 

mirror. 

CAN I TURN THE FOG-FREE MIRROR ON AT THE 

SAME TIME AS THE SHOWER? 

We recommend a five-minute warm-up period. 

These are low-voltage units so they are safe in the 

shower, but that means they need some time to 

warm up before the shower is turned on. 

WHAT ADHESIVE DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR 

INSTALLING THE AQUA FOG-FREE MIRROR? 

For the non-lighted Aqua, the mirror defogger is 

to be adhered to the wall using a mirror mastic or 

tile adhesive around the back edges of the mirror. 

Once adhered to the wall, make sure to silicone 

around the perimeter. 


CAN A FOG-FREE MIRROR BE INSTALLED IN A 

STEAM SHOWER? 

Yes, however, the mirror is more likely to fog up due 

to intense steam. This product is better suited for a 

typical shower. 

HOW IS IT WIRED AND WHERE SHOULD THE 

TRANSFORMER BE PLACED? 

These mirrors come ready to hardwire for 120V. 

They include a transformer and 25' low-voltage 

cable. The transformer should be installed in a 

dry, accessible location like a closet, and can be 

controlled by a light switch in the bathroom or a 

timer. 

CAN FOG-FREE MIRRORS BE SURFACE MOUNTED 

TO DRY WALL? 

The Acclaim must be recessed into the wall, and 

the Aqua should adhere to the wall and be flush 

with the tile or marble surface. To protect the mirror 

edges from damage over time, it is important to 

seal around the edges by applying a silicon sealant 

to the joint between the mirror and the tile. Do not 

install on top of the tile surface, leaving the mirror 

edges exposed.

CAN THE BATHROOM TV BE INSTALLED IN 

A SHOWER? 

Yes, the TV is rated to be waterproof against 

jets of water such as from a shower, but is not 

designed to be immersed in a bathtub. 

HOW IS THE WATERPROOF TV INSTALLED? 

First, create a rough-in for the in-wall box. Next, 

run the power and video cables to the rough-in 

opening. Now, mount the in-wall box in the roughin 

opening. Finally, set the TV into the in-wall box. 

CAN THIS TV BE USED OUTDOORS WITH A 

HOT TUB? 

No, but it could be used next to an indoor hot 

tub. The screen isn’t designed for bright outdoor 

environments. 


CAN I HOOK THIS TV UP TO MY SPEAKERS? 

Yes, the back of the TV has two convenient ports 

for RCA connectors. 

HOW CLOSE CAN THE TV BE TO MY BATHTUB? 

The TV can be mounted above or next to the 

bathtub, but not inside it. The AC connection

21), which is ideally suited for bathrooms that are 

not all white or brightly lit. Our B-Series mirror 

glass (page 21) is also available as a custom option 

and works well in bright or all white bathrooms. Call

The best cleaner for mirrors is 

clean, warm water used with a 

soft, lint-free cloth. If using a 

commercial glass or mirror cleaner, 

be sure to use one that does 

not contain ammonia or vinegar, 

as that can cause corrosion or 

desilvering. 

Avoid spraying water or cleaner 

directly onto the mirror. Spraying 

can cause liquid to pool at the 

bottom edge of the mirror, 

increasing the chance the mirror 

could corrode. Instead, apply the 

cleaner to a soft cloth and then 

wipe the mirror. 

Be sure to dry all joints and 

edges thoroughly and be careful 

not to allow water or cleaner 

to pool along the edges of the 

mirror. Wet edges over time is the 

number one cause for corrosion 

and desilvering at the lower edge 

of a mirror.

Warranty 

We’re proud of the quality, innovation, and performance in our products, and we’ll 

stand behind every one of them with our unmatched, world-class warranty. 

Electric Mirror, LLC warrants to the original purchaser that it will, at its option, repair, exchange, or make appropriate 

adjustments to its mirror product(s) shown to have defects in materials or workmanship that inhibit the functionality of 

the product, which are reported to Electric Mirror in writing within the warranty period. 

This limited warranty covers defects and general workmanship for the following Electric Mirror components and 

technology products: Seven years for LEDs and all mirror glass except Iris® glass; five years for the mirror chassis; three 

years for Ava and Keen technology, Iris glass, LED drivers, electrical components, metal frames, and 15.6" and 21.5" 

TVs; two years for the Northstar® bathroom and kitchen waterproof TVs; one year for all makeup mirrors. All time periods 

are from the date of delivery. 

If stored prior to installation, mirrors must be kept in a dry environment between 45 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Electric 

Mirror products must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician and operated under suitable environmental conditions 

and in accordance with the latest National Electrical Code. Electric Mirror products must also be properly conditioned 

prior to use, and may not be cleaned with corrosive or ammonia based cleaning products or this warranty is void. 

Electric Mirror does not warrant its electronic components to be compatible with future variations and technology 

standards, nor does it warrant reverse compatibility of software. 

This warranty will not apply in the event of conditions demonstrating abnormal use or stress, such as operating 

temperatures in excess of maximum rated temperatures or abnormally high humidity, under/over voltage conditions, 

excessive switching cycles or operating hours, dirty or cracked sockets, improper grounding, improper LED or driver 

installation, or what is considered normal wear and tear. 

This warranty is void in the event the product is damaged in transit, or if damage or failure is caused by abuse, misuse, 

abnormal usage, storage of products in an improper environment, faulty installation, failure to follow installation 

instructions, damage in an accident, improper maintenance, or any repair. After the expiration of the warranty period, 

Electric Mirror has no further obligation under any warranty, either expressed or implied, including the implied warranty 

of merchantability. 

Electric Mirror will not, under any circumstance, whether as a result of breach of contract or warranty, tort, or otherwise, 

be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or revenues or any other costs or 

damages. Any liability against Electric Mirror under any implied warranty, including the warranty of merchantability, is 

expressly limited to the terms of this warranty and shall under no circumstances exceed the price paid to Electric Mirror 

for the product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion 

or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. This warranty 

grants specific legal rights. Other rights, which vary from state to state, may also be applicable. 

Electric Mirror reserves the right to examine all failed product components and determine, in its sole discretion, 

whether any product components are defective and covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover removal 

or installation costs of products. If Electric Mirror purchases TV components from other manufacturers for use in its 

products, then the TV manufacturer’s warranty coverage and period shall apply for those TV components, even if this 

period is less than three years. This limited warranty shall not extend to anyone other than the original purchaser of the 

Electric Mirror product.
