After the fall in 2015, in 2016 prices went up again; despite that, inflation was very low in the past four years. In 2016 the prices of goods and services in the group communication grew the most (by 2.9%). In the group clothing and footwear they decreased by 2.9%. Real estate prices increased by 6.9% over 2015. The prices of existing family houses grew the most (by 8.2%) and the prices of newly built family houses the least (by 0.6%). The average annual inflation in the EU-28 was between –1.3% in Bulgaria and 1.8% in Belgium. In Slovenia it was –0.2% and in the EU-28 0.3%. 32
