Molly Maid benefits domestic violence victims
Submitted by Molly Maid
Each December, Molly
Maid of Highland Park
ensures the child victims
of domestic violence have
something to open on
Christmas morning. December
2017 was the 21st
year of participating in the
national anti-domestic violence
program by the Ms.
Molly Foundation, according
to a press release from
Molly Maid.
Nationwide, each Molly
Maid office donates a portion
of each house cleaning
to domestic violence relief
charities in the area around
that franchise, according to
the press release.
The Highland Park franchise
chose A Safe Space,
a shelter with locations in
Zion and Waukegan, according
to the press release.
The shelter sets up a
“Christmas store” that allows
mothers to pick out
toys for their kids, according
to the press release.
“All too often, families
impacted by domestic violence
are forced to flee their
homes with nothing but the
clothes they are wearing,”
Robert Dillon, owner of
Molly Maid, said.
Since its founding, Molly
Maid has raised more
than $3,000,000 and have
continued to support hundreds
of shelters across
North America.
