According to the German General Plant Safety Regulation each business company has to ensure that all 

ladders, folding steps and mobile scaffolds in use are regularly inspected by a qualified person regarding its 

duly condition. 

During our practice oriented seminars the participants receive the required knowledge to conduct the examination 

and document it according to legal regulations. 

These seminars are available as 1-day and 2-day seminars and cover the following topics: 

+ + Meaning of a "qualified person" within a company (as specified according to the Technical Regulations for 

General Plant Safety, TRBS) 

+ + Standards and regulations 

+ + Definition of ladders, folding steps and mobile scaffolds 

+ + Safe use of ladders, folding steps and mobile scaffolds 

+ + Inspection procedures and documentation 

+ + How to proceed with defective ladders, folding steps and mobile scaffolds 

+ + Test and award of a certificate 

Furthermore all participants receive a detailed training and inspection documention. 

All of our seminars are recognised by the registered 

Association of German Engineers for Safety (VDSI e.V.) 

and the paritcipants will receive two credits points 

for the attendance.

) Professional on-site safety inspections, e.g. for ladders and folding steps 

According to the German General Plant Safety Regulation as well as the guideline BGI 694 

all ladders and folding steps have to be inspected regularly by a qualified person. 

Our on-site safety inspection includes the following services: 

+ + Inspection of your ladders and folding steps in compliance with the latest relevant 

legal regulations

+ + Preparing the required inspection and documentation and attaching the necessary 

test badge to the ladder 

+ + Performance of minor repairs 

+ + Providing advice concerning necessary repairs and spare parts 

c) User and product training 

Our user and product training is practice oriented and developed to share 

knowledge about skills and understanding which are necessary to set up 

and remove various products safely and completely. 

It can be tailor-made regarding specific products (e.g. for on-site used 

scaffolds or special constructions) or regarding different areas of ascending 

applications. 

d) Providing product information and documentation 

We will provide all relevant product-related information and documentation (e.g. set-up and use of instructions, 

certificates, inspection records and test documents). These documents can be useful for preparing operation instructions 

and for risk assessment within your company.

Fixed ladders are perfect to provide safe and permanent access to 

buildings, equipment or machines also at great heights, e.g.: 

+ Ascent for inspection and maintenance work on buildings, 

machines and shelf systems 

+ Emergency exits on buildings 

A modular construction system has been developed to set up customised 

vertical ladders quickly and easily. Even intricated multisection 

ladders can be assembled with a time saving up to 30%. The 

extensive range of accessories offers solutions for a wide range of 

different requirements given by on-site circumstances.

Shaft ladders 

Our shaft ladders are available in two different widths and are made 

of various materials depending on intended use, e.g.: 

+ Providing safe access to sewage treatment plants, drinking water 

supply plants, waste disposal sites, retention basins and other 

kind of pits for inspection and maintenance purposes. 

Our fixed ladder system includes a number of different access aids 

for safely step-onto and step-off the ladders. 

Shaft ladders have to be equipped with a holding device at its exists,

+ + Ladders with a climbing height of more than 5 m have to be fitted with back protection brackets if it is structurally possible 

+ + If the climbing height exceeds 10 m, the ladder sections have to be horizontally offset from adjacent sections. Single ladder sections should

+ + If it is not possible to offset the ladder sections because of constructural reasons, the ladder can be assembled as a single section

STABILO ® 

Professional 

Mobile scaffold system 

STABILO mobile scaffolds are developed for professional use. They are quickly and safely 

assembled and meet all the performance requirements of the European standard DIN EN 1004 

for mobile scaffolds. All Stabilo mobile scaffolds are TÜV Süd-approved and certified. 

Stabilo mobile scaffolds are available in a wide range of different types developed to meet 

the specific requirements of different on-site circumstances. 

The Stabilo mobile scaffold system includes the 

following types: 

+ + Working heights (available in one-metre spacings): 

3.30 m–14.00 m 

+ + 2 different field widths: 0.75 m and 1.50 m 

+ + 3 different field lengths: 2.00 m, 2.50 m and 3.00 m 

All Stabilo mobile scaffolds are made of aluminium and 

are extremely lightweight and easy to handle. 

Based on the German Plant Regulation we advice to 

choose the accident approved assembly. Two additional 

platforms are build-in in spacings of two metres and are 

equipped with an all-around two-part side protection. 

According to DIN EN 1004 platforms and handrails are 

required for standing heights of 4 m and above in 

spacings of 4 m. 

The patented latching device 

provides the possibility of an 

easy hook-in and hook-off of the 

rail braces and diagonal braces 

by a single person without the 

need of tools. 

Further more it can be changed 

from a form-fit to a force-fit connection 

and is therefore responsible 

for the extremely high total 

stability of the scaffold. 

An additional advantage of the 

force-fit and form-fit connections 

is the prevention of an unintentional 

hook-off of for example the 

rail braces which is effective right 

after it was inserted. 

The unitary latching mechanism 

for the platform, the diagonal 

braces and the rail braces 

symplify the assembly 

considerably.

Height-adjustable platforms: 

The platforms can be easily fitted between any of the diagonal 

braces and can be height-adjusted in 25 cm spacings without any 

changes to the scaffold itself.

STABILO mobile scaffolds are available in three different field lengths (2.00 m, 2.50 m and 3.00 m) hence the mobile scaffolds are suitable 

for a wide range of different uses. STABILO series 100, 500, 1000 and 5000 are available in field lengths up to 3.00 m. STABILO series 10 

and 50 are available in field lengths up tp 2.50 m. 

STABILO mobile scaffolds are available in two different field widths. STABILO series 10, 100 and 1000 have a field width of 0.75 m. STABILO

Light metal stairs and crossovers 

Produced in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14122 

Recommended by the DIN EN ISO 14122 and the German Statuatory Accident Insurance Body: 

For safety reasons stairs with a work inclination of 45° should be preferred. Stairs with a work inclination of 60° 

should only be used if on-site circumstances do not permit otherwise. 

On request we supply stairs with a means of access to machineries. These stairs have to be equipped with hand rails 

on both sides. The work inclination can be either 45° or 75°. 

Our aluminium lightweight stairs are supplied with one hand rail as a standard equipment (Industrial stairs have to 

have at least one hand rail. Stairs with a width of 1200 mm and more have to be equipped with two hand rails). On 

request a second hand rail is available for extra charge. 

Standard characteristics 

+ + Stair width 600 / 800 / 1000 mm (special widths are available on request) 

+ + Depth of steps: 225 mm for work inclination 45° and 175 mm for 60° (aluminium corrugated) 

+ + All of our stairs are equipped with aluminium corrugated steps (aluminium perforated, aluminium grating, 

steel perforated and steel grating steps are available on request) 

+ + All rails are made of a round tube Ø 40 mm 

+ + Railing on stairs with a work inclination of 45° are fitted with a knee rail 

+ + All stairs are supplied in pre-assembled modules 

i Light metal alumiunium stairs are not in accordance with DIN 1055 and 

DIN 18065 and therefore are not approved for residential buldings. 

Our stairs and crossovers are available with standard work 

inclinations of 45° and 60°. (Other work inclinations are available 

on request – consult us for advice). 

In accordance with DIN EN ISO 14122 stairs and crossovers with 

a vertical height of 500 mm and more and a gap at the side of 

> 200 mm have to be equipped with a second hand rail.

At the beginning of each project an on-site examination of the circumstances is performed. KRAUSE’s technicians 

gain an overview of the situation together with the customer. The face to face meetings are the key to our 

success in developing a safe, cost-effective and efficient solution that meets all of your requirements. Hence the 

on-site analysis is so important to KRAUSE. 

This analysis is the base to develope a tailor-made construction which then will be produced on our modern production 

system at our production site in Germany. 

To finish up the project we deliver and if required install the device on-site and perform the acceptance.

+ + Step depth: 225 mm for work inclination 45° and 175 mm for 60°

+ + Stairs with other work inclinations or step widths are available on

For safety reasons and based on DIN 14122-4 stairs with a work 

inclination of 45° should be preferred. Stairs with a work inclination 

of 60° should only be used if on-site circumstances do not permit 

otherwise
