The St. Mary’s Springs Academy Foundation, has the fiduciary
responsibility for managing the school’s nearly $6 million
endowment. Endowment gifts are some of the most effective
and far-reaching, as they live on in perpetuity and continually
support the students, families and staff of SMSA. Not only do
these funds play a critical role in the financial stability of SMSA,
but they are used to support some of the most important
needs of the institution year after year such as professional
development, tuition assistance and budget relief. The SMSA
Foundation manages three important endowment funds on
behalf of St. Mary’s Springs Academy, including:
Tuition Assistance: This fund supports our efforts to provide
financial aid to families who otherwise might not be able to
afford a Catholic-enriched education. An average of $300,000
is distributed annually to families needing support, making an
education at SMSA accessible for all.
FOUNDATION
Professional Development: This fund supports the
ongoing growth and development of its faculty and staff.
This fund helps support the annual expenses for teachers
to attend workshops/conferences, take part in continuing
education, and develop specialized skills.
System Operations: This fund supports the annual
operations of SMSA, by bridging the gap in tuition/fees
received and the actual cost to operate the System. This
fund is essential in that it supports the financial stability
of the institution, without having to rely solely on tuition
from our families.
"
here is something about making a gift that you know will continue to have an
T impact on the lives of students and families, long after your lifetime. We ‘planted
the seeds’ of our endowment gift years ago, knowing that it takes a community to
raise our children. It’s our responsibility to ensure that the families of today and
tomorrow are afforded the same opportunity to be a part of this great community.
By creating this fund, we know that the SMSA legacy will live on forever!
