Our new FIA homologated FX G-TEC2400R3 

system is a revolution in terms of Standard 

8865 approved fire suppression. 

The system has been developed to meet the 

very demanding and comprehensive new 

tests for Standard 8865 2015. This is part of 

the FIA’s new program in making motorsport 

a much safer sport for all who take part.

Why Is It Different? 

There are already Standard 8865 products on the 

market but we believe we have created a unique 

and highly effective take on the current offering. 

The FX G-TEC2400R3 is a single cylinder system, 

making it smaller and lighter without reducing the 

suppression effect. Our FX G-TEC2400R3 carries 

one suppressant for both engine and cockpit. 

Our FX G-TEC gas is highly efficient at suppressing the 

fire very quickly whilst at the same time decreasing the 

temperature of the fire to prevent the risk of re-ignition. 

Please note: This product is only for use with a vehicle cockpit volume from 

1.59m 3 to 2.34m 3 . For use with Class 1 - Petrol, Class II - Petrol + up to 30% 

Ethanol, and Class V - E85. Products for alternative cockpit sizes have and 

are being developed - please contact us for further details.

Design & Technologies 

Our research, development and innovative ideas have led 

FEV on to the next generation of fire suppression products. 

Our FX G-TEC (gas) products perform better than ever 

before. We have developed our own unique flange design 

which is patented, and together with new nozzle designs, 

has given FEV a unique range of highly effective products to 

offer our customers. We have also designed and developed 

+ADS, the first internal bladder system designed to contain 

the fire suppressant. This Advanced Discharge System 

development has led to a smaller and lighter range of fire 

extinguishers, and we can now offer in car systems from as 

small as 1.5kg gas and 3.5ltr in the AFFF range. 


FX G-TEC 

The most efficient and technologically advanced 

plumbed in and hand held systems currently available 

in motorsport, as supplied to major winning teams 

in F1, WRC and Le Mans. Especially specified by 

FEV for motorsport application, FX G-TEC is CFC 

free and non-toxic. Our tests show that weight for 

weight, FX G-TEC is at least 50% more efficient at 

killing fires than AFFF. We have homologated the 

FX G-TEC +ADS plumbed systems at the following 

weights: 1.5kg, 1.6kg, 1.7kg, 1.8kg, 2.0kg, 3.0kg 

and 3.3kg. All are suitable for all types of car. The 

saving in weight over equivalent AFFF systems is up 

to 2kg. Operating pressure is approximately 1.5 bar 

less than conventional systems. FX G-TEC is also 

available in custom fit bottles (aluminium and carbon). 

FES3 AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) 

FES3 is the name for our advanced AFFF 

extinguishant. We offer the most efficient, 

technologically advanced and most compact 

AFFF products currently homologated by the FIA 

and available in motorsport, as supplied to major 

winning teams. FES3 AFFF is CFC free, non-toxic 

with options for electric, and cable discharge 

operation. FES3 systems are also available in custom 

fit bottles in aluminium. A full range of hand held units 

are available to suit all requirements and budgets. 

We have homologated the FES3 AFFF plumbed in 

systems at two capacities - 3.5 and 4.0 litres. Both 

are suitable for all types of car. 

+ADS (Advanced Discharge System) 

Our unique system that comprises a rubber bladder 

containing the extinguishant inside the bottle. 

When activated the bottle is pressurised and the 

extinguishant is forced out of the bladder. The flow 

rate is constant throughout discharge and all 

extinguishant is expelled whatever the attitude of 

the car. 

Remote Charge 

A separate aluminium capsule with detonator and 

replaceable CO 2 

cartridge. When activated the gas 

pressurises the plumbed extinguisher bottle (remote 

discharge systems only).

Foam 

The foam forms a flame smothering seal over the surface of 

the burning material which prevents re-ignition. 5 year guarantee, 

corrosion resistant finish, internal polyethylene lining. 

3 Litre foam extinguisher carries superior fire ratings of 13A 89B for Class A 

fires (wood and paper etc.) and Class B fires (flammable liquids). 

6 Litre foam extinguisher is the most popular foam extinguisher in the range. With the 

21A and 144B ratings, this extinguisher is ideal for use on wood/paper fire (Class A) 

and also petrol and volatile liquids (Class B) as the foam forms a flame smothering

9 Litre foam extinguisher is the largest portable foam extinguisher in the range. This product

Service & Repair 

All FEV plumbed in car fire extinguishers and hand held fire extinguishers 

need to be serviced every two years. 

We service all FEV products in-house and aim to carry out your service 

within 48 hours, although during busy periods, this may take a little longer. 

All parts used in the manufacture of our fire extinguishers are unique to FEV 

products, FEV fire extinguishers should only be serviced or refilled by FEV 

or one of their approved service agents.
