Sunny Sidmouth
At the Bedford Hotel, Esplanade, Sidmouth
Sidmouth is a quiet, dignified town which has retained its old fashioned charm through the years.
With its deep red cliffs, blue sea and green fields, it remains one of Devon’s most delightful all year round
resorts. This pretty little resort has much to offer including a pleasant waterfront, beautiful riverside
gardens and a small undercover shopping centre. It is also home to the Pavilion Theatre.
THE BEDFORD HOTEL - As it is known now, was in fact one of the first Regency houses to be built on the
seafront in Sidmouth. It was originally Wallis’s Marine Library and Reading Rooms. The hotel is located
between the beach and the old town. All 40 bedrooms are tastefully decorated and modernised whilst
keeping their traditional feel. They are all en-suite and many offer breath-taking sea views over Lyme Bay
and the Jurassic Coast. We have relaxing lounge and dining areas for you to enjoy the best local produce
Devon has to offer in comfortable surroundings.
