will reject the Supreme<br />

Court verdict to enforce<br />

lifetime disqualification on<br />

SHC seeks<br />

commissioner’s reply<br />

in milk price case<br />

KARACHI: The Sindh<br />

High Court (SHC) on<br />

Thursday sought comments<br />

from Karachi commissioner<br />

and districts' deputy commissioners<br />

on a petition seeking<br />

regulation of dairy products’<br />

prices.<br />

A two-judge SHC bench<br />

was hearing the petition filed<br />

by Muhammad Imran<br />

Shehzad, a civil rights campaigner,<br />

who had moved the<br />

court for reduction of rates of<br />

dairy products and formation<br />

of a taskforce to regulate<br />

their prices.<br />

The petitioner informed<br />

authorities concerned were<br />

unable to ensure selling of<br />

milk at administration’s fixed<br />

prices, adding that dairy<br />

products were not being sold<br />

under Price Control and<br />

Prevention Profiteering and<br />

Hoarding Act, 1977.<br />
