<strong>New</strong> <strong>Kids</strong> on the Block, Curious Hat Launch Their First App
For iPhone and iPad
First Product, Color Vacuum offers children a fun and innovative way to learn about colors through
observation and exploration
San Francisco, CA, May 16th, 2012 ― Curious Hat Inc. (www.curioushat.com), a new provider of
interactive and educational mobile applications, today announced the release of its very first product, Color
Vacuum. Specifically designed for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad devices, Color Vacuum is an engaging app,
which offers children a fun and innovative way to learn about the theory of colors through the observation of
their surrounding environment.
Curious Hat is the brainchild of Luca Prasso and Erwan Maigret, both of whom are parents and seasoned
professionals from the feature film production and software development industries. Prasso and Maigret’s
past film work, includes DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Shrek’ film series, ‘Madagascar’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda’. The
Curious Hat mission is to create interactive and educational mobile applications that will stimulate children
to interact with the real world, as well as fostering shared adult-­‐child experiences.
Curious Hat’s fictitious muse is Professor Vapori, a remarkable visionary from the late 19th century, who
invented unique and wondrous machines that encouraged people to explore the world around them. Curious
Hat has turned one of Vapori’s most ingenious and recently discovered machines, the Color Vacuum, into a
mobile application that teaches the color components of the light spectrum. This interactive and educational
application turns an Apple device’s camera into a vacuum that sucks in colors from the real-­‐world
environment and helps kids to observe, capture, analyze, catalog and play with colors.
