Opening Message: Another year has passed. It was the 5th
consecutive year that we won an PEI award! It was the year we
made 4 successful exits! It was the year the year we made 3 new
investments! It was the year we welcomed 8 new members to the
family!

among many other accomplishments! What a lot we have been
through and done together. 2018 has come. We are Mekong
Capital, we are our core values, we are our Vision and we are the
authors and creators of our future. And that, gives us the power and
confidence to achieve unpredictable results in the year ahead.

Applying Jeromosity and
Springthrough at NTL to cause
breakthroughs.
Looking back, I still remember
my first encounter with the NTL’s
leadership team back in October.
It was a déjà vu feeling, with lots
of flash back from Traphaco. The
leadership team of NTL and
Traphaco shared many
similarities. They are from the
same generation, educated
locally in Vietnam, speak very
little English and have a very “old
school” style of leadership/

communication. It was relatively
easy to generalize.

However, I have decided that they should be given a fair
chance/ a fresh start to demonstrate their capabilities. I
started on a blank page and see them as our partners
(many of them also own shares in NTL) and that we all
have a common goal of helping the company to realize
its Vision. 4Q2017 was an eventful quarter at NTL. The
company delivered great breakthroughs in the key VDI
elements of Drivers and Annual Milestones (bottom-up
budget for 2018 with significant inputs from individual
branch managers), KPIs (KPIs for 2018 fully cascaded).

MY LIFE

Before visiting Thai Plum, I had only known the village through
M. Giang about M. Giang’s own experience that has changed her
life. M. Giang’s Before was a person suffering from personal
issues. M. Giang’s After is a fresh and energetic person. That
made me feel curious. The first step into the village was an
impression that people here were free of stresses and anxieties.
They looked different from the rest of the world. I asked why life
here is abstemious, but people here seem to be worry-free and
they seem to enjoy each and every moment in life.

During the two-day stay, I have spent considerable time thinking
about my life. And I realized that what I thought before about
the state of “be-here-now” was wrong. I thought that it was
impossible to achieve the state of “be-here-now”. But at Thai
Plum, not just the monks but also the guests, and even animals
here seem to show me that “be-here-now” state is real and very
possible to achieve.
Since the day I left the village, each time I have negative feelings,
I immediately practice “singing-meditation”. It works. Every time
I practice “singing-mediation”, I feel relieved from stresses and
anxiety and from negative feelings. Now, my new-me says that
we can change everything. Life is a flow. Life is simple. And I will
go with the flow!

Drawing is not about thinking to
draw, but about drawing using
your feeling and senses.

This experience made me feel stress-free and limitless
boundary. I do not have to try to draw beautifully. That
opens space for me to draw freely and creatively. The coach
and the way the coach coaches remind me of the beings of
Six Forces. It is “Now Lover”. This was the first time in a
space with music, and all feelings come from music, I
imagined many things while listening to the music. Also I
saw many of my colleagues’ feelings through their drawings.
From that, I understand myself better and also my
colleagues better. Like the case of M. Giang, I always saw M.
Giang as an energetic and talkative person. But now I saw
another dimension of Minh Giang – a person who is deep. I
hope we will have more workshops like this one that would
bring new perspective and interesting experience to
participants.
