INSPIRATION
map-covered wooden box. Our
card box was an old globe that we
repurposed into a box and our guest
book was an assortment of Disney
artwork postcards for our guests to
write on. Our cake was dusted with
glitter and had the words, “And they
lived happily ever after” written on it; it
was topped with a silver glitter cutout
of a couple next to a globe.
Another detail of our wedding was my
custom dress. I am a plus-sized, tall
bride and had a terrible time finding
a dress to fit me. I was lucky enough
to find an incredible designer, JC, the
owner of Chevillon, who worked with
me to create the most beautiful dress
I ever could have dreamed of. He
created a princess-style dress with
delicate silk sleeves and a full, flowing
skirt covered in over 5,000 crystals
and gave me crystal-covered shoes
to match.
Kyle Deeley and now Kyle Deeley-
Hardgrave (after the wedding, he
hyphenated his name with my last
name), and I got married on a yacht
out of Newport Harbor on beautiful
March 26, 2017.
