All-in-One Meeting & Classroom Systems
The TechLogix CAV System is affordable, easy to install, intuitive to use and powerfully effective
as a presentation and room audio-visual signal management tool. The system includes both
audio and video routing and control, and only requires a single twisted pair cable to connect all
of the components. Best of all, a simple wall plate controller provides users with volume control
and source selection, and automatic modes of operation ensure the system is easy enough for
anyone to operate. The single CAV package replaces hours of design and installation work, and
the all-in system price is unrivaled in the education and corporate AV technology markets.
Active Optical Cables for Educational, Commercial
and Residential Audio-Video Installations
Active optical cables (AOCs) are a relatively new option in the
data transmission world. Their basic purpose is to combine the very high data
transfer rates, long transmission distance,
reduced weight, and low EMI of optical ber with the simplicity of a copper
cable. AOCs allow the use of optical ber technology without any special user
training. They plug into the standard electrical ports of source and sync devices,
including HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB
Detachable HDMI Optical Interface is perfect for
those conduit pull jobs where a moulded
connector simply will not t through the pipe.
Rather than worry about how this is going to be
achieved and being concerned with terminating
ber, detach the Micro HDMI connector from its
housing and send it through the pipe. Once on the
other side, connect it up again for full 1080p
support up to 100m.
Chromis Fiberoptics is the leading provider of Graded-Index
Polymer Optical Fiber (GI-POF) Active Optical Cables (AOCs) for
highspeed data transmission in digital signage, commercial and
residential audio/video, mobile computing, consumer electronics and
data center applications. An AOC has the same electrical inputs as a
traditional copper cable, but uses optical ber for high-speed data
transmission “between the connectors”. The connectors perform
electrical-to-optical conversion at the source and then reverse it at
the destination.
Chromis state-of-the-art GigaPOF active optical cables support the
continuing evolution of education technology in K-12, higher
education, distance learning and corporate training centre
environments.
Commercial A/V design/build integrators and installers now have a
simple and inexpensive way to connect high-denition video sources
®
to displays over longer distances. Chromis patented GigaPOF
technology enables high-speed video signal transmission in plugand-play
cables at distances up to 100 metres (328 feet).
Active components in the connectors perform electrical-to-optical
signal conversion, drawing power from the same standard interface
ports as copper cables – no external power connectors, network
cabling or video extenders needed.
