<strong>Surrey</strong> <strong>Storm</strong> embark on the 2018 season with 8 new squad members and big ambitions for a<br />

successful term in the Vitality Netball Superleague.<br />

Netball is the largest female team sport and the biggest participation sport in the United Kingdom<br />

with over 1.4 million women and girls playing and competing on a regular basis.<br />

Coached by Tania Hoffman who has 30 years’ experience as player and coach, the <strong>Storm</strong> season<br />

starts away from home at Wasps on Saturday 10 th February.<br />

Show your support for the team by sponsoring a player for the season and be part of <strong>Storm</strong>’s<br />

journey to the final game of the season at the Copper Box on 23rd June 2018.

Ever present in the <strong>Storm</strong> squad since the start of the 2011 Superleague<br />

season, Katy Holland has one of the top all-time appearance records for <strong>Storm</strong><br />

and was vital in <strong>Storm</strong>’s back-to-back title winning campaigns.<br />

A <strong>Storm</strong> NPL youth graduate, Katy has worked her way through the ranks to<br />

become a real favourite on and off court and will this season take the role of<br />

Team Captain thanks to her unfaltering commitment and passion to the club.<br />

Two-times Fans’ <strong>Player</strong> of the Season Mikki Austin has firmly cemented<br />

herself as a key member of the <strong>Surrey</strong> <strong>Storm</strong> squad since signing in 2015.<br />

Part of the back-to-back title winning Superleague squad, Mikki is a vital role<br />

model in the club’s community coaching programme across London and the<br />

South East, leading sessions for adults and juniors to inspire people to take<br />

part in the sport.<br />

Katie Harris broke into the <strong>Surrey</strong> <strong>Storm</strong> starting 7 at the start of the 2017<br />

in training for both the NPL youth and senior squads.<br />

A graduate of the University of <strong>Surrey</strong>, Katie is certainly not shy of a<br />

long-bomb or two, much to the delight of the on-looking <strong>Storm</strong> faithful!<br />

Jo was a vital part of the regular season title winning Loughborough Lightning<br />

squad last season, picking up her first runners-up medal in the process,<br />

of South Africa’s squads. Their shooting expertise and chemistry on the court<br />

should make for an electric partnership this season.<br />

major part of her game, adding a strong defence to <strong>Storm</strong>’s mid-court.<br />

looking to ensure opposition attackers are kept quiet this season. Director of<br />

Netball Tania Hoffman was particularly impressed by Jade’s ball winning<br />

ability.<br />
