Katie has been an active
supporter and fundraiser
for Alder Hey Children’s
Charity helping to
promote the Matalan
#getyourstripes and
“Everyone at Alder Hey has
always been very kind to me;
the nurses, my surgeon Mr
Colin Bruce, Jo and the rest
of the physiotherapy and
hydrotherapy team. They are all
helping me to get strong again.”
Katie is now able to walk
unaided, albeit only a few steps
at a time, but her positivity has
rubbed off on almost everyone
she meets
“I’m so proud of Katie,” explains
Clare.
“She has come such a long way.
She is constantly smiling and
just loves to help and cheer up
other people.”
