Give Methodically<br />
The Bible instructs us to give a portion of<br />
our money away to help others, to support<br />
the Church, and to support worthy organizations.<br />
We are asked to give something back<br />
as a testimony of our gratitude to God for His<br />
generosity in the first place and to acknowledge<br />
His ownership of everything we have and are. In<br />
Scripture, we are asked to return a “tithe” or ten<br />
percent of our income, plus freewill offerings.<br />
For example, in Leviticus 27:30 we read: “And<br />
all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of<br />
the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s.<br />
It is holy to the Lord.” Similar instructions can<br />
be found in Numbers 18:21, Deuteronomy 12:6,<br />
14:28, 26:12. If you feel you are unable to begin<br />
giving at the tithe or ten percent level, read<br />
Malachi 3:10 over and over until you take God<br />
