AND AS WELL AS TO SPREAD ISLAM.

they live in such houses since the
houses suites the weather or the
coastal climate.
they also tend to have such houses
since the makuti material is the
only source that they can use to
thatch their houses and also since
some of the have finance
problems

the Swahili men are
mostly preachers they go
around the world to
preach about Islam and
therefore they get paid by
the elders.
some of the Swahili women get
their daily bread from drawing
designs using henna to brides
during wedding ceremonies or in
any celebration.
some foods they eat are kaimati,
it's my birthday!

are mostly Muslims they
pray five times daily.

usually for praying

quran or performing
ceremonies such as
weddings and eid-ul

cram the verses in the holy
quran in which they call
ayahs. they usually have
Muslim classes mostly for the
children but also adults and
old men and women also
attend to seek information.
