Currently, in terms of the productions, the <strong>DSSC</strong> has not been entered into the<br />

commercial production, most of the companies are focus on the research and little<br />

demonstration project, for example, the G24 Power has installed some <strong>DSSC</strong> in the<br />

MGM Grand Hotel’ 8000 Window; the GRENE has about 3000 m2 capacity but it does<br />

not have big deal;<br />

Currently, in terms of the industry chain, the <strong>DSSC</strong> is not complete, but in different<br />

region, the industry chain has different complete degree; for example, in the Taiwan<br />

region, the upstream raw material is relative concentrated and they have relative close<br />

relationship with the downstream manufacture, the Everlight Chemical has good<br />

performance in the raw material, the GRENE’ raw material and product are researched<br />

by themselves;<br />

In terms of price, the high price is also one important facture; and currently, lot of the<br />

manufactures and research institute has stopped their research, so that the <strong>DSSC</strong> can<br />

not enter the commercial production, the price of one watt is about 10 USD;<br />

In term of conversion rate, the conversion<br />

rate is about 12-14% in the laboratory, small<br />

batch production volume is about 6-8%, the<br />

conversion rate is too low, so almost all of the<br />

manufactures don’t have batch production;<br />

In the future, the biggest two factures<br />

are the price and conversion rate, but<br />

the research and development efforts<br />

are not enough; if the conversion rate or<br />

the price can be solved, the <strong>DSSC</strong> will<br />
