samecreed,thesamebelief.Thereisnodifferenceamongthem.<br />
Theirdifferenceisonlyinworships.Andthis,inturn,isafacility<br />
for Muslims. The Shiites, on the other h<strong>and</strong>, parted into twelve<br />

Thearrogantyoungster,Muhammad<strong>of</strong>Najd,wouldfollowhis<br />
nafs(hissensuousdesires)inunderst<strong>and</strong>ingtheQur’ân<strong>and</strong>the<br />
Sunna. He would completely ignore the views <strong>of</strong> scholars, not<br />
onlythose<strong>of</strong>thescholars<strong>of</strong>histime<strong>and</strong>theleaders<strong>of</strong>thefour<br />
madh-habs, but also those <strong>of</strong> the notable Sahâbîs such as Abû<br />
Bakr<strong>and</strong>’Umar.WheneverhecameacrossaKoranic(Qur’ân)<br />
versewhichhethoughtwascontradictorywiththeviews<strong>of</strong>those<br />
people,hewouldsay,“TheProphetsaid:‘I have left the Qur’ân<br />
<strong>and</strong> the Sunna for you.’ Hedidnotsay,‘IhavelefttheQur’ân,the<br />
Sunna, the Sahâba, <strong>and</strong> the imâms <strong>of</strong> madh-habs for you.’ [1]<br />
Therefore,thethingwhichisfardist<strong>of</strong>ollowtheQur’ân<strong>and</strong>the<br />
Sunnanomatterhowcontrarytheymayseemtobetotheviews<br />
<strong>of</strong> the madh-habs or to the statements <strong>of</strong> the Sahâba <strong>and</strong><br />

scholars<strong>of</strong>Ahlas-sunnaorthefourimâmsiscontrarytoQur’ânalkerîm<strong>and</strong>hadîth-i-sherîfs.Theydidnotmakeanyadditionstothese<br />
sources, but they explained them. Wahhabis, like their <strong>British</strong><br />
