CONTENT<br />
You are a dentist, who works with a laser, and you want to<br />
widen your laser application spectrum, to intensify your<br />
knowledge and to win more confidence. In addition you<br />
think about the questions, how you may optimize the integration<br />
of you laser in daily routine, how can the team be<br />
involved. The answers will be given in this course.<br />
In the morning you accompany the speaker and experience<br />
the clinical application of various laser types in different<br />
indications.<br />
In the afternoon the course is focused on the discussion<br />
of clinical cases, which are presented with the starting<br />
findings, proceeding of therapy and short and long term<br />
results. Settings, side effects, alternatives and limitations<br />
will be discussed, the current studies shown.<br />

Intensive course with clinical applications<br />
Content<br />
This course teaches the basic principles of a well-founded<br />
access to laser dentistry. We present beside the basics in<br />
laser physics, the interaction laser light - oral tissue and<br />
safety an overview of the clinical application with its opportunities<br />
and limitations. The certificate will be handed<br />
out, in many countries a prerequisite to work with a dental<br />
laser and <strong>for</strong> all beginners a recommendation.<br />
The topics: Function and effect of laser and laser safety as<br />
well as the clinical application and its opportunities and<br />
limitations at a glance. The course is completed by practical<br />
advices <strong>for</strong> laser introduction into the practice as well as<br />
an issue of a billing compendium and 2 hours of clinical<br />
application on patients:<br />
different lasers – different indications.<br />

Content<br />
The curriculum is a very intensive clinical and academic<br />
course over 2 days. It enables the dentist to applicate the<br />
laser safely and efficiently. The content of the curriculum<br />
are live OP´s with different laser types and in various<br />
indications, hands-on exercises with the laser units,<br />
academic presentation of clinical cases including all wave<br />
lengths, different settings, long term results including<br />
correspondent scientific publication and research.<br />
The curriculum will be completed by the aspects of<br />
laser safety, questions and answers and marketing.<br />
If the dentist passed the exam and presented a<br />
documentation (digitally <strong>for</strong>m will be given) of 80 hours<br />
work with the laser, the DIPLOMA in LASER DENTISTRY<br />
will be awarded.<br />

Clinical and academic course<br />
Routines – effects – research<br />
Content<br />
This course will enable the dentist or DH to use the laser on<br />
patients safely and efficiently. In the clinical and practical<br />
part live OP‘s will be shown and hands-on <strong>for</strong> exercising<br />
executed. In the theoretical part lectures will be presented<br />
about basic of physics and laser-tissue interaction (to understand,<br />
how a laser acts in therapy and which settings<br />
are suitable), safety and clinical cases, which show the effects<br />
and work out the indication of the laser. The presentation<br />
of papers in order to substantiate the features will<br />
complete the program.<br />
Friday morning the clinical part will take place, in the<br />
afternoon hands-on exercises and the presentation.<br />
Saturday morning the theoretical part will be continued.<br />
The course is an interactive one. The subjects can be<br />
discussed in between.<br />
