XENIA POOLE
Editor’s column
Every year starts the same – with a pledge, a promise, a resolve to
be better. To lose weight, quit smoking, pay off debt, change jobs.
If one of those, or all of those, happened you’d be a better person.
You could finally start living the life you’ve dreamed about.
Come February/March, resolve waning, you talk yourself down. It’s
not the right time. You haven’t been logical and realistic about your
pledge. You’re destined never to be better.
It’s a rut that many fall into and, ruts being what they are, can
become increasingly difficult to get out of. Once you don’t
believe that change is possible, that you can be ‘better’, you’ve
already lost.
Many people (myself included) are huge advocates of personal
development in helping you get to where you want to be in life.
However, if you’re looking for a ‘fix’, it’s important to remember this
when approaching personal development: there isn’t a book out
there that can help you grow without you taking action.
It’s easy to get caught up in the next best thing that’s going to help
you revolutionise your life. In fact, simply by reading, watching,
searching for and consuming the information that will help, you can
often feel like you’ve already won the battle! It’s good to want to be
better, to want to achieve your goals and create the lifestyle you
want. Don’t get caught up looking externally for answers, though,
when the most important part of personal development is
actually you!
There’s no one-size-fits-all solution for being the architect of your
own life. You have infinite potential and there are limitless
possibilities, but it all starts with you. Yes, following a successful
person’s morning routine might work for a while, but unless it’s right
for you it’s doomed for failure in the end.
Use personal development as a helpful pick and mix. If something
resonates with you, try it. If it doesn’t work, don’t beat yourself up.
Growth isn’t a one-time occurrence – it’s a constant, so if something
that works for you now, it might not necessarily work for you next
year. Keep learning, keep researching, keep re-evaluating. The most
learned person in the land doesn’t know what is best for YOU, so
make sure you keep yourself in mind every step you take.
What you learn in life is always important. How you weave that
learning into your life is more important.
Lastly, you need to enjoy the journey and if you’re already starting
off believing that you’re not good enough and that you need fixing,
it’s not going to be pleasurable. Be kind to yourself, because you’re
already enough. Life is to be lived and enjoyed in the moment, so
make sure you’re doing that first and foremost. To live this way and
pursue your goals is not mutually exclusive, in fact, you’re more
likely to achieve everything you’ve ever wanted.
It’s time to make personal development personal.
So how can you make sure that you’re following personal
development in the best possible way – a way that will help you
grow as a person and not feel like you’re forever chasing a perfect
state that (let’s face it) will never be attainable and more than likely
make you feel worse for having tried and failed.
MICHAEL KHATKAR
Managing Director
In five years, Kleeneze will hit an incredible milestone – its
centenary. This is a hugely exciting time, as we start the countdown.
100 years in business is an achievement that not many other
companies can boast about.
Over the years, Kleeneze has seen wars, recessions and many
moves, but it still continues to create unbelievable lifestyles for
those who work it. The prospect of working for yourself, choosing
your own hours and creating your own income appeals to people
from all walks of life. Add into the mix that you need no specific
experience or training and it means that absolutely anyone can not
only start a Kleeneze business but make it a huge success.
We’re nearly 100 and in that time, we’ve evolved a lot, keeping up to
date with product and marketing trends. Our ranges are different,
interesting and provide solutions to every day problems around the
home, garden, even car!
It’s such a simple system. Retail from the vast range of products in
our catalogues and online and teach others to do the same. Our
success lies in the simplicity of our business model, along with a
Network of Distributors determined to help each other succeed.
Towards the end of last year, we launched a new logo and strapline
to start our centenary countdown. It was Stronger Together. For
Kleeneze, this is a new era: one of communication and partnership
between the Network and HQ. It’s that partnership that will take us
through the next five years into an even brighter, stronger future. It’s
all dependent upon us working together.
They say if you believe, you will achieve. I have massive,
unwavering belief in this business and the people within it.
I have already seen how many lives it has changed for the
better and I know that it has the power to create unbelievable
lifestyles.
Communication and support levels have been like nothing I’ve ever
witnessed before in this industry. We’ve come together as a great
force to work for the future. Your determination and effort has been
powerful and inspiring.
We have a huge opportunity to move forward together and take
this business to the next level. We already know that this business
changes lives – it’s up to us together to decide how many lives
that could be. Only by working together can we make everyone’s
individual success stories.
We are living proof of how people can work together and succeed
together. The old, made-up-by-me adage ‘Behind every great HQ is
an amazing NETWORK of special people’ has never been truer as it
is today.
ISSUE 1, 2018 5

By Clare & Chris Kinsella
Go 18 is an incredible incentive
that will help and impact
every single business if you
take advantage of it. We want
to show you how you can
personally achieve it or help a
team member to achieve it and
grow your business.
6 ISSUE 1, 2018

CLARE & CHRIS KINSELLA
Gold Executive Distributors
YOUR PLAN
First things first - plan! It doesn’t always have to be the best plan, as
the best plans are constantly being tweaked, but we do all need a
starting point.
You need to decide how much you are going to personally commit
to achieving with your personal retail. Be realistic but do give that
extra push. We personally recommend at least 10% (650BP).
TOP TIP: Look after your account and keep it running
smoothly, paying in all monies owed promptly so it doesn’t hold
you back when turning orders around.
You now need to look at what is left, so you know what sales your
team need to generate. For example, 18 % is 3400BP, so if you are
achieving 650BP, then you now need 2750BP from your
team combined.
Back to the plan. Break it down, have an end date in mind and work
backwards. Bear in mind that you need to achieve this at the latest
period 8 as you need to hold it for a minimum 6 periods.
You can achieve this in 3 periods if you throw everything you have
into it. Remember you all have what it takes, but it takes all you
got so really push. Whether you have a team yet or not, this can be
done.
0 -18% in 3 periods, just take it one step at a time.
Next period 13%
Period after 15%
Period after 18%
Now keep pushing and go for GOLD.
BUILDING A TEAM
Building a team is now your next step if you haven’t started already.
Do this with excitement. You don’t need to know everything or
be an expert (yet), just run with it and keep it simple. We are
showing others how to sell everyday products for every market
and every budget – it’s not rocket science! If you’re brand new at
this remember it’s not your responsibility to teach anyone, but it is
your responsibility to learn for yourself so lead by example and your
team will soon follow. Become a signpost – get good at pointing
people in the direction of the people who do know the business, as
well as the meetings, webinars, zooms, training days and
team pages.
TOP TIP: Work closely with your sponsor and/or successful
upline and be coachable. Follow the steps and learn to master
the mundane and give it time.
Sponsor 6 -8 people a period every period and watch your
business grow. Do this by speaking to 15 people a day minimum
about your business, whether that’s cold or warm market - more if
you want it faster.
TOP TIP: A good way to work your warm market is with a
third-party approach, asking do they know anyone who would
like to earn any extra cash. This avoids awkwardness and all the
mums hiding from you at the school gates!
Put your new people at an average of £300 each in a Period. Now,
it doesn’t sound like a lot, but you get some that will do a lot more
and some that do less some; some will even do nothing, so it evens
out.
TOP TIP: Do it as fast as you can, success loves speed and it
becomes much easier the faster you do it.
ISSUE 1, 2018 7

To get to 18%, if you do 650BP and you need 270BP from your team,
with all of them doing about 250BP, then you’re looking at about
11 team members. If you follow the system of 5-8 a week, you will
more than achieve this in your 3 periods.
TOP TIP: If you have never sponsored before, it can take
about 6 weeks to build momentum, but if you consistently speak
to people daily and generate enough leads it will snowball. Give
it time.
When you have a new team, even if you don’t know what you’re
doing, look after them: hold their hand every step of the way and
always put yourself in their shoes. Remember how you felt when you
started - keep it as real as possible.
TOP TIP: If you’re already building a team; encourage
duplication, make sure they’re aware of Go 18 in 2018 and upgrade
anyone who wants to achieve this. It will help you achieve it along
the way, as well as your team member.
TRACKING
The key is to track your activity – whether you write it down on a
board, on a notepad, on a spreadsheet – whatever you prefer or even
all of them!
Keep checking you’re on target for your goals: check you’re doing
enough activity, speaking to enough people, and working with the
people you have introduced.
PERSONALLY DEVELOP
You are paid in this business for the value you offer your team, so
if you want to earn more money, become more valuable - simple!
When we join this business, we are not experts in network marketing
or people, handling emotions or helping others handle emotions; we
must develop these skills, to learn them. This is why the saying is
used a lot in this business – the more you learn, the more
you earn.
Our business started to have its biggest jumps when we started to
develop alongside doing the actions that got our business moving.
Your successful upline will advise you on what book is right for you to
start you off, but remember action is the most important part. Your
work ethic comes hand in hand with being able to discipline your
disappointments, so do both at a high level.
LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE
This incentive is a great tool, not to just get to 18%, not just for a
trip, but to have that turning point to grow. We have always used the
incentives to grow our business using them as stepping stones along
the way, so have this as your first stepping stone.
If you go for this and hold it the 6 months for the incentive,
you will more than likely hit Gold.
If you encourage your team to go for this, it could move your
business in a big way. If you achieve this quickly, you will increase
your income quickly.
Top tips
GO FOR GOLD
Have Gold as your target, not just 18%. Have
the £1,500 bonus as your bigger goal and
chalk off lots of other goals along the way!
REWARD YOURSELF ON
ACTIVITY, NOT RESULTS
If you do this and go to bed feeling
accomplished from the work you have done,
the results will just come flooding it
BE HAPPY WHERE YOU ARE
RIGHT NOW
Accept where you are and don’t compare
yourself to others. Feel good about what you
have already achieved in life and keep striving
to move closer to your goal at the same time
DRAW OUT WHAT YOUR
BUSINESS WILL LOOK LIKE AT THE
END OF THE YEAR
I have a drawing on my wall of what my
business will look like in January 2019, with
lots of circles for our new Gold distributors to
go in as they achieve it. This keeps me focused
on what we’re working towards and what that
will give us.
WRITE OUT YOUR GOALS
EACH NIGHT BEFORE BED
I write my goals every night before I go to
sleep so I have in my mind what we’re going to
achieve.
You can have it all
Kelly Mcloughlin - My Kleeneze Story
A child or a career? This is a question many women feel they have no choice but to answer. Is it the
priority to go out to work and earn money to give your child a better life? Or is it more significant
to be there for your children, all the time struggling to make ends meet? Finding a job – any job –
that will pay for childcare and allow you to take time off when you need to can be hard enough.
Finding something that you love to do and fits around your family is nigh on impossible. Or is it?
34-year-old Kelly Mcloughlin was working five different part-time cleaning jobs just to make
ends meet to help provide for her two children, aged 5 and 7. Not only was she missing spending
time with her family, increasingly she found herself using most of her wages on childcare.
Something had to change.
“I was going out to work at night and missing out
on putting the kids to bed and reading to
them,” remembers Kelly. “I had childcare
bills that were taking most of my wages
and that was on top of relying on family
to help look after them too. I thought,
‘what’s the point?’ Kelly started to look
around for something else, but the
part-time jobs she was already doing had
been hard enough to find, as they had to fit
in around the children.
“I thought there must be something out there that I can do to earn
money, but still be a full-time mum,” she explains. “That’s when I
came across an advert on Facebook. The first thing that caught my
eye was the products that were being sold. I knew I could sell them
too. I responded to the advert and in January 2017, joined Kleeneze.
“I love building my business. It’s so flexible that it works perfectly
around the kids. They love getting involved and helping with my work
too. I work it all online, trying to do at least 4 hours a day. I do a lot
once the kids have gone to bed.”
Now moving up the sales plan and growing her team, Kelly is making
plans for the future with her Kleeneze business.
“During my journey with Kleeneze, I have made some great friends.
I have hit the 18% bonus level and I’ve started building a great
team of my own. I have finally managed to quit 4 of my jobs and, with
the extra income coming in from the business,
I’m far better off.
“I don’t have childcare costs anymore and, since joining, I have never
missed a school play, outing or a bedtime story.
“I’m now aiming on finally quitting my last remaining part-time job
to concentrate on the business full time. I would love to qualify for
an incentive trip with Kleeneze and I’m so excited about what the
future holds. I’m doing this for my children, to have a better family
life and to never miss out on them growing up.”
“I thought there must be
something out there that I
can do to earn money but
still be a full-time mum”
of the year
2017
Platinum Premier
Distributor
10 ISSUE 1, 2018
After a roller-coaster year in
2017, Kleeneze came together
ready to start a new chapter,
stronger together. In five
years’ time, the business will
mark it’s 100th anniversary – an
incredible milestone. We’re rooted
in history and throughout many
changes in the business, Kleeneze has
continued to create incredible lifestyles
for people from all walks of life.
One of the business’s biggest supporters,
someone who embodies the slogan ‘stronger
together’ and who has experienced over 5 decades of
Kleeneze success, is our latest Distributor of the Year. It is, of
course, the lovely Gill Nicholson, who took to the stage last year
to tell us her story.
My story is slightly different from most. Our family has been involved
in Kleeneze for over half a century – 56 years. It feels like a blink
of an eye. You can’t imagine how many changes I’ve seen in that
time. Change for all of us is scary, but it’s exciting. If Kleeneze hadn’t
changed in all these years, you’d still be knocking on doors like I did,
selling your products from a suitcase.
The joy of Kleeneze is just that – the ability to change.
My dad started Kleeneze in 1961. Like many of us do, he started part time to help buy the kids
new shoes, help with the mortgage and to afford food for his growing family. Part time agents,
as they were known back then, didn’t get a suitcase to sell out of. What he got was an A4 sheet
of paper, folded in half with products on them. After about 18 months, he left Kleeneze.

GILL NICHOLSON
Distributor of the year 2017
After he left, he was approached by the area manager to go out for
lunch. He found out then that he was one of the top five salesman.
He never knew. His manager never told him and, as a part-time
agent, he never qualified for the monthly newsletter. Today, thank
goodness, we’re recognised at every step of our Kleeneze journey.
Dad returned to Kleeneze and after three years decided to leave the
fire service and become a full-time door-to-door salesman, losing
his pension in the process. In that last year of being a fireman, my
dad earned £950 per year. His very first full-time year in Kleeneze, he
earned £2,500. We had nothing like the products today, but work
ethic was key. If dad was late home, it either meant two things: He
was having a bad day and hadn’t hit his goal of selling £10 worth of
products or he was having such a good day, he didn’t want to leave it.
As is sod’s law, as soon as you decide to change and go full time
with Kleeneze, something major will happen. The wheel will drop
off your car or, as in my dad’s case, he got very poorly for the next
9 months. Mum had taken a job to ease the pressure, because she
knew how much he wanted to do Kleeneze, so we started helping
with his deliveries. In 1967, dad asked if I wanted to do Kleeneze.
He knew I didn’t like travelling to London to work, so he gave me
extensive training on all the products and the uses around the
home, a quick demonstration on the doorstep and off we went. Dad
hid behind the hedge as I knocked on my first door and listened in
horror as I said: “Hi, I’m Gillian, your Kleeneze agent. You don’t want
to buy anything do you?” Unsurprisingly, they didn’t. Three years
later, dad’s group – the Chelmsford office – lead the company. Dad
became a Corporate Executive.
There were many changes over the years. The suitcases
disappeared, we stopped making our own products, areas and
branch managers went, we moved, moved and then moved again.
I think this latest move has been the best, though, I feel we have
taken control of Kleeneze once more.
When I was retailing at 19, deliveries were every two weeks. If we’d
not cleared half the balance on the following week, we didn’t get
goods after that. No bonuses and no territories. People left because
the territories went. Some people left because the suitcases went.
Some of those changes didn’t work, some of them were painful, but
throughout it all, Kleeneze did work, which has been proven time
and time again.
Kleeneze has given those of us who saw the bigger picture, a chance
to carve a new life for ourselves.
After two heart attacks and two strokes, mum and dad asked me
if I wanted to take over the business. It was 1994 and it had been
a terrible year for our family. I had lost my son, Jamie, whilst on
holiday in Corfu. My boss had given me an appraisal and had
expressed concern about the time I had off. He felt after nine
months, I should be getting over the loss of my son. At that point, I
jumped at the chance to take over from mum and dad and leave my
job. I made so many mistakes whilst learning – but I’ve loved my life
in Kleeneze over the past 21 years.
“Kleeneze has given those
of us who saw the bigger
picture, a chance to carve
a new life for ourselves”
Through Kleeneze, I started to learn my lifetime goals.
I certainly have the travel bug, but with Kleeneze I can work all over
the world. I can allocate leads, I can speak to prospects. I always
wanted to own my own home, so in true Essex girl style I bought
three: a villa in Spain, a bungalow which I rented out and my home
in Tewkesbury. All my life I dreamed of owning a home in the middle
of a field, so I built one.
Kleeneze is an amazing journey, as is life – full of peaks and
troughs. It’s what we choose to do with it that’s key.
for my children”
12 ISSUE 1, 2018

EMMA OPACIC
Gold Distributor
“I’ve been a qualified nurse since 1998, working my way up to Nurse
Practitioner – a role in which I’ve been for the past 11 years. Since
having my two boys, Jacob (8) and Izaak (6), I’ve changed jobs to
try and fit work around them, but as a nurse you can’t just walk
away, and I always ended up doing more hours than I was being
contracted for. Some of the time, I wouldn’t even get paid for those
extra hours. The more I worked, the more stressful my job became,
as I was torn with guilt for not being around for my boys.
When Tracey Payne, who I know through mutual friends, messaged
me to see if I knew anyone who may be interested in joining the
business, I had a look at the video and thought I could give it a go.
It would give us a little extra money and I could do it with my boys
at home with me. I met Tracey for a coffee to discuss it more and by
the end of the meeting, I’d signed up to Kleeneze on the £50 Kit. I
had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
In my first full month, I hit 10%, then 13% and then 15%.
I was so chuffed! That first cheque was for £293.
I didn’t set big goals when I started. All I wanted to do is to get my
catalogues out three times a week. However, I quickly hit all my
Welcome Rewards and earned free catalogues. Plus, I finally had
time with my boys. Doing Kleeneze around my current job meant
that I didn’t have to do an extra nursing shift and worry about being
away from my children or getting home on time. It was a novelty.
I was still working 5 days a week, so I had to make sure I had good
time management. I was determined, though. Failure is not an
option!
The six weeks school holiday rolled around, and I had to practically
pack my boys off for four weeks to their grandparents due to work.
Around the same time, I attended a team rally, and after that I swore
that the next time school holidays came round, I would be there for
my boys.
Team building happened very quickly. My oldest and best friend
phoned me up to see what my new venture was within a week of
me starting up! I was only just getting to grips with things myself, so
was grateful for being so well supported when she asked to sign up.
I sat down and spoke to Tracey about what I needed to do to go
Gold when we were at the next local opportunity meeting. I was
still working as a nurse in a very stressful environment. I had been
running at 18% for a while, but after speaking to my husband, he
said he would start helping a bit more so that we could move up the
Sales Plan and we could hit Gold.
Work had had changed for for me me in in January. I had I had become very very frustrated
with frustrated my role with and environment. my role and environment. I think I had just I think accepted I had it just for so
My children continue to be my biggest motivation, as I want to
be around for them. I’m also focused on helping my team to achieve
their goals.
The best part about Kleeneze has been meeting a fantastic group
of people who I can now call friends. I’m able to spend time with
family and be there for them. My work life balance has completely
changed. I get to take my children to school every day. I work about
6 locum shifts a month now to put more time in to my Kleeneze
business. Yes, at some point I would love to only do Kleeneze. Our
quality of life has changed, and I am finally doing what I’ve
tried to do for the past 8 years – be there for my children. I don’t
want to miss any more and Kleeneze has helped me to do that.”
The
Bigger
Picture
Do you remember the last time you went on holiday? Did you show
up at the airport with no idea where you were going to go, how much
it was going to cost and no luggage? As adventurous as that holiday
sounds, the chances are you researched it meticulously, asked friends
and family for recommendations, made lists, budgeted and carefully
planned your trip away. It begs the question, why do we put so much
time and effort planning a 10-day trip abroad and yet leave our own
life planning down to chance? Could it be too daunting a task for us to
undertake? Maybe it’s time we felt the fear and did it anyway.
20 ISSUE 1, 2018

YOUR PLAN
Planning doesn’t have to be boring – especially when
it’s the plans for your life that we’re talking about. Set
some time aside, grab a piece of paper and write down
absolutely everything you would love to accomplish
with your life. Whether you want to pay off some debt
or star in a Hollywood movie – write it all down.
SIFT IT OUT
Which of these goals would you like to achieve in the
next five years? Start imagining yourself in five years –
What do you look like? Where do you live? What are you
doing? What’s really important for you to achieve.
BREAK IT DOWN
Now it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty. How are
you going to achieve your goals? Taking each goal,
one by one, make a list of everything you’d need to
do, learn, accumulate etc to achieve it. Set smaller
manageable goals for along the way, so you don’t lose
track. Take another piece of paper and split it into five
– one for each year. Where do you need to be with your
goal by the first year? And by the second?
GO ONE STEP FURTHER
The more detailed your plan is, the more likely you
are to stick to it. Make those smaller goals even more
manageable by breaking the steps down into monthly,
weekly or even daily tasks. Get it all planned in.
YOU CONTROL YOUR LIFE
Know that things change. Just because you want one
thing this year, doesn’t mean to say you will want it
the next year! Your long-term plans can often need
adjusting to fit your life and that’s ok. The main thing
is that you’ve gained some focus and spent some time
thinking about what you want from your life. We’ve all
got only one, so let’s make sure we’re spending it doing
what we really want
to in life.
SUCCESS SNIPPETS
“25 years ago, when I was 16, I had my
oldest child. Three years later, at 19, I
had my youngest. Being such a young
mum, I left school with no GCSEs and
I didn’t have time to work, because
of the children. When the youngest
started full-time school, I suddenly
found myself with a lot of time on my
hands, so started looking for something to
do. However, it was hard finding work
– I had no qualifications nor experience and no one wanted to
hire me. That’s when I found Kleeneze. It works perfectly for me.
I can take my children to school and pick them up. I don’t need a
childminder. I can work when I like and earn while I sleep.
I cannot wait for my family’s future now. We will have nice things,
holidays and be able to say yes you can have that, without having to
worry about the money. If you believe you can achieve, you can!”
Keri-Michelle Soanes
“Do our catalogues work? We joined this business four-and-a-half
years ago with only Kleeneze catalogues; we didn’t do online and
didn’t have the K Life range. I started with 250 catalogues for £160
back then. It was just the one catalogue through the door and I
got orders. Then my sister joined with a smaller catalogue. It was
much thinner, but she still got orders. We have to remember that
customers will buy from the catalogues, whether there is one,
two or three books in the pack. Having less books, having thinner
books – it doesn’t matter. Customers may have less to look at, but
possibly more time to look at the whole book, so can often lead to
more orders. Happy retailing all!”
Joanna Tonks
“Just wanted to say a big thank you to
Kleeneze, because it has enabled me to
buy tickets for a show for both me and
my daughter. Let’s just say she is
very excited!”
Sarah Weston
“These are online orders totalling £156 for one week – just from
our Facebook group. We picked up a new local customer from
the Facebook Live video in the same week, where all we did was
unpack our delivery and show the products. The customer got a
catalogue, we followed it up 48 hours later and got a £30 order.
Online and catalogues; Facebook Lives and follow-ups work.
Make sure you’re using all the tools you have available to you!”
Becky Spink
“What I really love about this business is that you can choose your
own hours and you are your own boss.
This week alone, we have had some amazing results from our
customer base of 70, we received £540-worth of sales. We managed
to blanket drop, in small chunks, 50 catalogues at a time from
Monday through to Thursday and also put an extra blanket drop on
top of the customer base. A whopping 320 books.
So overall, we did £610 in one week, which was a complete change,
because my goal was just to put out to my customer base in the
time-frame I had available. Then my daughter came up with the
idea of putting more books out in the evening. She’s been great,
giving me lots of ideas and wanting to get involved. Even my
customers say how fantastic she is!”
SUZI BLAIR
Silver Distributor
I’m so grateful I’m not missing
out on precious moments
“I joined Kleeneze when I was 8 months pregnant with my son. I remember sitting at home one day thinking to
myself that I really needed to sort my life out. I couldn’t bring a new life in to this world without sorting my own out
first. I was up to my eyeballs in debt and doing nothing about it. I knew that we’d need some extra income coming
in to the house with me being off work on maternity leave and I needed something that would work around having
a new-born baby too. I couldn’t stop thinking about the opportunity and thought to myself, if it doesn’t work it’s
only £25 and at least I know that I gave it a go. Boy, am I glad I did! So I joined on 29 October 2016. I got my first
Welcome Reward just 2 days later and my second on the 12th November. I then got my final welcome reward and
became a Kleeneze Star on 21 November - not even a month into the business. My first cheque was for £244.25 for
2 weeks work (now 8.5 months pregnant!).
I took some time off after I had my son, but quickly came back to
the business. I started getting into sponsoring at this stage and was
quickly learning all about the highs and lows of that! But from all the
personal development I was reading and listening to, I was learning,
and I didn’t let the setbacks phase me. In August I made the decision
to not return to my full-time job after maternity leave and now I’m
able to raise my son at home without having to rely on family or
spend a fortune on childcare! This has been the most rewarding and
satisfying thing I’ve been able to do in my adult life. Every day my son
does something new I’m so grateful that I don’t have to miss out on
these precious moments!
I absolutely love attending our team meetings with my amazing
upline Stacey Thomas and all of Team Aspiration. I love putting
together trainings and book reviews and sharing them with the
team. I get such satisfaction from it. I’ve decided this year to read
a minimum of one personal development book a month and then
do a book review on it for the team, so that’s keeping me massively
inspired. Stronger together!
26 ISSUE 1, 2018
So fast forward to January 2018 and the Birmingham Showcase.
I’d been to the Dublin Showcase before, but nothing prepared me for
the ‘Keep on, Keeping on’ mindset of Birmingham. The atmosphere,
the speakers, the excitement - it was all mind blowing. The speakers
that day really ignited a spark in me that hadn’t been there before.
That and personal issues at the time really spurred me in to action.
I began reading The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen and if no one takes
anything else from his testimonial please let it be that you make an
effort to read this book. I promise you if you read it and implement
the principles of the book, your life will never be the same again.
I’ve now got 5 fabulous team members in my own team and I’m
massively looking forward to sharing their successes in 2018. I have
a number of goals set in place for this year; to go 18% in 2018 (June
FYI). To go Gold in August (see you on stage!) and to maintain that
Gold level for the rest of the year. It’s such an exciting time to be
in the business. I’m focusing mainly online and sponsoring at the
moment and my Facebook marketplace sales have been incredible.
I retailed 10% last period in marketplace sales alone! This month’s
target is personal retail of 13%, so watch this space.
See you on stage!”
