Tinos, the third largest island in the Cycladic Group, is located near Syros, Mykonos and Andros. The Cultural Foundation of Tinos (I.TI.P.) is housed in a newly restored neo-classic, threestorey building, which lies on the island’s main port. The Cultural Foundation of Tinos provides both exhibition halls and a congress centre which offers an ideal venue for cultural and scien tific conferences, seminars, lectures and discussions, as well as bu siness meetings. The building is equipped with con tem po rary audio-vi sual systems, air conditioning, si mult a - neous inter pre tat ion systems in three languages, administrative support offices for conferences and work groups, as well as facilities for guests with special needs; it is fully computerised, comprising central micro pho - ne monitoring installation, Internet room and modern teleconference equipment. The conference halls have a capacity for up to 350 people. In the Foundation’s library, you will find works concerning the History of Tinos, from the Prehistoric period (5000 B.C.) to Modern times, as well as books on Greek art and culture. The building includes a 190mÇ hall available for Temporary Exhi bit ions with modern light - ing and equipment, free standing dividers, exhi bition venue, fire protection systems, speak er-microphone installation, video phone and infrastructure for video relay linking with the rest of the areas. The I.TI.P. also houses a permanent exhibition of works by Tinos’ famous sculptor Yannoulis Halepas, on the second floor of the building. The centre’s café is an ideal spot for relaxing over refreshments while admiring the breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea. In cooperation with the best hotels of the island, the centre can also arrange for excellent accommodation.
