Winners attend 22CM Southwest Choice Awards ceremony<br />

Winners of 22nd Century Media’s third annual Southwest<br />
Choice Awards were invited to attend a cocktail<br />
party and awards ceremony Feb. 28 at the Tinley Park<br />
Convention Center in Tinley Park.<br />
The honorees feasted on a variety of hors d’oeuvres<br />
including fresh vegetable crudites with ranch dip, charcuterie<br />
board, shrimp cocktail shooters, smoked salmon<br />
on rye with dill cream, grilled steak crostini with<br />
horseradish creme, arugula pesto and balsamic onions,<br />
prosciutto-wrapped asparagus with Boursin cheese and<br />
balsamic glaze, tomato-mozzarella caprese skewer, beef<br />
empanada with chipotle aioli, a pear, Brie and toasted almond<br />
filo purse, mini crab cakes, spinach-ricotta stuffed<br />
mushrooms, assorted mini quiche, pulled pork sliders,<br />
cucumber finger sandwiches and signature tomato soup<br />
with pesto shooters.<br />
The winner of the Apple Vacations trip for two<br />
to Riu Cancun was also announced at the event.<br />
Sharon Miller, of Tinley Park, was selected.<br />
Entertainment was provided by The Actors<br />
Gymnasium and included a living red carpet<br />
and stilt walker.<br />
The award winners received a Southwest<br />
Choice Awards plaque with their business<br />
name engraved on it and a photo from the<br />
ceremony of each business owner or representative.<br />
