REGA<br />
Rega Research started making specialist Hi-Fi<br />
equipment in 1973. Back then Rega produced<br />
just a single product, the first of many now<br />
famous turntables. The designer (and <strong>at</strong> th<strong>at</strong><br />
time production team) Roy Gandy had some very<br />
specific design goals which remain unchanged<br />
today.<br />
Each Rega design had to exhibit excellent sound<br />
reproduction, ease of use, strong reliability, and<br />
exceptional value for money. Roy achieved these<br />
goals through elegant technical solutions and clever<br />
production processes, often cre<strong>at</strong>ing award winning<br />
engineered assemblies <strong>at</strong> unbelievably low prices.<br />
Roy is still the owner and a key member of the<br />
design team.<br />
Rega now employs 85 people and manufactures<br />
more than 40 different products including CD players,<br />
amplifiers, DACs and loudspeakers. They remain a<br />
dedic<strong>at</strong>ed British manufacturer producing astounding<br />
sound quality and unrivalled value for money. Tight<br />
control on the quality and performance of their<br />
products is achieved in a 21,000sq.ft purpose built<br />
